He doesn't need to campaign, opposition are doing it for him already. Can you hear what the Governor is saying already?. People like you sit down on social media lying to yourselves. However, the Governors who are beneficiaries of the several projects the President is citing in their states know what the President is doing for them.

-Kiss the truth!
Well said.. governors from all parties have been praising the president for support to them

The truth is Akwa Ibom is PDP state, it will be extremely difficult for APC to take that state.
That being said, Umo Eno is not afraid of his second term chance of becoming a Governor. That has been settled between him and Akpabio, he has every good relationship with Akpabio.

Umo Eno is not a selfish politician, he is after what he can get for his people, he is not playing die hard politics.
For Umo Eno to come out publicly to say this, he must have reached agreement with Tinubu through Akpabio to support him in his second term and also make some demands for the state in return.

He can't say this for nothing.

The below might be some of the demands for the state.

1. Head quarters of South South Development commission to be in Akwa Ibom Sate. First Chairman to come from there.

2. Full approval for Ibom deep Sea Port and commencement of construction work, ( but Tinubu will play them in this one)

3. Akpabio to return as Senate president in his second term.

Governor Umo Eno is simply playing the mature politics that is obtainable in other regions.

During Governor Udom Emanuel's tenure, the governor fought steadily with APC bigwigs in the state, including the former MD of NDDC (Nsima Ekere), and Akpabio (Minister of Niger Delta), to a point where it affected NDDC projects in the state. Akwa Ibom had no federal presence and gained very little from the FG.

Umo Eno is a technocrat and not a typical Nigerian politician who's blinded by selfish ambition, he knows how to build bridges in order to ensure a win-win situation for the state and political interests of those involved.

If Umo Eno and Apkabio align and have a gentleman agreement, both can win gubernatorial and senatorial elections respectively.

If Tinubu wins the Presidential election in 2027, Akpabio will likely be retained as Senate President in 2027, which is a win for Akwa Ibom if you look at the bigger picture without selfish political interest.

If Umo decides to fight Akpabio and APC, chances are that both big wigs may win their seats in 2027 but such enmity will forge a tight contest that will drive a wedge between them (and their supporters). It'll all be against Akwa Ibom interest and may divide the people further along tribal and political lines.

I respect both men for seeing the need to play mature politics that will bring/drive political benefits to the state by and large. They work together, win their elections in 2027, attract more political appointments and projects from federal level to the state. A win-win!
You understand the game Umo Eno is playing, he is not a die hard and all these dirty politicians that are ready to bring down their kings men since he himself can't climb.

Seems you are from the state.
His own politics is that sometimes you need to score own goal on order to win for the entire state.

Our governors donot represent our interest, they only care about re-election. Time to grow up.

Akwa Ibom does not know how to flip-flop, that does not stop me from been a member of my Party. I am entitled to my own opinion.
