Good day house, please i don't know exactly what is wrong with my car, Honda accord, the car just won't go past 3k rpm, we've changed the VTC solenoid, we've tested the VVT solenoid too, and it moves fine, we changed the Oil pump, we've done everything, yet that rocker arm stuck code is still on, and the car still won't go past 3k rpm, once it reaches there, it jerks very hard, gear selects fine, car moves fine, but doesn't go past that 3k rpm.

I'm tired, any one can recommend a very qualified mechanic/workshop in Lagos who can sort this out?

Omo. Its either your injector mouth has malfunctioned or a fuse relating to injector mouth/knock sensor ,has malfunctioned or the brain box has sparked and burnt ..your car is on linp mode. Limp mode comes from a malfunction in gear performance or engine performance. Auch as shorting oil,hesiststion gbim loud force,gear oil contamination, shortage,leak,or generally your ecu is bad. Try to get another ecu and test,if after test same result. Alaye,your engine don sapa be that. Forget obd scanner. Obd scanner codes are limited and reappear afyer a few mileage.... in my own case in 2021,my evil spirit engine oil dried out completely and i was not aware ,as i was high most times. The gear rpm ddnt exceed 2900rpm till i changed the knock sensors,we did every,brought gear down,serviced changed fibre,clutch,etc still problem wasn't solved. Till knock sensors were the culprit i sold it after a month.of cos i fixed the erros and changed the sensors but i didnt want honda any longer. Honda fumbled..

I had this same issue with my Accord V6 J30A5 engine. I solved mine by unplugging, cleaning, and plugging back the TPS sensor. Mine was under the wiper towards the left of the engine bay when you stand facing it.

I don’t seem to understand ur post. Because u want to market mobile 1 u condem oda know product.

check and clean the MAP sensor around the throttle body.
Remove the battery terminal for 5mins and reinsert then try again if it gets better.

Another cause of the issue can be a faulty throttle body or raising sensor.
The raising sensor is behind the engine, on the left side.

The raising sensor I'm guessing is the same as the VTC solenoid. I have gone as far as changing it, problem persisted, my former mechanic removed that of another accord there and tested it on mine, same problem, so the VTC solenoid is not the problem, the MAP sensor too works fine when I tested it. I shared a screenshot of the codes I got from an obd 2 scanner above, but I'm hoping to go for a comprehensive scan soon.

Yeah, that has been changed, yet problem persists, about battery removal, I even recently gave my neighbor my battery when his went flat, so if that was the solution, it would have stopped by the time the battery was brought back. Thanks sir.

My Toyota Camry 08 is making some noise on cold start but the noise vanishes after the engine gets hot.
Two mechanics I've contacted both said is the timing chain.
But one said it needs adjustment while the other said it needs replacement.
Kindly advice what to do.

Where is your location?
I know the map sensor also causes this issue too. check the socket of the map sensor to be sure its fixed properly.

Thank you very much, I hope it's really the TPS sensor, but I'll get both the TPS sensor and Knock sensor changed before I go into ECU.

My location is Ajah, Lagos. The socket should be working fine, cos when I turned on the car and removed the socket, the sound changed and the car went off, signaling it still works.

There's a difference between the MAF and the MAP sensor.
The MAP sensor is on the ejector mouth (Throttle body)

Just to add, did you work on the engine, was the timing set properly?
All of these can cause this issue.

However, the rockerarm is still showing as a current error code which is the raising sensor.

Evening all. Pls anytime I top up my fuel in filling station my car will be doing hard start, until I match throttle like 6 times while starting it before it will pick,. And secondly in the morning if I start the car it will start and work for like 20 seconds and stops until I start it again and match match throttle to support it... Na Honda EOD

I have scanned it, I'll attach a screenshot of 2 scans I did. The first one is the one I did before all the repairs, the second one is the most recent one after some repairs. Right now, the car takes about a second before it accelerates when you step on the accelerator. I've just parked it until I am sure of a solution.

Does anybody know where I can get sound-deadening paint/coat for my car? The sound-deadening coat on my car has almost completely peeled off due to age. I need to respray the wheel-wells and under the car with it to reduce road noise.

was the fuel pump damaged before you changed it?

If not damaged, you can try use it again to verify the genuity of your new pump

I have a Peugeot 206 (manual transmission). Normally it start and idle at 1000rpm. But recently it starts ad idle at 2000rpm (significantly higher than normal idle rpm). Sometimes it starts at normal rpm. What may be the cause of this irregularity?

You’re most likely dealing with evap issues, probably purge valve failing, when you say top up do you mean like full tank ? Your best bet rn is scanning the vehicle

While mine would always not start smooth when fuel goes down below 50km and continue it's smooth start once I top up fuel.

Did you find help already? You can check if your purge canister Evap valve is faulty.

i start acura mdx 2011 and the accerleration point is raised above 1, the car making louder noise than usual and I cant accelerate, i have to put off the car ad start it again and it starts working normal but this happpens every other day and not pleasant. i scanned the car and they said I should change the throttle body and rocker arm but the price I'm seeing is ridiculous.

please who knows any dealer in ladipo to get the best prices for quality? they are still other parts to buy like steering rack and pump, lower arm and shocks.
