I remember when i use to attend deeper life, after a while i noticed i felt oppressed and maybe confused (heavy), and i stopped attending.

But i thank God, when i opened myself first to the gospel, i began to understand the gospel, the good news, and now no church can take that away from me.

Thank God for the internet, you can also listen to many teachers and learn more faster. And i learn from humble teachers, who are also sound and Spirit lead.

Once you have understood the gospel and been sealed by Gods Spirit, you belong to Jesus, and no teaching of man can take that from you.

I noticed many Christains, have not really understood the gospel, which is the first thing that should be understood, they are still in ancient Isrealite mode or in a mixture of superstitions and ancient mode.

If you really know what you're doing you should have a place of worship,no matter what you learn online

I remember that lady. I saw the pic. From another Perspective, how could a lady who knows or has heard the church she's going to do some assignments ADVERTENTLY display such crass stupidity. I mean she wouldn't dare if it's a mosque or if her primary point of assignment was in Saudi Arabia

.Daddy kumuyi needs to first apologise then point out where he made mistakes and do a thorough teaching according to scripture s with the help of the holy spirit on areas he want to make amends. I remembered an incidence when i was in primary school.A pastors (Daddy praise)son was planning a wedding outside deeper life and guess what the pastor was told not to attend the wedding.The pastor refused and attended his son's wedding.He was suspended when he came back.Jesus did not preach denomination.He need to first apologise. For some man made rules that he imposed or taught his people.

Materialism that has consumed the church has no place in deeper life.if they have a project.they will gradually contribute according to their pocket unlike my own church(rccg) where one of our pastors went as far as asking us to help them borrow money money to complete a new project immediately after a big project.
No church on earth is perfect.we are all working toward perfection and God is coming for a perfect church hence individual judgement.
Any church you are going to sieve whatever you are taught in line with God's word and help of the holy spirit and you are good to go

Sometimes it's all those underling pastors that are the major part of the problems.
They fail to fully understand and therefore misapply what they were taught. Of course with a nod from their GO's, probably because it wasn't causing any harm to the institution at the initial stage - which, to me,is where I blame the GO's. I consider them selfish at that point.
Because if they didn't address it when it posed no existential threat to their system,why address it now?

Well, daddy Kumuyi is yet to attain perfection. He is still going on the journey of perfection, so he's subject to error. Even Christ while on earth stated categorically that none is good except God when someone tried to call Him good teacher.
If daddy Kumuyi has put some measures on the ground in the past and now he sees it as no longer working, he has the right by the leading of the spirit to change them. I do not see any problem here.

Kumuyi was never a JW member, but has his root from the Apostolic Faith Church. So stop pushing a wrong narrative. Kumuyi's Church doctrines never copy that of JW's own. He is actually clearer than most other preachers with the way he talks.
Except if you're saying it's distracting you, which is possible.

wish i saw this post earlier, the definition of a church have been bastardize due to how Christians are liberal and everyone open whatever without proper regulation what a shame. i barely go to church but when ever i choose to i go to deeper life, why that the only place you hear the truth jus like billy graham sermon i listen to them alot just the truth not too many tweaks and twist, to me as a street boy the only place i go to put checks to my wickedness is that church. whatever the founders or public view about it i dont care because a church is a place to have a connection with your maker.

many churches are now an entertainment center, imagine i go club on Saturday them dey play obulee i com church on sunday keyboardist dey use piano they fire obulee church scatter no form of sobriety at all jus chaos start to end with an inspirational pep talk from the clergyman

You are not the only one. There's just something about the way he speaks or his voice I just can't place it.but then it's the way he speaks so I just try to pick the words.

@topic Deeper life is one of the ministries I so admire, they have been able to maintain the biblical standard for a long time. They may have their shortcomings though but as always it's mostly leaders and members all that overdo all these things. Especially marriage/marriage committee matter omo people saw shege.

Had an experience about one DL brother that wanted to marry me. Merely remembering the incident makes me laugh 😂 the tori is long.

This woman placed Chosen vest on her instead of rushing her to hospital.
I arrived home and was shocked to see my sis shaking with Chosen vest placed on her.
I yelled at mumsi for not rushing her to hospital

He hid that from the public so nobody will trace his doctrine to JW.
Ask yourself: why is it that everyone likes to compare Deeperlife to JW?

You know I don't believe in that marriage committee thingy. The best marriage committee are my own parents biko.

You are indirectly saying both churches are fulfilling what Jesus said about his true disciples:

A student is not above his teacher, nor a slave above his master. It is enough for the student to become as his teacher, and the slave as his master. If people have called the master of the house Be·elʹze·bub, how much more those of his household? Matthew 10:24-25

Deeperlifer looks like JWs because Kumuyi was once a JW but he wanted a monetized ministry whereas JW is not monetized so nobody can make money through JW organization.

The bottom line is, just allow Jesus and the Holy spirits leads you...

All those Deeper Life stuff and JW is what it's.

I'm against anything that's against the teaching of Jesus Christ and Holy spirit..

I remember when Deeper life dedicated their new HQ in Gbagada. The sound engineer they brought was a Nigerian-American. Lady had zero f-cks to give. She left her hair open with her long attachments and wore trousers. I was surprised to be honest.

A number of these churches will be in crises in the near future. With aging GO's, nebulous plans of succession and declining populations, it will be hard to see them maintain the many branches they have around.

Most of the mega churches will collapse in the future, and highly mismanaged with excessive embezzlement and corruption.
In few years time lesser people will be going to church in Nigeria, due to the fact that the new generation of teens are highly informed , full of creative thoughts and can't be manipulated or cajoled with heaven, hell fire, Jesus Christ, aljanah, Muhammad etc
And on the church side , that want to turn the church to a family inheritance tree, old founders trying to force their children to take over the church leadership by force.
