Finally decided to give low risk investment a try.
I'm considering opening an account with stanbic mmf and fbn quest.
I need someone experienced to point me to the first step. Maybe a link or something that cheesy

@Tickles001, to open an account with Stanbic, click the first link in my signature, scroll to money market fund, and click Buy now then complete the form.

You can call/chat with me using the phone number in my signature

Alright. Thanks
Though I've been on that site all morning, just wanted to make sure I'm on the right track before filling my information

You are in the right place. Go ahead and complete the form. Once done today, by tomorrow, you will get your e-account number

If you get the account details early enough, you can start investing immediately so that you have value for your deposit the same tomorrow and earn the interest, including the interest for the weekend, but if you get the details in the afternoon, you can wait to start investing on Monday
because deposits made on Friday afternoon and Monday morning have value and earn interest on Monday.

Good morning,
I'm having serious problems uploading my documents.
It keeps returning error message and won't upload my pictures.
Does this normally happen and do you know how I can get to upload my documents?

It may be due to your file size, reduce your documents file size.

i searched the SEC and saw piggyvest there as a fund manager, does it mean they’re into asset management/mutual funds ?

Reduce the size of the documents you are attaching, and make sure your network is good enough so that it will go seamlessly.

During registration for Stanbic MMF, you can pick tier 1 or tier 3 (Premium).

Tier 1 is limited such that you can't have more than 200k in that account, and you can't deposit more than 20k at a time. You need a minimal KYC to open this. Just your ID card.

Tier 3 or the premium, as some other fund managers use it, is unlimited, with no restrictions as per the balance and deposit amount. This account requires that you provide full KYC documents - passport photo, ID card, and proof of address.

It's always better to pick Tier 3 and provide all required KYC documents so that there be no restrictions placed on your account.

Tier 1 is usually for the very low-income bracket, students, etc. It's to encourage investment or financial inclusion.

Thanks for the clarity. Someone mentioned that her own account was premium and has an account manager. Was a bit confused cos when i signed up na only tier 1 and tier 3 i saw.

I am new to investing and based on the information on this thread, I registered with Stanbic MMF. They sent me Blunest login details. I went through the Blunest portal on Friday 11. I sent 5k to the wallet account on the Blunest portal to test things out. The money was debited from my First bank account but never reflected in the Blunest wallet account. I have sent a complaint on the app and even on Twitter. The Stanbic support on Twitter asked me to wait 24 hours. It is now more than 24 hours, yet the Blunest account was never credited. Please, can someone advise?

Give them 24 business/working hours. You made the transaction on a Friday. Be patient. This is still sunday. It should reflect before close of business on Monday.

@Bossgem, if you have read most of my posts on a similar case, you will understand that everything is in order. Just as advised by @Uberchic1, wait for the next business day, which is tomorrow, Monday. By the way it works, that payment you made on Friday afternoon is the same as if it were made on Monday morning. For most Fund managers, noon is the cut-off time, so any payment made after that time is regarded as the next business day payment. You will get value and interest from Monday.

Please let's note that MMF is not like cash in the bank, value is not instant. There is a need to get confirmation from the collection (custodian) bank.

Thank you for your reply. I made a transfer to the nuban wallet account on my Blunest portal. I have not purchased any MMF yet. From the knowledge section on the Blunest portal, it says to fund the wallet account first and then use the funds in the wallet to subscribe to MMF. My issue is that the money sent to this wallet, did not show up. I will wait like you suggested.

Going to the banking hall to open MMF account is not the best choice. They can take as long as they want. MMF is not first priority in the banking hall.

Banking and asset management are two different thing irrespective of the fact that both are in the same holding company.

Going to the banking hall doesn't have an advantage over those who decide to open account with the link.

The best is to deal with the asset management arm directly and that you can do by filling the online form.
When you use the online form, your account opens within 24hrs on a working day.

You know them, they don't like investors one bit because most times investors' action reduce their inflow and their target is at stake.

I’m trying to register Stanbic . It’s redirecting me to Blunest website. Is this bluenest a legitimate stanbic website. Should I input my Bvn and other information?

Anyone experienced this with FBN Quest before?

Redemption alert came from fund manager since afternoon but up till this night, funds are yet to drop into account.
Could something have gone wrong?

Good evening, everyone. I would like to inquire about the number of withdrawals permitted per month for Stanbic Mutual Funds. Many savings accounts limit withdrawals to three per month to maintain interest; I am curious if a similar restriction applies to Money Market Funds.
