Hi guys , My brother France visa was denied along side his wife” there’s reasonable doubt that you will not leave France blah blah. He has been to the uk and France before. Never over stayed. But this time he applied to go to France with his wife who has also been to the uk before. All documents were good. He was denied 3 weeks ago. Now he wants to reapply, is it safe to apply to same France or he should other Schengen countries , if yes, can you suggest ? Maybe Spain, Belgium or Italy ! Thank you |

He should apply to France again, applying to other countries will appear as visa shopping. Desmondola2020: |

The visa will likely be rejected again Ozeggy:What they can do is to resolve the issue of the denial with a remorseful appeal sent to nantes, france await the outcome of the appeal before reapplying to france. Or wait for some time , gather more documents and reapply. |

Does a 10 days trip to Belarus count as travel experience when applying for France tourist visa? The passport holder was given 20 days duration of stay on their passport but only spent 10 days. Will that contribute to their application in any way. |

firebreather:Not likely. Belarus is not a first world or Schengen member country. Doesn't add much value. |

Desmondola2020:He should reapply to France. Or he can risk applying to Italy. Either way, he needs to prove that he is not a flight risk. |

I'm speaking from experience. He can get the visa from France, just apply alone after few months and demonstrate socio-economic ties. hunee: |

Please I want to apply for France Visit Visa. I don’t have any info tho I have been following up with the day 2 day conversation on here and I have few questions to ask… I AM A FIRST TIMER. Please these are my questions:: 1. What is the best time to book for vacation or conference? 2. Which one is more better to give higher visa approval between Vacation or conference? I don’t have anyone in France that can send me invite. 3. Which one give me upper hand between paid conference or free conference? 4. Can I just pick any conference off on google or are there any conferences that can give me upper hand I don’t mind paying. What are the other information that I need also I plan to visit Germany from France is it possible? Thank you very much family… |

I'll wait for others to answer about the best option but if you're looking for conferences, visit 10times dot com. There you can filter by country and the field/industry of the conference. Dorker: |

I believe so. I think the visa was denied because he applied with his partner and they were thinking he might not come back but a bit weird tho. This is someone that has been to the uk and France before. Bank statement had over 100m too. I will just advice to reapply and attach more document showing ties to Nigeria but this time he should apply alone. If he gets it, he can apply with wife the next one. Ozeggy: |

Chelseaboy101:This same thing happened to me late last year when I applied to France. The reservation cancelled after some few days, I was initially worried, but the guys here put my mind to rest. I wasnt contacted by the French authorities though, but I did the rebooking again, which still cancelled itself again after 2 days. I got tired & just left the matter. I was relieved that it didn't affect the application as the visa was approved. Interestingly, when I actually travelled in Feb, the reservation I did got cancelled again! I was already in Doha for some days before heading to Paris and was facing getting stranded without where to stay. I had to go directly to the actual hotel website to make a reservation the night of my flight, which was even cheaper than the initial one I did with booking.com that got cancelled. Something seems to be wrong with booking.com and Access Bank card. Even the bookings I did recently to renew some other visa, still got cancelled after some days. I've complained to booking.com and all they say is to rebook. Did you by chance also used Access Bank card? |

Hello house, Please I applied for a visit VISA for June 15th, after filling the form and submitting, when to book appointment, and the earliest date I saw was June 17th. Please what do I do now, as I have submitted application but not booked appointment. Can I modify my application date? |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by sanyaolurilwan(m): 11:44am On Apr 25, 2025 |
Fill another form, choose a date ahead of June 17th, atleast 3 weeks ahead. After filling the form and submitting, proceed to tlscontact website to fill another appointment form, but you won't be able to submit, then call the customer care number, they'll help you do the submission with the new reference number. maziemeka2024: |

sanyaolurilwan:Thanks. I was thinking of looking for another country in the schengen region that has less traffic. Then I could enter france from there. But I will have to reschedule for July now. |

I once read here that the only acceptable document to show proof of owning a landed property is C of O. How true is this? Also, if let's say this applicant has inheritance from their late father with their siblings e.g. the applicant was willed a flat in multiple flat building and the sibling too got other flats. How best can this be presented to showcase "Strong ties to the applicant's home country" |

Greetings all, Applied for France Shenghen tourist visa and was not approved. No travel history. Applied with CAC Bank statement showing over 7. Reason for refusal. "There are reasonable doubts as to your intention to leave the territory of the Member states before the visa expires " What could be the likely issue? Nd next line of action. Thanks. |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Cashmadam: 5:23pm On Apr 27, 2025 |
AdeGbuyi20:Sorry about the refusal. With schengen, they are not fixated on your account balance. They are more interested in you proving that you will leave the schengen area after your visit. Travel history is also very useful - although not compulsory. Perharps you want to reapply and highlight your ties to Nigeria. Good luck! |

Thank you for your response, however, I need some clarification if you will be kind. Can I really without the appeal to Nantes? How do I establish this ties? Not married. Can travelling to any west Africa country help? Say Ghana? Thank you once more. Cashmadam: |

Like that person said, it's not really about the money. In fact, sometimes when you have excessively large money in the account you used to apply it will look suspicious like you're planning to abscond to their country hence the huge money (they'll think you want to use that to settle in their country). To demonstrate strong ties to Nigeria, you can include leave letter (and No Objection Certificate) from your work assuming you're employed but if you own your own business it's a different case. You could also add that you're caring for an elderly parent if you're single otherwise include your marriage certificate. Another way is to submit proof of ownership of properties or other tangible assets that can really prove that you will return to Nigeria. I've also seen people including that they're about to get married with a wedding photoshoot and IV or their sister is about to get married. In essence, take your time to start a convincing cover letter, emphasizing that you'll return to Nigeria after your trip. You can also share your cover letter here when done so people can help you review. Also, Ghana won't really count towards your "travel history" as they're just considered our neighbours so maybe you shouldn't waste money going there 🫠 AdeGbuyi20: |

I always tell people to fix their applications first with appeals first before reapplying for France visas(in cases where they get rejected) AdeGbuyi20:It is a technical approach towards a reapplication OR betterstill, send an appeal to their mail acknowledging your errors and informing them of your intentions to reapply in future when circumstances change. There are usually different approach to this visa thing depends on your strategy. On your reapplication, ensure to attach that email copy of the appeal you sent, a recommendation letter from the police station , YES , a recommendation from a police station may shock everyone, but it is good approach too and an affidavit of return drafted by your lawyer(more like a recommendation letter) If you follow this carefully, you should score a goal this time. This is the clarity you need (Proof of sufficient ties and recommendations) |

This recommendation letter/affidavit of return, how do you go about it? hunee: |
