Often, the justices want to ensure that no stone is left unturned. To sentence someone to death is not easy on any judge. Let no one tell you otherwise.

But shouldn't there be a better way to ensure speedy administration of justice globally? With all the emerging technologies and improved forensic techniques......why do families of victims need to wait for years to get justice?

Governors hardly sign the death warrants. Those who are meant to be hung are fed taxpayers' money despite their death sentences.

our governors are very corrupt and don't have a clear conscience so they can never sign it

I watch ID channel a lot and I can tell you there was a time in these developed countries when getting justice took decades, because technology wasn’t this advanced.

There were even murder cases that were closed due to lack of forensic or substantial evidence that were later revisited. Sometimes, decades later.

I had to mention this because you had compared Nigeria to developed countries.

My way of saying murder cases aren’t easy for judges to convict even when evidence is glaring.

Some countries don’t even do death. Most states in the US don’t do death but they go for life imprisonment, instead— because it isn’t easy to convict someone to death. Judges are humans and often don’t want to be tainted with blood on their hands— I think.
