I have another question. When you said "start the recognition process for the city you wanna go to online", how do I go about this? I am new to this application, I have not yet completed my application because of the block account, although I am almost rounding off the figure.

Can you tell me how to go about choosing the city?

I really appreciate your efforts and swift responses.

@Hannania, well done and many thanks for support all the while. I have gone through the entire thread alongside the questions and responses. Here's my case, I have a Bachelors degree in Accounting but I moved along the Consulting and Learning & Development career path due to passion with over 8 years of relevant work experience on my current career path. Irrespective, I'm still very much conversant with the accounting and finance field due to interest and transferable skills. If I have to pursue this opportunity, which of the fields would you suggest I consider considering the perks and multiplicity of opportunities in both fields. In addition, I recently worked with a German INGO in Nigeria with all documentation to my work history and contracts. Would this give me a better chance with the German embassy? Thanks for your response.

Please I've been having this dilemma also about how easy it would be finding a suitable job within the stipulated one year without being proficient in German.
I work in the food manufacturing industry where I have experience in quality control, R& and product development. I studied Food Science and Technology.

What do you think? Considering the investment, is it worth a shot? I don't want to be booted out after 1year for failure to secure a job after everything.

Of course I'll try my best to learn the language if I get there but it may take a while to be proficient.

Has anyone else been able to get attestation done online from the NPC site, I clicked on the privacy agreement but I wasn't able to agree to the terms because the column is not working which is a crucial step to move forward. I have also tried other browsers, still the same.

Will appreciate any help as to how to go by it

@Hannania please what do you suggest I put in place of the blocked account column in the application as my funds are not comlete yet. And I want to stand in line since you said it might be more than 6months waiting time to get reviewed soon.
And pls advice on the max time I have to upload the blocked account; is it the 6months waiting to be reviewed or less?

secondly.... i asked a friend in china to apply and he said he cant see any videx form. after the registration he was told to go to their embassy. so i want to know is the videx form only for nigerians?

2. My friend point is 4 and does not meet the requirement, but when he tried registering form it gave him 6+. So I'm confused. It's either m not getting it right. Pls enlighten me.

Hi @Hannania my brother wants to help me with a declaration of commitment , but the earliest date he could get appointment in his city is first week of June, the only thing left for me to upload is just that, would it make sense to upload something in that slot since it would still take 3 to 6 months to get to my turn and join the queue. Then update it when he sends it. If yes, what could I upload there ? Also would I be able to update it once I’m on the queue ?

Where you answered the questions happens to be the score counter .

The score counter is very important. Make sure you answer it correctly. That's because your response will determine the type of documents that will appear in your document upload section. So cross check and make sure you're doing the right thing

2. It directed me to application assistant...... I think that's where I'm stocked.

That website has nothing to do with the German government. It's a private company. Search for the new digital portal

Since you have B.Eng, you can still get the opportunity card without doing the recognition from Nigeria. As long as your university is rated H+ on Anabin.

As I said, the electrical field is a regulated profession in Germany, and each state have their way of doing it. So using the link below, you can search your city then follow the steps. The idea is to beat time by started it now so you'll just finish up when you enter Germany in order to start working asap when you land a full time role.

Your residence permit will be tied to your city where you're going. So just choose any major city you wanna reside in like Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, Cologne, Frankfurt, Ausburg etc. then follow the process.

Please go and apply to join the waiting list. The queue is getting long. For the field of block account, you can input your something there before you get it fully since it will take at least 3 to 6 months before it's your time

You don't book an appointment yet without. Getting reviewed. Upload all documents and the one you don't have , you can upload something there before they ask you to send for preliminary review.

You don't need to block anything now. Do so when they ask you to send your application. Coracle or Expatrio is best for block account
