1. You can't use Canada evaluation to file I140 for EB. You will have to contact WES again to evaluate your credentials to US equivalent.

2. On your chance, your endeavor is sounding like "A chemistry teacher" with 2 co authored papers. I think you have about 50pct chance of approval for NIW depending on the officer reviewing your case and how you package the application. Thanks so much foe your response, appreciate. Please note that
I am not a chemistry teacher, though taught chm for 1yr , I'm into research and development, I have worked with paint company as research and development chemist. At bottling companies as quality control, currently as research scientific protocol Manager, I belief based on my years of experience, I can decide not to add the MA in education psychology certification to it and article is related to research in bacteria effect in products. More advice will be welcome. And I'm registered with chemical society of Nigeria and as a chartered and licensed chemist with iccon, Nigeria.
3. Your master degree will have helped but it's not in Chemistry.

4. To improve your chances, try to study the criteria for EB2 more and work on more areas to improve your chances.

Remember the big question the officers look for is "what have you done with your degree that is significant to warrant US national interest and waive job offer requirement. And can you continue to do those significant things when you enter the US.

Now as a Chemistry teacher, how outstanding are you as a Chemistry teacher? Do you have documented evidences to prove how outstanding you have been as a Chemistry teacher? Papers you published, how significant is the information shared in those papers? Who are using it now ? What is potential use in future?

Based on more information, I will recommend you use "A research chemist" as your endeavor. With those post qualification work experiences you listed, I say you qualify on merits of both Exceptional ability and advanced degree requirements of EB2. See this link below.

A research chemist is of national interest to the US for sure and you will have to package your application to demonstrate how important is such scientist to the US national interest.

To demonstrate that you are well positioned to continue your endeavor in the US, keep being active in your professional organization pushing to the highest of "fellowship" if possible, keep publishing papers etc.

The papers you published sounds useful to me now. What is the current citations on those papers?

Overall, I am increasing your chances close to 80 pct, now based on how well you package the application.

On the side, have you checked EB1A criteria too? I can see you met 2 of the 10 criteria already based on the information you have provided so far.

I. To add derivatives is str8 forward, contact NVC either via public enquiry (they respond at a reasonable rate this days) or email with the information of the derivative to be added (Full name, address, relationship of derivative to you). To make things easier and faster, include civil documents to the request for adding derivatives e.g
a. passport biopage
b. birth certificate,
c. police report of the derivative such as birth certificate (double check what NVC accept for your country. If you are not sure ,check the one that applies to your derivative country of birth if he or she is not of same nationality as you). If anything is missing, NVC would notify you.

II. DQ remains the same. However, I have heard one or two conflicting report (hear say, no evidence i saw for myself) that Dq changed.

I am interested in the EB2-NIW application and i will like to check with the house if i qualify.

I have a BSC in Business, an MBA from Nexford university, chartered professional with CIPS UK - Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply. I have over 10 year years work experience mainly in the oil and gas sector (9 years ) as a Contracts and procurement specialist and currently working as a procurement advisory consultant, I have had a career break for 2 years (late 2022 to 2024). During my career break, i obtained my MBA degree and learnt other skills such as data analysis etc. I am working as a procurement advisory till date from January this year.

My questions are:
1. Is there a chance that i qualify?
2. Is there a guide with templates that can be shared to me so i can DIY?
3. Is there a Telegram group to join?
4. Can anyone who has been successfully with EB2-NIW please guide me?

I have been reading a lot of testimonials here especially from those who attempted DIY.

I have added the new derivative already. Also, I have made a payment and filled out the Ds-260 form for my newly added derivative.
I just want to know if I need to send photocopies of my new derivative to NVC, as I have done before. Anyway, I have told my friend to help me post it to them already.

DQ will definitely change. Best is to add derivative after you receive IL. At this stage, you deal with the embassy.

You met the requirements of EB2 Advanced degree or exceptional ability.

The big question is: Do you meet the requirements of NIW through the 3 prongs.

1. Prong 1: Evidence That Your Endeavor Has Substantial Merit and National Importance

So, what is your endeavor? Is it of national importance in the US? Procurement and Sourcing is of national importance based on how you argue and package your case.

2 . Prong 2: Evidence That You Are Well-Positioned to Advance Your Endeavor

I. Provide evidence of your education, skills, knowledge, and record of success in related or similar efforts.
Ii. Provide any evidence of a detailed proposal or plan that you developed, or played a significant role in developing, for future activities related to the proposed endeavor.
Iii. Explain how you plan to pursue your endeavor (for example, while employed at a particular company or through your own company) and any progress towards pursuing the proposed endeavor.
Iv. Provide evidence of the interest or support you have garnered from potential customers, users, investors, or other related entities or persons.

I think you can meet this prog2 by showing list of companies looking for Procurement professionals, some potential employers emails to you when you apply to their jobs. But you will have to apply like someone already having a work permit in the US so that employers can contact you after you applied. Many employers don't want to sponsor work permit.


3. Prong 3: On Balance, It Would Be Beneficial to the United States to Waive the Job Offer and Thus the Permanent Labor Certification Requirements. The benefit is especially weighty where the endeavor has the potential to support U.S. national security or enhance U.S. economic competitiveness.

This is where you will have to package Procurement and Sourcing professional as important to US national security or economic competitiveness. Can you do this??

On the DIY question, there are many DIY resources such as sample petition letters, reference letters on the internet. Many of these templates are usually sold though but it is better to get a template that had been used successfully by others in the past. I don't have these templates because I used an attorney to do my petitions. NotsonewMary shared the following link in the past as a get-started DIY resource.

I cannot help to write the petition or recommendation letters but I can help review strategies, arguments, how you intend to package or proof to meet any criteria, the petition, the recommendation letters, how to chose people to recommend you etc.
