The role Partey played in Arsenal's midfield can be replicated by Onyedika. Partey sat as the central DM. Rice is a CDM but also a CM who operates as Arsenal's LCM in their 4-3-3 setup. Combines his offensive and defensive duties to top notch levels. Christantus Uche can play the Declan Rice role (LCM) for us as he did for Getafe in their last game where he bagged 2 assists. Then Iwobi will be our odegaard. The Ultra Creative RCM. This is me strictly setting up our 3 man midfield in a manner that mirrors Arsenal's. We can still get dynamic with our midfield 3 which I hope Chelle can inculcate and kill off this 2 man midfield nonsense. If we are not playing Onyeka alongside a suitable partner in a midfield 2, then don't play it at all. elyte89: |

Nomyth:Ejuke is Super Eagles most technical player. His input defensively is commendable. Sevilla will go on to concede after he is subbed off, it is now becoming a norm. Under Gasperini, Ademola Lookman individualistic approach to play is being jettisoned for a performance that is more team oriented. Chidera Ejuke's game should adopt a similar mould. |

joelsteron:good line up and formation but na Balogun inclusion spoil am Bro Balogun is 37 and not even a regular for Rangers. We have CBs who are younger and can fit in perfectly in that role even if u don’t want Ekong anymore just because of the mistake he made against Zimbabwe I would prefer to retain Bassey as LCB and maybe try out Ogbu at RCB with Aina as RB and Onyemaechi at LB This method of writing a player off just because of a mistake he made in a particular game isn’t encouraging at all Chukwueze hv been poor of late and I will prefer having iwobi in his position as an inverted LW who can easily come into the middle to create chances for the team then hv onyeka replace him in midfield A midfield trio of onyeka and Uche as CDM and B2B then onyedika as DLP/DM is worth experimenting Ndidi and Fisayo can serve as cover on the bench

elyte89:God 😲😲, I was just famzing Partey yesterday... He was so good. Azin so so good. Didn't lose any ball, really really really masterclass performance... The guy who sat beside me will wonder if I've never seen Partey before. He was my MOTM.. Damn... Claps. |

This highlighted trio in theory should be a perfect blend of steel, ball retention, and grit. For Iwobi I've seen him do well for Fulham on the wings worth trying out especially in place of Chukwueze. If everybody is fit in September later this year by God's grace midfield should be Iwobi, Fisayo, Onyedika, Chrisantus, Onyeka, Ndidi/Yusuf. Balogun could still have an impact when fit definitely a no-nonsense defender. If only Ebuehi could maintain form and fitness would definitely be my ideal back-up for Aina. charlesemeka85: |

chrisooblog:nawaooo the way una take dey throw player names out eeeh Ebuehi ke? Bro let’s focus on the ones that are fit and have been consistent for a while now. Osayi is good enough to serve as cover for Aina abeg Our problem isn’t the CB combination but midfield. Not that we don’t have good enough midfielders but the system of deploying only 2 in a game is what is dragging the team backwards I bet you that if the suggested midfield trio I mentioned in my previous post are tried as a unit in our future games you will see much improvement in the team |

joelsteron:and you watch him play always at Rangers? You don’t dare bring Ronaldo and Messi to this argument cus it doesn’t fit at all Judging by performance and stats Balogun isn’t even out best performing CB in europe and elsewhere this season. He haven’t even performed better than Ekong whom u all want out all of a sudden because of 1 error he made against Zimbabwe |

I am loving that midfield 3 and especially because of the role you assigned Iwobi. Playing him on the right or left as we see at Fulham will work. He will operate as a creative "Wingfielder" not winger particularly. Since Lookman is more effective from the left halfspace, then Iwobi will feature from the right benching Chuks. But damn! That midfield 3 of Onyeka, Onyedika, Uche potentially has the elements of a tactically balanced midfield force that still has an Iwobi on the pitch but wingwards. It rivals and "may" even be better than the potential trio of Iwobi, Onyedika and Uche based on who connects them on the right. charlesemeka85: |

Taking out the Liverpoolian Juggernauts was no small feat. The thing is whoever faces PSG should be ready to deal with their Steel and discipline at the back (Pacho, Marquinhos, Hakimi), their grit and technicality in the middle (Neves, Vitinha, Ruiz, Emery, etc) and most especially their insane firepower upfront (Doue, Dembele, Barcola, Kvara etc). If Arsenal survive the Madrid 2nd leg, I reckon PSG will be a much stronger test than Madrid. This is assuming PSG gets past sneaky Villa. charlesemeka85: |

TheSuperNerd:one thing pple don’t see in Chrisantus game is he is a ball playing midfielder with good technique and passing ability who is also a threat in the opposition’s 18 yard box. In him I see that B2B force/machine that we all have been yawning for many years. He is just like Yaya toure Onyeka will then serve as the CDM who can also venture forward when required but expected to be on alert to help onyedika wade off opposition’s threat in the middle Onyedika then will be given the full license and instruction to be the link between the defence to the entire team because of his accurate passing range both long and short and calmness on the ball |

Pacho just like Hincapie of Leverkusen and Ordonez of Club Brugges were discovered at Ecuador's biggest talent factory club, Independiente del Valle. Have you seen Ordonez? Rock solid CB who I believe Brugges bought Vince Osuji to replace once he is sold. Or maybe they plan to partner both but time will tell. All of them like that came from Del Valle... even Kendry Paez (Ecuador's biggest talent currently) that is Chelsea bound. Pacho went from there to Belgium first with Royal Antwerp before Frankfut snap am up. PSG no waste time after Pacho's one season in Germany. They nab am. Lol charlesemeka85: |
