Onewazobia: We are just deceiving ourselves if we are not ready to shine the torchlight on the money movement. As long as we dont have an open fiscal policy on transparency, even foreign investors would be scared to come into Nigeria. As we approach 2027, every governor should be able to say how much he has borrowed and what he did with the money. So the voters can know whats really going on. If we had done that , the likes of Yahya Bello would not have embezzled 80 billion. He should have been detected in the first tenure and voted out for Kogi state to move forward. |

AdesegunSanni89:But Tinubu is also actively "mortgaging" Nigeria's future by borrowing trillions from the same World bank with no single tangible project attached to it. Should we conclude that his successor will also not do much as a result of this? |

This can't be true. $350m loan to just one state. What are they developing. World Bank is responsible for some of these problems. That's how afroexim bank gave us $2.97 billion loan to rehabilitate our refineries. Money gone but no refurbished refinery. Money down the drain. |

AMINDA:Try and read between the lines I said El-Rufai might have squadered SOME loans.El-Rufai carried out some urban renewal projects which were visibly selective. There is clear difference between the Kaduna South and Kaduna North.I have my facts. What are states of Sabo Nassarawa Roads and others in Kaduna South today?Or are they not part of the urban? |

AdesegunSanni89:That is incompetence at work. Kaduna State is not the only State where former governors have taken loans and mortgaged the State. Any incumbent governor complaining about such is already a complete inconvenience and incompetent failure. |

This is purely politically motivated. Uba Sani made same complaint and was availed N150B by PBAT. Why the revisionist theory ? There is a calculated attempt by politicians targeting known opposition members who they feel as threats in 2027. El-rufai and Peter Obi are some of them. We see clearly what is happening and we observe. Matewalle the Minister of State for Defence should be interogated to as he has corruption cases hanging on his neck. |

Uba Sani facilitated the loan while Elrufai was in power. Today, it's come back to haunt him and he's sponsoring media attacks against his estranged former boss. To be fair to Elrufai, he promised to undertake URBAN renewal and he picked a city in each of the senatorial zone - Kaduna in Zone 2,Zaria in Zone 1& Kafanchan in Zone 3. And he did fairly well in execution of the projects therein. The urban renewal program was more about roads than any other infrastructure. But in terms of renovation of hospitals and schools, all parts of the state benefited. One good thing with Elrufai was he gave the chairmen a free hand with their finances. For the first time in many years, the serious ones amongst them were able to execute projects in their localities. I don't support dollarised loans but Uba Sani is reaping what he sowed and fertilised |

Thats the pattern that has come to define us. Uneven distribution of benefits but even distribution of funding or repaymwnt of loans funding the benefits. Buhari too did it at nationl level. Many northern states are doing it to Christians as minorities and using them repay loans enjoyed elsewhere. |

And this loan will be paid back by the wealth of the Niger Delta, the injustice of Nigeria. The Niger deltans need to start becoming aware of their suffering and hold their leaders accountable. |

Elusive001:They are all political strategist. Every one wants power. There's a special assignment reserved for Obi and that's to split votes. The only way Obi will not be useful in that regard is for him not to contest or run on a platform of coalition, anything outside that tool, he's a useful tool in their hand and he will be settled, forget about all those SM noise. Very soon some staunch ally of Pa Tinubu will start decamping to pick forms in other parties just to split votes of the opposition. OBJ did the same it was Jonathan that allowed coalition under his watch and I shouted then. So Pa Tinubu is using both strategies to ensure victory. All politicians are the same. It's only technocrat I can give a little bit of consideration. |
