Hopefully this is my last response on the LGBTQ subject. Because somehow it manages to become the distracting topic while people are quite literally fighting for their lives, freedoms and future.

But I’m glad you mentioned Thailand. Even though they’re openly accepting of their rainbow community, I’ve never heard of the women there feeling threatened or replaced. Canadian women are not feeling replaced.

If you want to know why Thailand and UK and in fact most countries that have lax rules around LGBTQ communities don’t have the same drama America has, you have to study the behavior of their right wing versus our right wing. Our right wing is a cesspool of propaganda if I ever saw one. I’ve had family members reach out to me to ask how we’re coping with rainbow people taking over the country. I’m like this 😳 looking at them. Taking over where? That’s how long right wing propaganda reaches.


People like me were rightfully concerned when the right wing recently started heavily pushing the narrative of how they are a danger to women and children. Concerned that it was just political smokescreen to win themselves votes while distracting the public with LGBTQ boogeymen. And Trump proved us right when he admitted on camera that he told his party to save the conversation and bring it up during election season.

There’s nothing happening in America except right wing people drumming up fears of women being replaced. 90% of them never even met a trans person in real life but they’re friends with rapists and child abusers in their everyday life who they protect from accountability. All the while trying to convince women they care about us.

They can win me over by voting for protected paid parental leave for women (and men) to bond with their babies after childbirth and not lose their jobs or pay.

They can win me over by voting for women’s rights to choose and women’s bodily autonomy.

They will certainly win me over when they stop supporting abusers.

Until then, the whole men in women’s bathrooms and sports remains the political ruse that it is. No one who follows Republican Party politics actually believes they care about women. Certainly not me. I’ll believe it when I see it.

I don’t know how someone who belongs in the demographic that commits 80% of violent crimes against women and children can convince anyone that they’re standing up for women. Not when they’re too afraid to even call out their homeboys on rapey behavior.
