For those who care to know, while the bible has history in it, its not meant for history.

There are those like the OP who search the scripture with wrong objective like looking for contradictions.

The bible is about Jesus and the eternal live that he provides. Fallible men wrote the bible and as such their inadequacies will be seen. But the truth of the scriptures stand out for those who are interested in the truth.

If you are reading as a story book or for contradictions, you waste your valuable time. You can use that time for something more useful.

No amounts of insults will change the truth.

John 5:39-40
King James Version
39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

You'd need to know that none of the gospels were actually written by the apostles they were named after. And the earliest of them was written 70 years after the death of Jesus. It is hard remembering in detail incidents that happened decades ago. Even more so when the author didn't witness it but is writing based on narratives that were passed down.

The Bible is filled with such contradictions.
If I ask U to produce evidence for your bogus claim now, wahala go start.
U will begin to write long essay devoid of any evidence.
Na the issue I'm facing with one of U here called Lucyfre.

That supposition(in bold) is likely invalid given that Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 AD, less than 40 years after the death of Jesus Christ—31-33AD—, and the people either killed or exiled from the country around that same time. Scholars instead state that the time of the writing and the actual writers are unknown to them. undecided

2. Most collections of books written by human authors in human languages are bound to contain contradictory ideas. This is almost a given since not all humans think alike or the same. undecided

Was it same Judas that threw the 💰 on the ground and went to hang himself picked the money again to buy the land?
The authorities bought the field with Judas' money. It was blood money and couldn't put the money in the treasury.
They used the money to buy the land where Judas hanged himself.

Death by suicide hanging is abominable in Jewish custom, it was going to be difficult to sell the land to someone.
The practical thing was to buy it and use it as a graveyard for strangers and foreigners.

Which verse of Matthew or Acts mentions the authorities?

Mathew 27.
5 So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.

6 The chief priests picked up the coins and said, “It is against the law to put this into the treasury, since it is blood money.” 7 So they decided to use the money to buy the potter’s field as a burial place for foreigners. 8 That is why it has been called the Field of Blood to this day.

I'm referring to ancient Jewish custom not modern ones.

From the verses you quoted, Judas already went to hang himself before the chief priests went to buy the field!

Something is still not adding up!

You claimed as written in Matthew that the chief priests bought the field with the money Judas threw on the ground!

In Acts of Luke which I quoted the field was bought by Judas himself not by proxy and he died therein.

(With the payment he received for his wickedness, Judas bought a field; there he fell headlong, his body burst open and all his intestines spilled out. Acts 1:18

Matthew was one of the twelve following Jesus up and down but Luke gathered his informations from other believers:

I resolved also, because I have traced all things from the start with accuracy, to write them to you in logical order, most excellent The·ophʹi·lus. Luke 1:3

The first account, O The·ophʹi·lus, I composed about all the things Jesus started to do and to teach. Act 1:1

So Luke's account was a third party account unlike Matthew, Mark and John who lived and worked together with Jesus in the ministry that's why his own records differ from that of Matthew! smiley

Who cares?
What really matters is Judas Iscariot who betrayed his friend died in the course and the money he got from betraying an innocent man was used to buy his burial place.

Of course people should care about lies. A book called scriptures shouldn't be this lacking in integrity!

Lacking in integrity should be the one your people called strong and weak due to outright lies found in it not reports that's compiled from different people!

In your Hadiths there are questionable records that even a kid will laugh at for instance Muhammad commanding the sun and moon to enter his pockets but that won't disturb your conscience rather it's the reports of two followers of the same man one who really was with him and the other who gathered reports that is lacking in integrity to you! smiley

Baba don change tone to Islamic texts! You never explain how Luke lied finish since Matthew is correct!

And it is also a lie that the Prophet commanded the sun and moon to enter his pocket! I wonder were you dey see all this Luke-like lies!

So since Luke lied in this case, there should be many more lies in that book!

Same Book Paul claimed is God-breathed o in 2 Timothy 3:16.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness!

God-breathed contradictions and lies!

Matthew 27:5: Judas throws the silver into the temple and hangs himself.

Acts 1:18: Judas buys a field and falls headlong, his body bursting open.

These 2 are referring to how Judas Iscriout ended.

But what is responsible for the differences? Which one is correct? Are both correct? How can you defend this as a Christian?
well someone investigated and probably found out that Judas didn't buy the field but those whom he returned the money to, who may have bought it in his name and claimed he bought it and died on it.
