Cmos Batteries are old-school since laptops has internal batteries that can easily charge a capacitor to keep your bios settings.

What I don't understand is the Oldman trying to impress me with changing Cmos battery. I don't even know the last time I worked on a laptop that has one. Desktops yes. It's makes sense to have a Cmos battery to keep the clock correct. Laptops don't actually need this

Companies like Apple can still use clever transfer pricing mechanisms to evade tariffs. Apple USA can buy an iPhone from an Apple China subsidiary for a ridiculously cheap price of $10, pay $12.50 tariff and still sell iPhone at the current price. Apple China subsidiary will now become extremely loss making, but Apple USA will balance them by paying them extortionate amounts for Intellectual property, Software upgrades etc to put them back in the black.

It is those wholesalers who just buy products from China to resell in USA that will suffer.
