Great100000:You are beating about the bush. My top reasons are: Inability to secure Residency documents which automatically frustrates every other things especially getting a job. Committing crime resulting in being haunted by Security agents. Deportation Some also return voluntarily having realized they are better off back home financially. Some are just tired and retired, after spending many years doing menial jobs or experiencing all sorts of discrimination and wants to establish a business back home and run it themselves. |

Many that japada are those that already have what it takes to japa again anytime they want to. If I secure ILR only in the UK, I may decide to come back Nigeria and only come to work in the UK during the summer. |

Great100000:Likely a Paid greenwashing advert. Most people just come to retire when they believe their retiirement.money would go further in Nigeria. Some also do come.back to to avoid debt or arrest or divorce actions ,. Some do to take over or set up business or investments in Nigeria Some also do when things dont work out for them there be it papers, job, finances, career issues, debt, marriage issues, bills, Some might get a lucky financial windfall and feel money stretches better in Nigeria Outflow is greater than inflow however |

HEAVEN4444:Chai. Too much bills is what I believe is making people to have a rethink, especially in places like UK. A Nigerian blogger Yetunde green discussed this bill issues and concluded that a lot of people might be considering relocation from UK. She showed her latest water bill 800 pounds. She said those earning less than 3000 pounds in UK, are bleeped as the matter dey go. |

Wealthoptulent:There's a part of Lagos that makes one feel like they're in the abroad, it's not perfect but it's fast advancing with top tier management. This, combined with lower taxes and higher returns on investment provide more than enough incentives to japada. You can live here and visit the west for vacation. There's money in Nigeria o. My company poaches investors in the UK, we offer higher ROI than similar firms in the UK, and they're happy to invest. A lot goes on in Nigeria man |

7lives:which those earning less than 3000 are the majority . Even that 3000 will be heavily taxed then bills then living expenses then jollofment like fast foods etc and outings. Nothing remain for month end. Listen I have always said it, the only thing keeping Nigeria from being heaven is our temperatures. It's too hottttttttttttttt. If GOD can reduce the temperature naija will be heaven. 😃😃😃😃 |

Who is this one? Some bloggers must be flogged. If you have a 10 - 15 meter JAPA ASIN JAPA and don't look back at all, am an advocate for calculated relocation. Things can only get worse in NIGERIA, stop taking your colossal failure politician seriously they don't have anything to offer, they are a bunch of fools - to waste another 8 years of your life will be a shame not just to you but your family members too |

Great100000:(4) Government incentives and ease of repatriation Policies such as simplified expatriate quotas, tax relief for returning professionals and funding for diaspora-led enterprises have reduced barriers to return. Streamlined processes for recognizing foreign qualifications and opening local bank accounts further smooth the transition. When and where did this one happen ![]() Rubbish. |

The topic is about reasons why people who japa return home .... not why people leave or if more return home than leave... has nothing to do with numbers. @ topic ....OP choose a topic he knows very little about. Others have already listed solid reasons. In recent times I would say the main reasons are people who have been barely managing and find it even more difficult in this sweeping recession. It is easier to survive back home without money than to survive abroad with little money. Those without papers.... the Trump crackdown is no joke ...people without papers are living like fugitives... in fear ... fear of being picked up and deported and worse ....deported where?...back home or to prison in El Salvador? Most be hiding at home ... afraid to go to work ...afraid to go and look for work .... afraid to answer the door. How do I know ..... see it every day. Chew on this
