Zelensky didn't come forward and say that Burisma was bribing Bidens before the sham impeachment.. Trump of course will never forgive him for that, but right now Trump will tolerate him because he wants to end the war. I saw somewhere that other Burisma directors were CIA,ie the Americans on the board .
Zelensky is laundering money back to dark money groups , he speaks with a lot of entitlement as if he knows something.
You are correct. I actually think Zelensky is a C-1-A operative. Clown. Druggie. F@ggot. Rigged into power. And he came into power after the C-1-A took over Ukraine.

Nuland, Susan Rice are operatives as well. Check their LinkedIn or work history. All have USAID work history or connections.

I read somewhere that Biden literally had to tell Zelensky that the stealing was too much and that they shouldn't be too out there. That time they were shopping bags and cars in Paris.

With my tax money oh.

Just seen a post that Ryan Routh the guy who attempted to kill Trump at the golf club had been speaking to a contact about buying a stinger missile from Ukraine. Contact was not a Fed guy.

NEW: The DOJ alleged in a late-Monday motion that would-be Trump assassin Ryan Routh ATTEMPTED TO BUY A ROCKET LAUNCHER FROM A UKRAINIAN ASSOCIATE weeks before his Sept. 15 attempt.

"I need equipment so that Trump cannot get elected," Routh allegedly told his Ukrainian associate.

The DOJ also claimed that Routh was in touch with a Mexican human trafficker about smuggling Afghans into the U.S.-- and later about escaping the country after he killed Trump--and that he used stolen license plates and fake names such as “John White” and “Brian Wilson.”

Funny you should say that. Remind me which party is advocating for revised child labor laws? So that more kids can be out of school and working to “earn their worth”. Hint: it’s the Republican Party!

This is from the guardian. I encourage you to look more into bills passed by republicans to remove child labor protections

I’m not in support of Chinese manufacturing practices. Not saying the USA has the best practices but definitely better than them. And do you know why the higher USA standards exist? Because of bleeding heart liberals. You make fun of us for caring too much but then brag about labor protections we have in the country. These protections were created after the snowflake-always-miserable-constantly-crying liberals fought for them.

Sounds like you want the same things we want. But you have to stop getting in your own way. We could have the American manufacturing you want but that would require strong unions, taxing the rich, and lots of regulations. All things Republicans hate.
The bottom line s you cant compete fairly with someone using a different standard. Its like you running a race with someone using banned steroids

China doesnt play fair, they manipulate their currency, they pay low wages, they dont care about their workers etc, Its either US meet them in using the same tactics or find other ways to counter them through tariffs

How can more regulations, taxing the rich and strong unions bring manufacturing, those 3 are all anti manufacturing. These are all the things absent in China which is why they are the manufacturing hub of the world

The solution is what descarado mentioned.

To the above I'd add making education cheaper.

Unfortunately, many business people and big brands would rather maximise profit by seeking cheaper labour and inputs elsewhere, which is why they've ended up in China and park their profit in Ireland. And by golly is it expensive to manufacture in America with human labour. Not only must you pay high living wages and energy cists, you must also make enough profit to cover pensions too, which, the longer you've been in business the more pensioners you'd have, and that cost must be paid by your customers who are likely watching their hard earned cents.

I do laugh when basilico says China steals ip. I can just about see him working for a foreign company in Nigeria but refusing to steal (learn) their ways so we don't call him a thief.
Yet when Trump or the republicans try to cut taxes like you stated up there, the same liberals will flare up

But there is the issue of cost.

Just imagine what an iphone would cost if made in America. They'd need to automate to come close, which wouldn't create jobs, and what they save by automation would be lost to the cost of energy etc.

People need to understand Adam Smith. It would stop them thinking manufacturers give a damn about them, hence unions. But some are against workers fighting for fairer employment rights.
Then the iphone should cost whatever it takes. Which would you rather take cheaper goods or people having jobs

When you have cheaper goods and many are out of job, the few working will have to pay more to take care of them. There is nothing more disgraceful than having more and more of your working population depend on welfare

Maybe just maybe you can find how American Manufacturing did under Biden. It was an explosion.

So feel a little bit of shame when you run around trying to act intelligent.
You are too dumb to understand anything

Only dumb people believed Biden did anything

President Biden is spending $7.5 billion to build EV charging infrastructure, but so far only 7 stations have opened from his “National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure” program, turning the program into a debacle.
Biden’s $7.5 billion EV charging stations program, which promised half a million installations, still has over 499,990 to go after three years. President Biden signed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law in November 2021, allocating $7.5 billion for electric vehicle charging, of which $5 billion is dedicated to building a network of chargers along major highways, called the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure program. Just seven electric-vehicle charging stations have begun operating with that $5-billion funding, marking “pathetic” progress, as automakers and others indicate that drastically expanding EV-charging stations is crucial to the wide deployment of electric vehicles, which is part of Biden’s climate change program. The seven EV-charging stations deployed to date consist of a few dozen total charging ports.

And if the bold is the reason dump is tanking the economy, then smart. And no, I don't expect him to announce that's his policy, and even expect him to lie if it were.

Unfortunately, Americans wouldn't exactly appreciate the reduction in wages if assets don't drop in value too, and I can't see asset depreciation being good policy anywhere not to talk of in the USA.
With the trade deals of the past 40yrs the middle class have been eroding, I travel through middle America and see many abandoned factories that you knew were once bubbling places with jobs

That is why wages cannot catch up, when you have 1000 people apply for 40 manufacturing jobs then the employer will logically lowball them

The American workers bargaining chip has been taken away

Ukraine Russian war exposed a lot of hidden truth and emboldened some countries to see the yansh of America.
People can talk politics but, the truth remains that the earlier the better for America.

People might think trump is taking this too far but that's the only option to keep America on the number one spot which is already slipping out of their hands..

Heaven help America if China become the world's number one economy, that's when they will know they have more enemies than friends.
Goodluck to the countries that think Trump and America is bad when they have to deal with Chinese Communist Party. If anyone thinks China will be doing the foolish father Xmas of America of the past 40yrs they should ask African countries where Chinese have been exploiting them

In America you at least have laws to hold them to, Good luck holding a Chinese manufacturer to anything

There’s so much to unpack in this post. Sorry for the long post.

1)so you’re okay with more expensive products as long as they are made in America? Right now, The only way to keep manufacturing jobs here is to force people to accept goods at very expensive price points. According to you guys, the economy was terrible under Biden and people are suffering. Your solution is to make the things they need even more expensive. How’s that for a solution?.

2) Other countries didn’t make buying from America hard. America made buying from itself hard. If American minimum wage is 10x the next trading partner, whose fault is it that the trading partner would be seeking more affordable options? We have this massively inflated currency that we force other countries to trade with. It’s to our benefit. But We can’t turn back and pretend that their currencies being weaker than ours doesn’t have an impact on how much more expensive buying from us is. I’m no economist but isn’t this obvious? Someone with a degree in international economics should correct me if I’m wrong please.

3) Now let’s talk about how I really feel about American manufacturing and jobs here. Because you’re either making assumptions about me now or conveniently forgotten that I’ve in the past spoken out about corporations shipping jobs abroad due to greed and maximizing profits. To which you whipped out your classic defense of greedy corporations and how profit is the ultimate holy grail. We could have manufacturing here if corporations would take a pay cut.

5) it’s rich that you suddenly care about American jobs. I thought no one owed anyone else a job? Wasn’t that your response to the mass layoffs? I digress but it can’t be ignored so I had to point it out.

6) I would love a boost in American manufacturing if done correctly. Putting tariffs first. Causing a crash in the market and hike in prices with no alternatives yet is a silly way to go about it.

7) Do you know there’s a world in which manufacturing happens in America, workers are paid fairly and the products don’t have to cost an arm and a leg? The only trade off would be that the companies don’t get to take in gargantuan profits with each quarter being better than the last. They would make good money still but that won’t satisfy their greed and knowing you, you’d rather support suffering for more expensive products than for billionaires to take a pay cut. So if you’re not in support of a system where we can make this happen, then you just like Trump are not yet serious about bringing manufacturing back to America.
💯💯

If the cost of the iphone is high say it goes to $5k, then a local American will start thinking of making a cheaper iphone wanabee to capture the people who dont have $5k to spend then leave the iphone to those who can really spend. An iphone is not a necessity its not oxygen

Even talking about Japanese cars, the same factory will manufacture a cheap Toyota and a more expensive Lexus to those who have more money

Tariff is knowing you have the advatange. America has an advantage, they have the market which everyone in the world wants a bite of, then its about you want something from my market, then give me something else in return. You cant be placing 250% tariffs on American goods, and expect America to play nice and let you roam its own market for free

There are people working in Fed govt who are doing real work and there are many who are not doing much, at least not the level of productivity of their peers in private sector, which is why a simple write 5 bullet points on what you have done last week caused riots

This is an example of a FG project and there are people there who got paid, consultants, PMs to use $7bn to deliver 7 stations

If I mask the name of the country and told you to guess which country used $7.5 to deliver 7 EV stations you probably will think Nigeria

Go to a Social security office, or drivers license office and see the queue there, Most Americans now believe its an entire days trip to visit the local Social security office or Drivers license office when you get to the desk you see some workers chatting away, or just taking their sweet 2hrs lunch break

See your table, see your computers. All look like stuff that was salvaged from a burning building.

You are right that this is one of the problems. While their move looks good, it also affect the economy as many companies struggle to absorb higher labor costs, leading them to cut back on employees or even relocate operations.
That is a conversation that the US has to have.
Do people actually want cheaper good/services or do they think people should be paid a living wage.

this is a link inside the articel

https://nypost.com/2024/06/05/business/democratic-senator-blasts-5b-program-as-failure-after-only-7-ev-charging-stations-open-in-3-years/

The White House goal is to grow the nationwide network of chargers to 500,000 ports, including high-speed chargers — no more than 50 miles apart — on the nation’s busiest highways.

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm told Reuters on Tuesday that 27 states have issued commercial requests to build charging stations and she expected about 1,000 EV-charging stations in public places to be operational by year-end from the federal government program.

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm said she expected about 1,000 EV-charging stations in public places to be operational by year-end from the federal government program.

“These are the hardest ones to do,” Granholm said, adding that some areas where charging stations will be deployed do not yet have electricity.

As of December, the United States had 183,000 public charging ports and since the start of the Biden administration, the number of publicly available fast-charging ports has increased by 90%, Bhatt said, adding he is confident the US will hit the 500,000 charging port goal.
i suspect this is a big oil article

and it is obviously tangential

as i write this, my company has installed 10 charging stations in lagos . we are installing two more this week

public charging station are either ac or dc. dc are the fast charging ones . a fast charger dc is rated from 60kw to 120kw to 300kw . these can charge your vehicle in 30 minutes

installing the charger is only one part of the equation. the other part of the equation is where do you get the power from? and who pays for it?

we met with a guy who wanted to deploy 3 chargers for a bus terminal we did the maths and told him he would need a transformer to power them properly . who then pays for the power? so all those issues have to be addressed since this is public infrastructure . that is the part the article is skimming over

the other part you are missing is this is actually how you grow industries

obama took two chances in his admin - solynara and tesla. solynara failed, but without the loan, tesla would have failed as well and that is actually how governments create industries and jobs - not by tariffs
