Muslim too does not studies Christianity, they only pick some verses in the bible to make argument, recent i have been watching youtube channel to see how core Muslim in the middle east and Christian interact

it’s not that we don’t actually it is because the Quran contains comprehensive detail of the actual true events in the Bible. Now, if I am to choose to study Bible, I will be confused on which to go for considering you have multiple versions and each christian denominations are having their own.

@Seun Your post suggests one religion is superior to another. You have not shown good judgement despite removing the oath taking on the Islam section. Since you wanted to be fair, why didn't Islam have the etc attached to it instead? Why was it attached to Christianity? This is just an obvious bias and just the same as what you did with the oath taking on Islam section

I'm a Muslim and I support the removal of the oath-taking before commenting on Islam posts, as that would allow non-Muslims to freely read and learn more about Islam

Dear Nairalanders,

By popular demand, we have ended the swearing of oaths before commenting on the Islam section. However, the requirement to engage muslims with decency and respect remains.

We have promoted the Islam section to the top level because it's a very important religion.

We have renamed the Religion board as the Christianity Etc board, recognizing the fact that most non-muslims are Christians.

Please enjoy! And feel free to share your feedback about these changes.

Someone asked me, sometimes ago when she wanted to preach to me on the street, are you a Christian? I said no, a Muslim? I said no, traditionalist? I said no, pegan? I said no.

She then said, who are you? I said, I'm a child of God. And I asked her in return, who are you?
She couldn't answer me.

Then I said, Christianity is a religion and that's why it is added to list of religions.

the bible described those who believed in God as sons of God not Christians.

John 1:2, which states that "as many as received Him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believed on His name."

We already have power to become the sons of God.

This signifies a spiritual transformation and a relationship with God as a child.

A religious man, Christian kills, steal and practices evil yet still go to church to sing and worship but deeply inside, he knows he's not worthy but just pretenses but a child of God can never do such.

Religion cannot take anyone to heaven, God's place, only sons can have access to him.

Religion has damaged alot of things all over the world.

God cannot be mixed in the listed in the mix of Hindu, Baha'i, Buddhism, Christianity, Confucianism, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism, Judaism, Shinto, Sikhism, Taoism, and Zoroastrianism.

All these are religions.

Let everyone know God directly rather than following religious that takes us no where.

1. Having to swear an oath before commenting was one of the most stupid and bigoted decisions ever. Common sense has eventually prevailed.
2. You really need help with your mindset. 50% ko, 50% ni. Give the two religions their separate links. Give atheists theirs ans traditional religions theirs.
3. Ban any idiot who disrespects any religion. That should have been the MO from day one instead of this senseless oath swearing and stuff. It was a moronic idea and very insulting at conception.
4. It will take a lot of fiddling to get this site to where it used to be. It has truly lost its shine. Visits are dwindling. Engagements are dwindling. Topics are bland and utter trips for lack of better words.

Sura 9:29 of the quran summarises your religion.
For the sake of clarity, SURA 9:29 of the quran says:

"FIGHT those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth , (even if they are) of the PEOPLE OF THE BOOK, until they pay the JIZYAH with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued"

CHRISTIANS and JEWS were the "people of the book" in the days of Muhammad. In other words, the quran declared war on Christians and JEWS for not accepting Islam (this is in furtherance of an earlier SURA 5:51 which warned Muslims to not take any Christian or Jew as friends). The only way the quran permitted the Muslims to spare any Christian or Jew among them was if the Christian or Jew agreed to pay JIZYAH (Tax)...

I have a lot more Suras and Hadiths to expose, but let me stop here today.

So tell me, is this what you're proud about?

how did Nairaland come up with the percentage of Muslims and Non -muslims then who are christians , you have set a dangerous precendent and fallen into the trap of what causes issues in Nigeria . You should have just created the two sections without any stats and too much explanation .

Nice one! .Thanks for removing the unnecessary oath. 'Christianity etc' section can be corrected. Islam can't stand alone and etc will be attached to Christainity.It is unfair. Christianity section should be alone. You can create traditional practice, atheisim, etc sections.

It should have to be three categories

MUSLIMS

OTHER RELIGIONS
