A popular socialite and hotel owner in Akure, the Ondo State capital, Adesoji Johnson Adeleye has been assassinated by unknown gunmen.

Adeleye, the Chief Executive Officer of Klass Five Hotel was killed in the early hours of Tuesday at his hotel in the Arakale area of the state capital.

LEADERSHIP gathered that the deceased slept in one of the rooms in the hotel when he was gruesomely murdered by some men suspected to be assassins.

A source told this newspaper that the armed men found their way into the hotel premises and met Adeleye who was awake and ready for the day’s work.

The men were said to have overpowered the hotel owner and stabbed him at several places and hit his head with a mortal resulting in his death.

A close associate of the deceased said they went out together on Monday night with a promise to meet again Tuesday but expressed surprise over the killing of his friend of many years.

A source within the community, however, said the incident was reported to the police while detectives from the State Police Command visited the scene of the incident.

He said the men of the Ondo State Police Command took the remains of the deceased to the morgue while some people were being questioned over the incident.

Confirming the incident, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Alexander Olayinka, said the middle-aged man was killed on his hotel premises.

He said, “We have sent a team of detectives to the place and we are on the trail of the perpetrators and as soon as we apprehend them, they will be brought to book.”

Olayinka however, said the case has been transferred to state police headquarters for discreet investigation.

Yeah, the justice will awaken the dead! Abeg, I don't need to show you anything! USA invaded Iraq looking for weapons of mass destruction. They killed hundreds of thousands!

Yet, nothing was found!

Those people died for what?

How many people died in the California wild fire and other similar fires, earthquakes and other disasters?

Whether they convict the ọwọ killers or not won't they meet their doom one day?

All of us will die!

im still wondering till now as no one is reporting the killing of 4farmers at Ala in Akure on Monday/Tuesday. Ondo state govt is not trying at all. The corpse were even brought to gov office Alagbaka by the villagers on Tuesday. This country is not safe for now.
