This recommendation letter/affidavit of return, how do you go about it?
Kindly pay attention to the information.
You find how to go about it.
I just bolded it.

Thank you for your response, however, I need some clarification if you will be kind.

Can I really without the appeal to Nantes? How do I establish this ties? Not married. Can travelling to any west Africa country help? Say Ghana?

Thank you once more.
Ghana doesn't really count - especially as you don't need a visa to Ghana.

You can try Dubai, Qatar or any Asian Country to start with.

UK and US are also very fixated on travel history (US was not in the past but lately, it appears that they are).

I believe someone has already advised you on how to prove your ties to Nigeria.

Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by firebreather: 4:33pm On Apr 28, 2025
Once again, I am asking. Does one have to do C of O for their properties when applying for Schengen visa or the Deed of Assignment is sufficient?
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by AdeGbuyi20(m): 9:59pm On Apr 28, 2025
Thank you so much for this. I think I have a clearer understanding now.

firebreather:
Like that person said, it's not really about the money. In fact, sometimes when you have excessively large money in the account you used to apply it will look suspicious like you're planning to abscond to their country hence the huge money (they'll think you want to use that to settle in their country).

To demonstrate strong ties to Nigeria, you can include leave letter (and No Objection Certificate) from your work assuming you're employed but if you own your own business it's a different case. You could also add that you're caring for an elderly parent if you're single otherwise include your marriage certificate.

Another way is to submit proof of ownership of properties or other tangible assets that can really prove that you will return to Nigeria. I've also seen people including that they're about to get married with a wedding photoshoot and IV or their sister is about to get married.

In essence, take your time to start a convincing cover letter, emphasizing that you'll return to Nigeria after your trip.

You can also share your cover letter here when done so people can help you review.

Also, Ghana won't really count towards your "travel history" as they're just considered our neighbours so maybe you shouldn't waste money going there 🫠

Present whatever document you have. As long as it's not fake, it should be fine.

Hi, do you think it's necessary for your spouse to write a letter of recommendation on behalf of your visa application?

Not necessary

Thank you so much for your this. I will be appealing as you've advised via email and use in reapplying, while searching I found this email. "Webmestre.france-visas@diplomatie.gouv.fr" is this the right mail?
I have been going through this forum to see a format of such letter in guiding me. I will also be getting the recommendation from the lawyer/police. Thank you so much.

hunee:
I always tell people to fix their applications first with appeals first before reapplying for France visas(in cases where they get rejected)
It is a technical approach towards a reapplication OR betterstill, send an appeal to their mail acknowledging your errors and informing them of your intentions to reapply in future when circumstances change.
There are usually different approach to this visa thing depends on your strategy.

On your reapplication, ensure to attach that email copy of the appeal you sent, a recommendation letter from the police station , YES , a recommendation from a police station
may shock everyone, but it is good approach too and an affidavit of return drafted by your lawyer(more like a recommendation letter)

If you follow this carefully, you should score a goal this time. This is the clarity you need (Proof of sufficient ties and recommendations)

O appreciate your explanation. I am also applying for study visa with the USA and only wanted the France as travel history against the USA later in July or August.

Please I want to apply for France Visit Visa. I don’t have any info tho I have been following up with the day 2 day conversation on here and I have few questions to ask…

I AM A FIRST TIMER.

Please these are my questions::

1. What is the best time to book for vacation or conference?
2. Which one is more better to give higher visa approval between Vacation or conference? I don’t have anyone in France that can send me invite.
3. Which one give me upper hand between paid conference or free conference?
4. Can I just pick any conference off on google or are there any conferences that can give me upper hand I don’t mind paying.
What are the other information that I need also I plan to visit Germany from France is it possible?

Thank you very much family…
Please family, I still need answers to these above questions please help me

Hi everyone

I'm having a bit of a confusion. The company I'm working for, I started there in September 2022 but it was in October 2023 the company did it's CAC registration. Will this raise any concern when I submit my employment letter dated 2022 while the CAC certificate was issued in 2023?

1. As a first timer, don't book for May - July since that's peak summer time and tourist from 1st world countries will also be going to France. The problem here is the visa officers will be swarmed with applications both of other first timers and experienced travelers. And they will likely just grant experienced travelers without much checking but will look into a first timer's application more closely.

2. I can't say about that but if you prepare your documents accurately, either option is fine. In fact, I'll prefer the vacation. Of course, if your bank statement and other documents qualify for vacation.

3. The visa officer will likely not even know about the conference so they won't care whether it's paid or free. At most, they might just email the organizers to confirm if you're actually on their list of attendees. But I'll lean more into a paid conference since that means there'll be less people applying for such conference so if/when the visa officer contacts the organizers about you, they will get a quicker confirmation.

4. Yes, you can pick any conference on anywhere. This is the best site I know for finding conferences 10times dot com (there you can filter by industry/discipline/month/country etc). But I'll advise that whatever conference you want to choose, make sure it's related to your field of study/work/business. For example, if you have a logistics business and you say you want to attend a conference in Fisheries, it will look fishy unless you can explain how that will contribute to your logistics business or vice versa.

5. It's possible to visit any other Schengen country from France provided you did not overstay in the Schengen zone. The general rule of thumb is to enter the Schengen zone via the country that issued you visa (so you can get the country's entry stamp on your passport), spend the most days in the visa issue country, and if you can exit via the visa issuing country. However, for a first timer, it's advisable to not state that you're planning to visit other countries. Keep your cover letter and itinerary to a single country then when you get the visa, you can go wherever you want as far you keep in mind the general rule of thumb.

Is there anyone in France who can show my parents around during their 1 week vacation in France. I am happy to pay some money. I will not be traveling with them and they are elderly.

It's okay. And that one month gives you more opportunity to perfect your documents.

Best of luck

Book a slot with Paris Greeters. They are volunteers who show tourists around:

Should be fine. Only issue is that the ticket might be expensive as you'll most likely buy it close to your travel date.

Goodevening all the gurus in the house and everyone. Please I need assistance and advice

(1) I transferred out the entire money( #6m ) from my salary acc(POF )to my other acc due to much expenses. But now,I intend to apply for France Schengen visa by nxt month end or June ending.Pls can anyone here educate me on how I can transfer back the money to my salary acc(POF)without the money being seen by the visa officer as bulk transfer which is a red flag.

Secondly, pls i'll like to know which has better chances of visa approval, tourist or conference.
Pls suggest conferences that embassies honour .

I studied Electronics Physics technology but I have been working as a PipeFitter since after graduation. If am going thru conference, should I book according to what I studied in the university or as a PipeFitter Engineer
