AustineE1:U know you audience right; those with dysfunctional no 6. Maintenance is done everywhere, but what happens if criminality is involved and aided by the locals. You steals railway tracks, your contractors does shaddy works. Fyi ...nigeria won't miss you guys. |

Hotfreezing:Oga, you still avoided the question. You started talking about railway, Oregon road, another airport entirely, and whatnots. Are airport tarmacs not supposed to be maintained every 10 years? For reference, it's been over 10 years since Stella Oduah left the position of Minister of Aviation, and this upgrade did not happen in her final moments. Tagging the OP in case you decide to respond this time. cc: AustineE1 |
| Re: Air Peace Suspends Operations At Enugu Airport by Hotfreezing: 7:34am On Apr 19, 2025 |
DesChyko:Tarmacs need to be repaved every 15-20 years depending on the frequency of traffic and type of aircraft. For an airport with very few traffic like Enugu airport, 20 years is within range. Unfortunately, the Igbo minister who did it did absolute nonsense there. When we pointed it out back then, her senseless kinsmen were insulting us. Now, they are opening the 4 compass points of their mouths to utter high-pitched tears. |

AK481:The SE produced 2 Aviation Ministers and the two idiots couldn't do anything for that airport. Na Igbo dey do Igbo. |

helinues:Please which other airports are being maintained? Nigeria is a poor countries all. Our airports operates at a financial losses including Lagos and Abuja A broke country can only maintain a certain number of airports You right from time. Don't understand basic economics It's like saying the house of a poor man is dirty because he is dirty 😏 |

crossfm:We should start holding our federal representative responsible for this whole shit, those idiots are suppose to tackle issues like this but they care more about their pockets. Remember that our own odua was responsible for the upgrade of airports sometime ago but she only did a yo man's job. |

Hotfreezing:Maintenance of runways does not begin and end with repaving, but let's shelve that for now. Are you aware that the most used runway at Murtala Muhammed Airport has been shut down for maintenance of varying ranges once every year for 4 years in a row now (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025)? Also, I'm not sure where you got your 15 - 20 years range from, but it was not from a realistic source. Repaving may be periodic, but no where near your range. But as shown in the example above, it is an ongoing activity. I'm sorry but you can't justify this negligence. You can only try; it will only fail before international standards. https://simpleflying.com/how-often-must-runways-be-repaved/ cc: AustineE1

Hotfreezing:Some of you are not fit for public discussions! You are just too daft...I didn't know that the bulk no longer lie on the table of the president but on the minister. You guys are best at changing goal post.A president awards federal roads in some areas eg to Julius Berger and in some other region, same FG awards same federal road to a local contractor whom supported him during elections and the intention is to pay back the contractor for his financial support.then tomorrow the road gives way,the fault is totally in the hands of the president,he is the number one accomplice. You can't settle your boys against public interest. |

AustineE1:I don't have time for akpu foolishness this morning. Direct your tears to GEJ, he was the President then. Yoruba man as Governor awarded a state road contract to Julius Berger. Igbo minister awarded Enugu airport contract to Ekuke and Sons construction. Few years down the line, Igbos dey cry dey blame Yoruba. No be juju be that? |

crossfm:No,no my brother. Nobody is marginalizing anybody. Two Aviation Ministers have been Igbos in the past ten years. They did nothing. So, don't blame Nigerian government. Maintenance culture is another key. We lack it. Now, there is alarm Bell, trust Festus Keyamo will swing into action. Do you know Ado Ekiti airport is also suffering from maintenance culture? The runways is a death trap. Ask Allen Onyema. So, it's not peculiar to Enugu. Let's be circumspect in our comments regarding South East as a region so that other Nigerians don't see the region and her peoples as regular complainants. |

crossfm:Victimhood slave mentality, always looking for others to blame for your sorry, miserable life existence. If Obi becomes President today for the next 8 years, you will still blame Fulanis and Yorubas for why he will perform terribly. Even when your blodss are arrested for drug dealing in Asia, they still blame others instead of taking personal responsibility. Very pathetic, shallow, illogical creatures. |

| Re: Air Peace Suspends Operations At Enugu Airport by iguita: 8:52am On Apr 19, 2025 |
Airpeace doesn't own the airport. They are only an operator there. They pay their fees and maybe they should be the one calling out government/ owners of the airport for jeopardising their operations. Let's lay the blame where the blame should be. By the way, Air Peace is going to loose money by canceling flights to the airport. thecommunist: |
