But he didn't have the conscience or vision to build a single school nursery, primary or secondary or tertiary schools as governor of Anambra state for 8 years that he was governor. Such a person can only be presidential candidate of shallow minded people
It is important to approach leadership evaluation with depth and fairness rather than surface-level conclusions. The claim that Peter Obi "did not build a single school" during his 8 years as governor of Anambra State oversimplifies and misrepresents his legacy.

Good governance is not measured solely by the number of new buildings constructed but by the overall improvement in systems, standards, and outcomes. Under Peter Obi’s administration, Anambra State moved from near-bottom to top positions in national education rankings. His government prioritized rehabilitating and equipping existing schools, returning mission schools to their original owners (churches), and partnering with them for better management. This policy led to dramatic improvements in student performance, discipline, and moral standards — a more sustainable approach than merely constructing new structures without systemic change.

Moreover, Peter Obi's strategy was rooted in efficiency, accountability, and value-driven investment, ensuring that every kobo spent had visible results. Instead of erecting abandoned or substandard projects to score political points, he focused on strengthening existing institutions, paying off huge state debts, and saving billions for future generations — an incredibly rare achievement among Nigerian politicians.

Thus, dismissing his vision and conscience based solely on the physical absence of new school buildings shows a shallow understanding of effective governance. Leadership should not be judged by the number of ribbon-cutting ceremonies held but by the quality, sustainability, and real impact of policies enacted.

A truly wise electorate seeks leaders who fix broken foundations, not those who decorate collapsing houses.

Progress is when things are better today than yesterday and not the same as yesterday. Progress is when we have found more efficient ways to run society. Na so we suffer am for our time is not a badge of honor. If the world had this mentality, AI will be hidden because some people want the children to suffer how they suffered in their time. We are in 2025 sir.

Thank you. You write well and I hope to see more of you countering these weak narratives that the politicians have paid their sponsored agents to promote here. A lot of our politicians lack ideas and are makeup artistes that's why they prefer 'projects' and it's now so bad, they can invite media to see how they are dashing us pure water.

It's not even about Obi, it's about JAMB's logistic issue but they try everything to distract us from the main issue at hand. It's pathetically disgusting. The more they attack Obi, the more they make him popular. If they were wiser, they won't give him the cheap popularity by copying his cheat sheets.

Saying this in a country like this and at a time like this , shows how much you have lost touch with reality in the country. A country where even the parents and guardians are not safe enough to go on the roads.

Do you realize how much grace and mercy goes for anyone to ply the nigeria roads unharmed?

Many children were in the school as early as 5 am, thinking the exam will start by 6.30. Many children slept anywhere in and around the centres, even at the open fields where it didn't rain.

Why did children have to suffer like criminals just to be allowed to enter university?
it is a sign of weak education and not able to comprehend instructions to think exam starts at 6:30am. A possible failure of parent/guardian guidance as well.

Most schools resume at 7:15am in the morning. If you registered at a centre far away from your residence for "God knows what" maybe special centre. Don't turnaround and blame JAMB. Such students can go closer to the centre a day earlier. This Peter Obi does not even know how to make sensible criticism

Always exercise your 0.2kb worth of brainn na... every exam needs you to be present sometime before it starts. I know your lack of intelligence would want to suggest they start by 12 forgetting the myriad of factors that make that uneasy—for instance, those who have to travel long distance. Besides, most major exams in the world are done in the morning and requires your presence before the exam.

You probably never wrote any professional exam your whole life though, so I won't really blame you.

It's actually sad that we've made every issue about this present government to seem bad irrespective of the status quo even before Bros T came into power.

Truth be told, jamb has always been like this even before now, if you register late...its no brainer that your centre is definitely going to be in another state or LG within your state.

If we must see nothing wrong with it prior to Baba T's government despite the fact that we know this is totally unacceptable, why shout foul now all in name of chasing clout.

PS: If you claim to be aware of this Jamb system of exams only after PO made that post, you're just been a hypocrite. It's has been the norm ever since (not in support of logistics of jamb regarding the exams) but you never saw anything wrong with it until now. Haba now, make we dey tell ourselves the truth.

Which quality of education can the existing schools he met provide to the number of schooling age children produced each year of his 8 years as governor?

How much was he able to save for future generations after just 10 years?

An investment which the current governor Soludo says is next to nothing after 8 years that he left office is not an investment to deny children from have access to going to school.?

Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State who was governor at the same time with Peter Obi under the original Labour Party when Peter Obi was governor built mega schools in almost every community which are still performing till today.

Like I have told you people several times already,; talk like this one you gave is very cheap but action speaks louder than talk.

Your last paragraph shows your hypocrisy because Tinubu is repairing the broken foundation of Nigeria as he met it now but you people said he is not doing anything yet use that same argument to defend a man who couldn't build any school and hospital for 8 years that he was governor is shameful and indefensible. I rather respect you if you admit he failed in that but would make amend rather than make this cheap sensational argument to defend him. I don't hate the man Peter Obi but I hate that he did nothing while he was governor to deserve my support as long as he keeps saying he did well because he obviously didn't cut any tape apart from a beer factory that has also almost collapsed if not collapsed already

Baba, Peter Obi met too many schools. In his state, there are so many mission schools existing. Add this to the private schools being built every day by rich individuals and you will know should are too much there.

Obi did the best thing a wise governor will do, stop spending to build new schools, expand and maintain the old ones, build facilities, employ more teachers and pay them well, renovate the schools and hand them over to a unified management.

Of course it yielded maximum benefits. Anambra schools were winning laurels in every exams, local and international competitions.

God bless Peter Obi.
