One of the failures which your father probably passed to you is the INABILITY NOT TO RESEARCH OR CHECK FOR FACTS. If you had checked for facts, you'll know that government just completed the Lafia-Akwanga-Makurdi Rd and is akready working on the Makurdi-Otukpo-Anyigba rd which has been dead since the time of Obasanjo and David Mark. Do your checks well, many project which were left dormant these past years are now under serious construction.

Is the East West Road a Misplaced priority? Or the Contract awarding it self is faulty? I talked about contract Variation previously and how contractors are using such to their advantages. Similar situation can be seen on how Berger keeps handling Abuja to Kano Highway. The Minister Observed and took the Job away from them.Trust me if it was another lay man as minister, he would have bent to Bergers new exorbitant Variation. Yes we are aware Variation is important since majority of Such companies took loans , but Nigerians have been milked with a delayed project all along.
Still on Such Contract , you can't expressly take away such awarded Jobs from thr contractors without consulting your Lawyers and ensuring your ministry isn't breaching the contract. If not they will be paid in full for doing nothing.

The foundation is not in personality but in system. I was in secondary school in the time of Jakande. I knew when Tinubu came in and Fashola and the rest. Fashola is part of Tinubu's reforms. For a leader to know the kind of successor to realize a philosophical vision that is a real leader.
That aside, continuity of governance in Lagos state is the real foundation. In my own state, where PDP a d APC and AD have changed batons, the ground covered by one party is discarded by the next. You can see the uniqueness of Lagos and the development.
Tinubu is still concerned about the systemic structure for robust economy based on the realities available.

I've seen things my man, some contract monies have already been divided amongst initiators and facilitators, little or no money is left to the contractor, some are just putting on a show; busy doing nothing

1) The government should first tidy up federal roads and make them drivable and safe. I've been to many parts of this country, and our federal roads are a deathtrap. Roads should be easily drivable, without senseless potholes.

2) Will this road be completed on time? I have a strong feeling that this road will eventually be a white elephant project that won't be completed in the next 10 years. Investing billions on a long stretch of road while the existing ones are an eyesore is ridiculous to me.

3) Why wasn't this project bid for? Why was it awarded without other construction companies submitting their bid? Sounds very tyrannical and impulsive. For a project this large, and this expensive, there should have been a fair bidding process.

4) Why are we spending so so so much on a road, when we have other more pressing issues? An estimated cost of more than 3tr is to be spent on this road. Why? Why not spend same money on kickstarting 24/7 electricity? Why not invest it in interstate security, so that kidnapping would be a thing of the past? Why not spread the money across other more important projects?

So many questions, so little answers. I have many reservations.

Sadly that's the country we find outselves, last administrators contractors eat the lawyer minister to the core. But all projects are timely and fully impacts to the citizens.

I used to run travel a lot by road a few years ago. Those roads are awful. Some parts of the so called federal roads are death traps. From Ilorin,to Ibadan, to Benin, to Bayelsa, to Minna. Awful roads, chief.

And many other roads ooo. But they won't do that. Instead, na coastal road Dem face. For trillions of naira. Ahhahn! What wickedness.
