The Bishop that Ahiara rejected (fellow Igbo Catholic, but his ‘sin’ was that he was from another community in another State), has gone on to become a Cardinal, and now, a member of the Papal Conclave.

To the glory of that he rose to the conclave. The last time I checked , this is Christianity and not the politics of this world where the winner takes it all and witch-hunt sets in.

Stop misleading the people, okpaleke was appointed because mbaise priest were writing petition against one another. It was a case of if not me no one else. The pope decided to give them priest from another place and they started crying foul. Okpaleke resigned because according to canon law if a bishop resides out his diocese for five years, he should resign. The current Nnewi diocese has a bishop from awka outside the diocese. The priest and the lay faithful accepted him with joy. If you think that cardinal arinze have the power to appoint a bishop then you don't know the Catholic Church . BTW is not a must for the pope to accept names submitted by the bishop
