It is advisable to always book hotels that offer free cancellations. Now that you have booked, it is better you cancel the booking and rebook with the dates of your proposed travel. I think the booking thing per hotel and flights is more so that the visa officer has an inkling as to your travel date and not that they really expect anyone to actually pay for these bookings. Labelle:Cancel the booking. Book another accomodation that offers free cancellation till sometime in June or July. Your flight booking would usually cancel after max 72 hours so there's nothing you can do about that. |

I would like to change my travel date from May to August. Is it possible to fill a new form and attach it with my application? This new one will have hotel accommodation and flight for August. My appointment is next week. Please advice. |

Why not try this? Print the old application then fill a new one and print that one too. When you get to the submission centre, submit the new one and if the TLS staff want to be difficult (i.e not allowing you to submit the new one), then go with the old one. But I don't think the TLS staff that will receive/process your file knows your intended travel date until you've submitted your documents. Labelle: |

Hello Please I need an advice, So in my form I indicated I was going to Spain for 2days from france, I submitted the hotel reservations for both france and Spain but I didn't submit any transportation reservations to Spain. I indicated in my itinerary that I will buy my train ticket to Spain at the station. Is this a red flag? I already submitted, just want to know |

Just to add, sir/ma, if this is your first Schengen visa application, it's better to keep your itinerary to only France (officially) and request for the number of days that will allow you to visit Spain also. But if you've enough travel history or you've been in the Schengen zone before, no qualms. Whatever you do, best of luck on it. Just letting you know there's too much scrutiny on first time applicants (especially, if you've got no travel history). Alexie89: |

Can anyone (who's been to the VAC recently) please share the updated list of documents to be submitted at TLS France? I've seen the list from the France visa application portal and below is what I've listed down so far, but I also know they sometimes update/change the list of required documents without updating the site immediately so I wanted to be sure. 1. Cover letter 2. Itinerary 3. Employment details 3a. Employment offer letter 3b. Confirmation of employment 3c. Work ID 3d. Leave letter 3e. NOC letter 4. Flight bookings 5. Hotel bookings 6. Insurance from AXA 7. Strong ties to home country 7a. NIN 7b. Birth certificate 7c. University degree 7d. NYSC certificate 7e. Properties documents edit I understand some of these are not strictly required but I'm trying to put the best foot forward as a first time applicant |

abubakarolatu:Do you think it's fine to add university degree and any other certificate I've obtained? Will that give me a stronger stand in the eyes of the visa officer? |

Can I use e-copy of bank statements? Do they need to be signed and stamped? Gtbank is fine because its already signed and stamped, but some other banks do not have these. Does this mean I have to visit the branch? Do I also need reference letter from the bank too? Please help confirm. |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Jane111: 8:04am On May 08, 2025 |
If you are using your personal bank statements, you don't need a reference letter but then again it is good to be on the side of supplusage. Most banks do have signed and stamped options in generating your statements on their various apps, I can speak of Access and GTB. If you intend to use one of the banks without this online option then you have to visit the branch or send them a mail so that they can send it to you via email as well, all the best. Labelle: |

Hello Good evening I have an appointment for July but I would like to reschedule to an earlier date. Does that mean I’ll have to pay another application fee? Is it possible to get an earlier date within May ? |

I finally submitted my application today and saw the racket TLS is pulling on people. For example, your passport pix is not bright enough, and you'll pay them to retake it. There are errors in your application, and we can help you correct it. That's 12k and so on..... |
