---China exports to US has been reduced from 21.6% to 13.4%, the impact of this tariff is much smaller than Felon 47 first term---It has been able to diversify trade to every corner of the world and today it's the largest trading partner to 160 countries---By the way the China exports to US account for only 2% of China 19 trillions economy. Of course the 104% tariff will be felt---

---How do Felon 47 and his MAGAdiots expect China to make a call and negotiate a trade deal---
Can't edit. Don't forget that countries as Vietnam, Thailand, Sri Lanka , Mexico and Canada have low tariffs to US market China has been exporting through these countries to America market, the 16% figure could be much much higher.

Trump is milking liberation day fir all it's worth . Over 70 countries have called scheduling for negotiations

Bessent notes at the request of President Trump, all administration officials were to pull back from commentary following the “liberation day” tariff announcement. The objective was to give all nations’ time to absorb the impact while reducing the reverberation noise.

After a few days, President Trump then began to assess the inbound communication from various country leaders and their request for renegotiation. The priority schedule permits the honest trade allies to come first in the que to the office of U.S. Trade Representative Jamison Greer, as approved by President Trump.

The first two countries to get listened to are.
Japan
Korea

Not China , .not the EU.
The agreements reached between Japan and Korea will set the baseline for any further dealsxeith other countries

I do think it's much better than having to go bankrupt buying healthcare. And I bet that 2026 is an exaggeration. Wait for a non-cancer MRI is less than 6 weeks here in socialist UK if your doctor refers you.
That is someone with suspected brain cancer. Who tells you she will still be alive by 2026 or what's her chance of survival by then.

I'll rather be bankrupt and alive. A girl i know in Canada kept losing her pregnancies because she had a fibroid growing and next available surgery appointment was 3yrs in Canada

How's a female in her 30yrs with fibroid that's increasing in size daily supposed to wait with the pains for 3yrs and child bearing years to get a surgery

That will never be in the US

I notice you left China out of your list of communist countries. Glad you did, because its become capitalist since they abandoned Maoism.

If you had included China, I could gave said, "look at China". But you didn't, and took the wind right out of my sails.

https://youtu.m3SUG3rug?si=EgSAlM_0UR-D3DlL
You said China became capitalist which is why their middle class is growing. Unlike when they were fully communist and poverty was widespread

I know friends who schooled in the old European communist eastern bloc and met people who lived under communism. Ordinary cigarette was a luxury to them. The poverty was intense that's why every communist country needs to operate a police state otherwise the people will revolt or all run away towards prosperity

The synonym for communism should be poverty

Those millionaires they say we lost are mostly what is called non-doms.

Non-doms only pay UK tax on the money they earn in the UK. They do not have to pay tax to the UK government on money made elsewhere in the world (unless they pay that money into a UK bank account). And smarty, they don't earn or invest in UK, so create no jobs but benefit from our societal structure.

Basically tax dodgers. Good riddance.
How do you say they create no jobs?

Don't they eat in UK restaurants, have personal staff who they pay, build houses(employing builders), buy houses(employing realtors), party(employing cooks, DJs, strippers)

One millionaire can have 50 people working and getting their wages from him. Now that millionaire is out, those 50 people have to go find somewhere else to get their living or worse case have to fall on govt welfare which now stretches the current tax payers

That is early stage communism when millionaires are demonized and they leave the economy

When Jamal Kashoghi was killed by the Saudi prince, another American president would have started a righteous holy war against the Saudis to teach them about democracy like Obama did to Libya that you mentioned and destabilized the entire region more than it is currently.

Trump is basically saying it's America first, we mind our business in whatever does not concern American lives. We are no longer world police using tools like USAID

I guess it won’t sound so dramatic when you say it how it actually is. You have to dramatize and embellish for shock value.
Bills always have good intentions, many have hidden clauses.
You can lose custody of your child if you refuse to accept their feelings that they are in a different body.

HB25-1312. This bill enshrines that if you are having a custody dispute and your child is suffering from gender identity delusions, not affirming those delusions are considered child abuse and grounds for losing custody.”

Insurers must cover gender transitions .. including for children. What could go wrong?
HB25-1309, requires that all health insurance plans sold in the state cover medical gender transition interventions

Taxpayers should fund abortions. Noone should be forced to fund abortions..
SB25-183, which requires taxpayers to fund abortionsThe bill repeals a constitutional amendment that prohibited the use of taxpayer dollars on abortions and adds one, recognizing the right to an abortion and prohibiting Colorado state and local governments from denying, impeding, or discriminating against the exercise of that right, including prohibiting health insurance companies from excluding coverage for abortion,

If you are OK with that ,well and good.

neither will trumps tariffs. all that will happen is that americans purchasing power will drop, and americans will have to abandon consumerism for sustainability

"I want to emphasize that there is no winner in a trade war, and China does not want a trade war, but the Chinese government will by no means sit by when the legitimate rights and interests of its people are being hurt and deprived," said an official with the ministry........
......China hopes the United States will immediately remove its unilateral imposition of tariffs, and work with China to strengthen dialogue, manage differences, and promote cooperation.......that it is a typical act of unilateralism, protectionism and economic bullying for the United States to take tariffs as a weapon of exerting maximum pressure and pursuing self-interest

China tariffs are at 104% today. Apple flew in 5 cargo planes before the tariffs kicked in.
Will be a protracted war. As I've noted elsewhere, Japan and Korea will be the first to hold trade talks with Trump admin.
China cancelled 185 Boeing orders (around $10-12B) in favour of their commercial airline supplier COMAC though most of it was largely Boeing.

Trump wasn't happy about that

Wish I could love this more than once.

They are very oppositional to what they say they want.
I don’t know if it’s a phenomenon of “I must support my party at all costs” that’s causing this. Because if Kamala were in office and caused this market crash with financially illiterate tariffs, they wouldn’t have made the switch to suddenly supporting a market crash and higher costs for Americans.

As a matter of fact Trump ran on lying to them that Kamala would do the exact thing he’s doing now and what a terrible thing it would be. They all believed him. Now he’s doing what he accused her of and it’s suddenly a good thing? What happened between the time he was lying about that and now?

I can’t stand the shape shifting and disingenuousness of the right wing.

Purple lights, lol. My nephew wants lights too, so I've told him he has to pay the electric bill in the house and he agreed. Plan is to learn to build for my super rig in the future sometime, so we'd be selling this build. He convinced me lights are a selling point.

We struggled getting a motherboard. One with a usb-c port we ordered from Ebuyer could not be delivered, and we'd already got the other components, so we've gone with what is available quick. Will definitely take more time to get the components we want for our next build. It might be an AMD. As GloriousGbola said, 13 and 14 gen Intel is crappy.
Yeah, purple lights and case. Anything for my niece and she's a budding coder,

Yeah, the led lights are a fraction of the cost of incandescent, so probably won't account for a huge change. But the processor and case fans may. It's an i5, so will be somewhat better with power/heat. I would say be cautious of resale values, computers can devalue. But, given these tariffs you may make out.

Yeah, it's always a balance in picking the right board.
Haven't researched the new gens. When I did mine I did intel because it made more sense for my itx build.

Good Luck and Enjoy.

Half the time you guys are raving against communism you can’t even differentiate between that and socialism. Just repeating what your party leaders tell you is fact.

Just cause you say Kamala had a communist agenda doesn’t make it so. What it means is that you guys are unable to comprehend for yourselves what those systems actually mean but you believe it’s going to happen because republican leaders told you so.

What actually ends up happening is that you vote to extend your retirement age. Increase lack of access to affordable healthcare. Promote authoritarianism and fascism like is clearly happening now. And of course your chances of going bankrupt from a simple hospital stay skyrockets.

As someone in healthcare I’ll tell you for free that you would be more at risk under unbridled capitalism than any other system. Like you said when that CEO was shot in NY, the insurance companies have to make money and if it be at the cost of our lives or the lives of our loved ones, then so be it. Those were your sentiments.

The reason why we don’t have a healthcare catastrophe on our hands at the moment is because of socialist healthcare programs like Obamacare, Medicare and Medicaid. Remove these systems that democrats have fought to defend for the people and adopt strict capitalist healthcare systems and watch America combust.

You (generic) would be left to die because saving you won’t be profitable. That’s unbridled capitalism for you. Be careful what you wish for.

To reiterate, there’s need for a balanced checked capitalist economy. Not unbridled capitalism where greed is king. If you don’t agree, I have nothing else to say to you on the topic of capitalism versus other economic systems.
You need to see how other countries live to appreciate what you have in the US. There is no country I would rather live in than US

You want to know the impact of capitalism on Healthcare? Check the percentages of hospitals owned by private entities. Those private entities the main reasons they are building hospitals is for one major thing Money and profits. Actually private equities own about 10% of US hospitals. What do you think Private Equities are owning hospitals for?

So without the incentive for profits we will mostly be left with govt owned hospitals which only makes up 20% of current hospitals

In say a big metroplex like say Chicago if they have a total of 50 big hospitals(Trauma 1 to trauma 3), that means they will be 10 govt owned and the rest 40 hospitals will be between Faith orgaizations, charities, private ownerships including Private equities

That means these private profit seeking investment in Healthcare will employ more healthcare workers providing jobs, that means more people are covered and taken care of while the private equity makes their profit, everyone benefit

Now a scenario where we go for universal healthcare, private insurance companies leave the scene, that means the profit incentive leaves and most private investor leave the space.

A city like Chicago will go from 50 hospitals to 10 govt plus say 10 charity/faith based. So effectively from 50 to 20 hospitals. How does that not create a much bigger problem than the current system? That is how you start having people waiting for over 1yr to get a brain MRI scan where you can get in most US hospitals same day

This is why Emergency room wait times in US is about 2hrs 30mins while in Canada with Universal Healthcare its 23hours. 23hrs in ER. Then why is it EMERGENCY again?

https://www.cma.ca/latest-stories/insight-why-are-patients-spending-22-hours-emergency-room-waiting-hospital-bed

In 23hrs of waiting you can drive from Vancouver Canada to Tijuana Mexico crossing the entire US while a patient is still waiting to see a doctor in Ontario for an EMERGENCY

As someone in Healthcare you know every minute count for a patient in an emergency, Now waiting almost 1 day

Is this what you want for American healthcare? You will say no, but that is what happens when you take profit away, you take the incentive for private investors, you don't want their GREED in Healthcare, then they will take their GREED to somewhere else

This is just an example in Healthcare sector, we can do that to every sector, when you demonize profit making and call it GREED, they take their money elsewhere, the poor people suffer more

Or Do you think a rich man, his wife or kids in Canada will wait for 20hrs in an Emergency room or rather use his money to find a place he can pay and get service instantly

That is the problem with communism socialism and every variant of it, you say you want to punish the rich, eat the rich at the end of the day, the rich have other means to get by, its the poor who suffer more. Take 80% of Bezos wealth he is still rich, rather its the millions who make their living from him that will suffer

The worst form of capitalism is better than the best of communism

China tariffs are at 104% today. Apple flew in 5 cargo planes before the tariffs kicked in.
Will be a protracted war. As I've noted elsewhere, Japan and Korea will be the first to hold trade talks with Trump admin.
China cancelled 185 Boeing orders (around $10-12B) in favour of their commercial airline supplier COMAC though most of it was largely Boeing.

Trump wasn't happy about that

short answer

america used to be dicks - now trump is transitioning america into an arsehole that covers the world in shit
When America was interfering everywhere, Half of the world blamed it for their problems despite taking US Dollars daily

Now Trump is saying we will mind our business and only transact with other countries in a mutually beneficial way. If Assad, Ghadaffi, Abacha, Mobutu etc is killing you, Not our business as long as it doesnt affect our trade
