While I see some use cases for this feature, I do think its use should be limited. And should absolutely not be available for any posting with political undertone. Else, all postings on this forum would be nothing but a mere regurgitative echo chambers of like minds. Case in point: One of those people that post national economic data on here with the sole intention to manipulate and mislead others here blocked me from presenting the same data in its full context, or the very least provide an alternative explanation for the said data.

It's a useless feature because users don't communicate like Facebook or Twitter where they post directly on your thread.

Nairaland is a forum were people post randomly. Blocking someone is useless because you'll still come across their posts on random threads.

It is clearly written up there, when you block the person, all his posts will be invisible to you and vice versa.

So, let me get this clear. If someone blocked me and I couldn't see his post for the period of time, then what happens if the person created a thread, will I be able to see such thread?. And if the thread is pushed on FP, will I be able to see it on FP?. If someone blocked me and I am automatically blocked from seeing his or her thread on FP if it happened their threads made it to the FP, me and you will have problem, seun. I don't give a fvck about the block button but EVERY post on FP, I MUST be able to view it, whether blocked or not.
Know what you're doing brother, I am not bothered about crybabies, don't do anything that will affect the quality of this platform because of the need to please some crybabies.
