If IOM is expensive, one can use The consultant practice in Ikoyi. There's is 175k while IOM is over 200k ($133 × 1555) depending on exchange rate.
Just advice for those who want to do Medicals in Lagos.

CalabarSamurai:
Update:
If you live outside the only two states in Nigeria i.e. FCT and Lagos States grin , try to make sure your Police Character Certificate capturing and IOM-NZD Xray and Medicals fall on the same day (if its in Abuja), to save transport costs. If you're done with the Xray and Medicals, the FCID in Abuja is a 10 minutes drive.
You are doing the General Medical Certificate (check IOM Website for the current exchange rate - $133), you can pay in person and do the test on the same day), and also the Police Character Certificate is valid for only 3 months.
All the best !

There are two options - pay the tuition fee (which by God's grace I have done) and then submit the study visa application or do the AIP Route (you submit the study visa application and if successful, the VO gives you a period of time to pay the tuition fees and forward the receipt given by the school to NZD Immigration).

AIP - Accepted In Principle
Do you mind sharing the required documentation for AIP?
Re: General New Zealand Student Enquires by CalabarSamurai(m): 2:06pm On Apr 20, 2025
In my opinion, AIP requires that you have all the money - living cost + Ticket money + Tuition fees present, then you do the usual documentation gathering for the study visa application, then submit the documents + bank statement showing all the total costs. If successful you’re given 5 days (or 10 days, or you may ask for an extension due to unforeseen circumstances) to pay your tuition fees and submit your tuition fee receipt either from the school or the third-party platform you used to pay - I’m not too sure which of the receipts you would need. From my research there may be a video interview.
But AIP is used mostly by the top five countries whose students apply to New Zealand.

Is the video interview for everyone or for those that want to seek the AIP route?
Re: General New Zealand Student Enquires by CalabarSamurai(m): 2:53pm On Apr 20, 2025
Most of the persons that did AIP had a video interview. In other cases, Video Interview had to do with documentation. In a particular AIP, the interview took 35 minutes and AIP was approved the next day.

Please can anyone highlight the requirements to start the process? I am just trying to start, but I don't have the step-by-step requirements. I would appreciate if anyone is kind enough to show list the requirements. And how to go about it, I already have finances. Thanks

Is it visa process or admission process?

If it is admission, which degree are you applying for?

One must give kudos to Immigration New Zealand, for the straight-forward explanation of their Visa process on their website. Kudos to the Indian youtubers too, at least the one that speak English. God grant us success in our Visa applications.

It has been mentioned earlier in the post. Use IDP or write to the school to assign you an agent.

Fun facts while we prepare our applications or await the feedback from INZ, culled from " Offshore student visa application decision data "
Number of applications from Nigeria in 2024 - 161 with 55 approved and 106 rejected.

Yeah. We are not even much. India, China, Nepal, Pakistan - those ones are hundred times our application numbers but with the same rate of acceptance and rejection.

Yes. I just saw the data. The number of approvals for Nigeria is not up to 150 student visa approval since 2022.

Omo!!!! That's wild. And they don't even give reasons for the rejection so others can learn. No shaking, them go give us visa.
