Data and achievement don't lie

There is no verifiable data in this world where the yorubas supercede the Igbos in anything.

Is it education? MICS study conducted by UNICEF shows that the SE has the highest literacy rate in the country.

Is it wealth distribution and poverty? The NBS data shows that the SE has the lowest prevalence of multidimensional poverty in the country.

Is it HDI? The SE states have higher HDI than all the SW states except lagos (for obvious reasons). And if you account for ethnic groups in the Lagos HDI, the Igbos contribute a major share.

Is it Economic mobility? An average Igbo is more likely to move up the economic ladder than the average yoruba.

The Igbos are the most educated black race in diaspora and have a higher global foot print in STEM fields than yoruba.

I'd strongly wish some of these political pundits would not be mouthing off about 2027. Use that time and energy to help fix 2025 issues.

Tinubu does not need igbo vote to win again. His political strategy to get south south support is to counter south east. Nobody can fool tinubu cos he is ahead of every single living politicians in Nigeria currently politically.

His SS strategy is in and of itself a swing in the miss. Many SS people will not vote Tinubu regardless of their governor's political affiliation. They know that Tinubu just needs them for numbers and would shun them after elections without anything tangible.
The SW votes (and if by any miracle the SS align with Tinubu) will not win Tinubu the election without either the northern votes or the SE votes (based on sheer numbers of both voting blocs).
Be pragmatic in your reasoning.

2. He release Nnamdi KANU unconditionally

But these two things are likely impossible. So the entire SE and the best part of SS remains under lock and key for PO or his preferred candidate.

When did Southwest even became relevant in deciding who wins Presidential election in Nigeria? It only started in 2015.

Before 2015, it was Southeast and North that decided who became Nigeria's President.


Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe vs Belewa vs Awolowo

Zik won and merged with Belewa to form a coalition government in the 1960s.


In 1976, Southeast and North merged to produce Shagari/Ekwueme that beat Awolowo that got Southwest massive votes.

They repeated it again in 1981.


1993, Southeast voted massively for MKO Abiola as against the lies you were told by your political elites. Southeast had just 4 states then, MKO won Anambra and in the remaining 3 states, MKO got more than 42% of total votes cast in Southeast while Tofa who had an Igbo running mate won the other 3 Southeast states with 46%, meaning MKO secured more than the needed 25% vote he needed in Southeast.


In 1999, Southeast with North formed PDP, gave the ticket to Obasanjo and joined together their votes and made Obasanjo President while Olu Falae that Southwest voted massively lost woefully to Obasanjo supported by Southeast and North.


In 2019, Atiku won Buhari if not for the massive rigging using power of incumbency, and it was a collabo between Southeast and some North.


In 2023, Southeast votes with that of Middlebelt, SouthSouth, and few Southwest & Northeast gave Peter Obi the win until INEC changed the result by switching off irev.


For your information, if a free and fair census is carried out in Nigeria without prejudice, you will be shocked to discover that after Hausa, Igbos are the next most populated tribe spread across 3 geopolitical zones of Nigeria; Southeast, SouthSouth and Middlebelt.



Igbos are everywhere. Even in the Northern votes, Igbo votes count in thousands if not millions. Igbo votes count in Southwest, North Central and SouthSouth. Forget, nepotism aside, Igbo is a formidable race which you too can attest to if you are honest to yourself
