Hmmm..... E nor too far again o oloun.

Can we have awa Forties folks confirm these lol.

But like the guy stated above, many of these things are subject to the lifestyle of your twenties.... and to a small degree, your genes.
It's very true. An so many more experiences he dint mention..

Ur bones n joints will be weaker.

U will have more ability to tolerate nonsense from younger people and oda old people. Without reacting violently.

U will get a particular partern of doing things..eg. A particular time and place u relax. A particular road u like to follow. Even a particular design for cloths. Etc.

U will like to rest more... Get more time to sleep and relax.. eat good food. N get good intimacy from anyone who can offer.

Once u find your self doing this. Ur getting old. Sorry.

Stupid write up, una go just copy everything relating to oyinbo life and paste it to match African own.

Am 40 tho married with plenty children but still very fit and can easily pass for 30s. I have friends in my category too that are even more fit and look younger than me.

Btw my friend's dad celebrated 79 today in church, everyone was amazed cos he looks like 60 year old man.
That's not the norm for most 40. Consider yourself lucky..

This one is for 40 and broke, right?
Because if your bank account is fresh and your fingers aren't slow with your bank app, you'll have mint and fresh girls in their early 20s flocking around you and proudly flaunting you in the neighborhood.
You literally agreed with him. A young lady that flaunts you because of your financial status literally is attracted to your status not you.

In your younger days, you don't need a fat account to be attracted to young ladies. Your charisma, appearance, intelligence and carriage will do that for you. A young lady

Nothing will stop any of these from happening because not a cautious lifestyle.. they are sure things.. bad or streefull lifestyle tell in old age mainly on health... Most of the things I listed are not health related...
.grey hair must come from 37up...

If u are not obviously hairy, bald hair will begin to show up from 37 also.... Whether u live caution life of twenties or not... BP concern will b there , high blood or low blood pressure concern will b there.. they are just stuffs which 40+ look out for...

U see, ur lifestyle doesn't stop u from being more Xtra tired from same amount of work out in btw u and a young guy of say 26-28... U will notice that ur body takes longer time to fully gain 100% strength after stressing it
Not entirely true, I still get attraction from 22 to 25 though I don't like 25 below naturally because of their drama.
I can't sleep no matter how hard I try, and I wake up first light of the day.
Overall people still thinks I am in my early thirties, I remember a guy jokingly telling me he was suppose to sit at the back of a cab I boarded as he was my senior, I only laugh it off because I know there is no way he can.

I am way above the age the guy used out there as a benchmark but guess what?

a, I still gym. I have a mini gym at home and i do compete with the supposed younger persons on virtually all programs
b. I still play football and should actually be leaving for the pitch at 3.30pm this evening (I am an All-Stars member). I am featuring in a match.

There are so many other things that don't work the way he outlined them, but yes age must have its effects. I am no longer the tiger I used to be in za oza room but then, I think more about investments now than prowess under the duvet. We give financial orgasm now.

Getting Old
I will say it has a lot to do with your Genes, Genes, Genes
Another factor is your family history.(diseases)...
Omo that's why marriage is beyond the outward appearances...Do you know the diseases that's in the lineage of your spouse....
I believe that doesn't matter anymore wink

Another factor is Stress, Stress, Stress in all its forms..

Dpsychologist:
While aging is real, many of the claims made are either exaggerated, unscientific, or personal biases disguised as general facts. Let’s dissect every point:

People's Approach to You

1. “You’ll be greeted with ‘sir’ a lot”
This is about culture and respect, not age. In many Nigerian settings, even a 28-year-old in a suit is called “sir.” It’s not exclusive to 40.

2. “Older women will be attracted to you”
Attraction is subjective. A 40-year-old man might appeal to some women (older or younger) based on confidence, resources, and maturity, not just age.

3. “People will assume you’re married”
That assumption can start even at 30. It says nothing about reality — people assume a lot of things; it doesn’t change your worth or value.

4. “Strangers will assume kids near you are yours”
Again, assumption. That doesn’t mean much. Also, people assume women with kids are married too — it’s just how the human brain fills blanks.

5. “You’ll be gossiped about if single”
People gossip about anything — married or not, rich or poor. Gossip is a function of joblessness, not your age.

6–8. “You can’t date younger women anymore”
That’s a lie. Age gap relationships are everywhere. The issue is not age, it’s your approach, personality, and self-respect. Plenty women prefer older men for stability, maturity, and life experience.

Physical Changes

9. “Grey hair starts at 35”
Some get it at 25. Some don’t see it till 60. It’s genetic — not a universal age timeline.

10. “Face will drop, lines will deepen”
Again, lifestyle and genetics. Smokers and heavy drinkers age faster. Someone who exercises, hydrates, and uses sunscreen at 40 will look fresher than some 30-year-olds.

11. “Your mind mostly focus on money, not women”
This is just growth and priority shift — not age punishment. Many men at 25 already prioritize career and legacy over casual flings.

12. “You can’t jump gutters anymore”
You’re not supposed to jump gutters at 40 — you build bridges. But if you stay fit, you can jump whatever you like.

13. “Speed reduces”
Not true for everyone. Endurance athletes at 40–50 still break records. It’s about activity levels, not age.

14. “You won’t tire fast, but recovery takes longer”
This has some truth — recovery slows with age, but it’s manageable with rest, hydration, and healthy habits.

15. “You’ll begin to wake late”
False. Older people usually wake earlier. It’s youths that sleep till noon. Sleep patterns are personal and can be trained.

16. “You’ll now sleep in buses”
Fatigue is from poor sleep habits, not your age. Even 22-year-olds sleep in danfos if they partied all night.

17. “You’ll go bald and start barbing skin”
Balding is mostly genetic. Some people go bald at 25, others have full hair at 60. Skin cuts are a style choice, not age rule.

Health Changes

18. “Family health history will show”
Yes, but it doesn’t just appear at 40. Lifestyle + genes = result. Early checkups can help you avoid surprises.

19. “You’ll face BP, sugar, and breathing issues”
That only happens if you live carelessly. There are 70-year-olds without high BP because they eat well, rest, and exercise.

20. “Bedroom performance reduces”
Performance drops when you’re stressed, unhealthy, or have poor self-care. Fit men in their 40s–60s perform excellently. Viagra no be age ID card.

Aging is natural — but decline is optional.

Nice thread by the way.
Apt.

Stay there and b joking " not entirely true" read them well again.. I purposely excluded self made struggles...

Can u stop grey hair cus of your lifestyle..? Or stop family trend bad eyesight cuz if your lifestyle..?

Read the health part.. I used the phrases " will become your concern" that shows it is a concern, but may not really affect u.. but u see the rest, it's a sure thing!
Oga we can't all age at the same time... Our first born will be 40 this August, yet there's no strand of grey hair. His eyesight is very good, he can jump gutters, very energetic and can drive interstate for hours.

The only thing about his aging is that he doesn't used to waking up early. Maybe that's because he goes to bed very late (10-11pm)

it's his health -even though grey hair is an 'aging' effect ,a lack of certain nutrients can accelerate the aging process.

ask google -
'Early gray hair, also known as premature graying, refers to the onset of gray hair at an earlier age than typically expected. While genetics play a significant role, factors like stress, nutrition deficiencies, certain health conditions, and environmental factors can also contribute. '

as guys approach their 40s --please do you glucose test, and diabetes type 2 has nothing to do with family history it is about the food we eat, all those carbs.

I laugh at this post...I'm 49+ but if you see me you will definitely argue with me that I'm not 35 yet grin grin grin
I don't have a single grey hair, I'm fit as a fiddle, only issue that's correct about your post is my use of glasses to read(I use the computer a lot) my dad n mom wears glasses to read, but none of my younger ones does.
What you listed in that post does not apply to everyone above 40 bro.
