Jerrygotswagg:Thank you for this post. You have indeed seen how thw future presents itself with all these businesses. The major issue with all these business proposals that people introduce to others is that they are laced with hidden risks that they do not reveal. If anyone cannot give you a guarantee that your investment is covered comprehensively via an insurance or custodial policy, do not step into thw ring of business with them. Just like many keep touting and screaming at the top of their keypads, if business generates high percentage returns per annum, there is no reason why the owner of such businesses should seek for additional funding. This is because the effect of compounding those returns will transform it by almost 10X to 20X or more in a few years. Like we say in the stock market, don't go and use your hard earned money to pay school fees o! Guard your money and ensure your principal is protected at all cost. My advise o Oga @AmgAmg still remains to invest in a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)registered money market mutual fund that currently gives close to 20% (due to the stability being experienced in the foreign exchange regime), convert the proceeds of your monthly interest to USD and invest it in an USD money market mutual fund. In a few years, you will be amazed at how much you have amassed due to this almost risk free investment strategy. At the point you are getting comfortable with a specific amount of returns, you can use your predetermined allowable excess on your terms from the USD or NGN money market funds to invest in quality bluechip stocks which will fetch good dividends and capital appreciation in the mid term. In all these, your initial capital or principal is not only preserved but constantly growing whichbalso keeps the interest or retuens growing as well. This strategy is well scripted, tested , trusted and used by many rich people to transform tonwealthy individuals wherein they preserve and grow their capital or principal. Just like @JerrygotSwagg has said in clear terms, use your head o! No invest in wetin go carry you go where you no know o! Selah. 😎 💰 🙌🏽 💯 |

AmgAmg:On the business and investment side, here is my suggestion. 1. I have a company, registered and fully into business. The challenge is not being able to have enough fund to execute some bigger contract jobs, as the company fund are always on the way, either expecting payment or funding a particular job. The company needs more funds to fund as much as the LPO it can get. Note bank loans are not too easy and the interest there of is not smiling. So my proposal is for you to come in as a partner/share holder/signatory to company account. So that you can put in your capital for use strictly in funding LPO at a lower interest rate. Note that being a share holder will require you to buy parts of the company share, not giving you free share. |

DrDoc:Thanks for taking the time to share your proposal in detail. I’ve gone through it carefully, and while I appreciate your vision and ambition, I need to be 100% honest with you: ₦25 million is just too much of a commitment for me. That’s actually part of the reason I didn’t respond in the first place.. in-fact, How do you expect me to put money into something that’s just based on words… I mean purely talk … “I’ll do this, I’ll do that” — without anything concrete on ground. feels too risky, bro. If there’s room to start with something much smaller …. Let say ₦1 million or less, strictly as a trial … then I’d be more open to having that conversation. But even that would need to be backed with some proper structure, timelines, and the right documentation put in place By the way, where are you based? I live in Lagos,I’ve never been anywhere outside the states for business. Part of why I’m asking where you’re located is because I prefer to deal with things I can see, visit, or monitor when need be… I hope you understand my skepticism… it’s nothing personal, that’s just how I operate. Let me know what you think. |

AmgAmg:Accepted. Can we start with 1.5 M while you follow the process from start till finish? I am a lagos based. But Lagos doesn't have vast lands for agriculture. About having nothing concrete to show. This is wrong. I have visuals of my last year's production. I am awaiting rain to resume and commence this year's production as i write thus very moment. So, i am not a rookie in this industry Sir. We can start somewhere together. When you see my performance, you will come back to ask for more. I have business documentation that will certify pact of doing business together already. When we discuss privately, i will share it and upon review, we can refine it to become as so desired. Since you are to know the site of business operations, it is better for you to visit me. Abeokuta isn't a village and if i drop you the Geo location, you can easily use Google to drive to me Sir. Let me know what you think Sir ? |

DrDoc:Thanks for your quick and detailed reply. But I also want to mention something that raised concerns for me when I went through your proposal couple of weeks ago …. “ the idea of buying a tractor for ₦40 million”. Like I mean, that was a big red flag …. no seasoned farmer working with limited expansion capital goes straight to buying a tractor. Most people lease or outsource mechanized work to keep costs down and stay flexible. not throwing money at big equipment that may sit idle 9 months of the year. |
| Re: I Recently Received An Inheritance And Now Have Over ₦150-million Just Sitting T by DrDoc: 9:15am On May 07, 2025 |
AmgAmg:Sir, go bakc to the proposal and re-read it more patiently. That proposal was initially made for 40-80 M yearly output. Then seeking another funds to raise another 40-80 M.on the site solely for tractor purchase Listen to the facts and dont find reasons to say red.flags i caught a thief. Go and review the execution plan more patiently. |
| Re: I Recently Received An Inheritance And Now Have Over ₦150-million Just Sitting T by DrDoc: 9:16am On May 07, 2025 |
Now, if in 2027, i want to execute lets say 1000 acres charged at 30k per acre if one hires a tractor, that is 1000 x 30,000 = 30M, does it not make sense for me to want to pwn a brand new tractor at 40M that would have a servixe span of 40+ years ? The tractor purchase is no at the stating cost why qould i use my entire first year earnings for hardware purchase. I am renting for the first years. That tractor purchase is if the first year goes fully optimized or i push to second year. Its just a structural plan towards where i am headed |
| Re: I Recently Received An Inheritance And Now Have Over ₦150-million Just Sitting T by DrDoc: 9:35am On May 07, 2025 |
The proposal means FARM A generates 40 M per annum and the funds will be used for the upper year's production. Then it has a FARM B proposition to generate an extra 40 M which is what is projected to be used for tractor purchase while FARM A revenue will be used for subsequent productions Sir. When you visit my farm location, it is a 7,000 acres farm settlement. You will see so many corporate farms, set up with 10,20,30,50,100 M etc. The environment alone will let you see its not a joking community. |
| Re: I Recently Received An Inheritance And Now Have Over ₦150-million Just Sitting T by DrDoc: 9:45am On May 07, 2025 |
A tractor doesnt sit down idle nine months of the year. Tractors can be used round the year even in very dry seasons if there is water source for irrigation purchases. I.e if a water tanker supplies water and wets the ground, a tractor will still work. Asides personal farm use, tractor can be used for rentage. In dry season, tractors can be primed with tractor bucket to carry wood for charcoal production. From March, tractors can work, April, May , June. August, Sept, October. This is a whooping seven months of usage during the wet season Tractors are not only used for ploughing the ground. Tractors are efficent in planting seeds. In spraying chemicals. For large scale farms when human strength would fail, tractors are the way to go, for speed, efficency and effectiveness |

DrDoc:Thanks again for your explanation. But to be honest, the way you responded came off a bit defensive and confrontational almost like you were taking it personal. I’m not trying to attack you or say you’re not legit…. I’m just being careful, as anybody would, especially when money is involved. If we’re going to work together, I believe there should be room for open and respectable conversation. I’m simply raising genuine concerns so I can understand things better and make well informed decisions . It’s not beef, it’s just how I operate That being said, I have few more questions: 1. How long have you been running this farm business actively? 2. Do you have a registered business name or company for it? 3. Apart from this proposal, what kind of records or documents do you have to back up past performance? Like pictures,or harvest data? 4. Who else is on your team? Or are you running it solo? 5. What kind of risks have you faced so far … like weather, market, or pests …. and how do you usually handle those? 6. How do you plan to handle reporting or updates if someone comes on board with you? Weekly? Monthly? 7. And lastly, if we were to start small (like we discussed), how exactly would the 1.5M be used ? |

AmgAmg:1. How long have you been running this farm business actively? Five years gathered experience. Launched last year 2. Do you have a registered business name or company for it? Fully registered with CAC years ago 3. Apart from this proposal, what kind of records or documents do you have to back up past performance? Like pictures,or harvest data? Harvest visuals. Pictures and videos https://www.nairaland.com/8198084/rate-farm-produce-guys 4. Who else is on your team? Or are you running it solo? There are other persons on my team. Some have invested, others in final talking stages. This includes two Canadian Nigerians on the forum 5. What kind of risks have you faced so far … like weather, market, or pests …. and how do you usually handle those? As a seasoned producer, i know the weather patterns, when to plant and when not to and the right seeds to suit each season. I have multiple standby markets that includes multi nationals that can buy as much as hundred of million naira worth of produce. Pests have pesticides, well within my knowledge ability. Like i say to people, Crop agriculture is one of the only industries that can sustain up to 60% loss in event of unforeseen circumstances and still not run into loss..I know the internal maths well enough to boldly state thus. 6. How do you plan to handle reporting or updates if someone comes on board with you? Weekly? Monthly? I have a WhatsApp group where video feeds are uploaded almost weekly. 7. And lastly, if we were to start small (like we discussed), how exactly would the 1.5M be used ? Ofcourse, purchase of seeds, manure, payment for labour services, tractor operatoons payment Be kind to reach me by mail Creativoutfits ( without an "e" at the end of the vreativ ) @ gmail dot com |

Good day sir🙌 I saw your post about a week ago and I wanted to comment but then I realized that I needed to be a member of Nairaland before commenting or posting anything. After the registration I realized also that I need to wait for about a week before being able to post or comment. Let me quickly drop my suggestion. First of all congratulations on your inheritance. You know, the difference between Dangote, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos,Mark, Gates and so many of them out there is the mindset, that is, the business idea. Normally I will not bring my business idea to the public as I wouldn't want for it to be stolen even before I could execute it cause many persons out there do have the money but lack the idea while many of us who have the knowledge lack the capital. Let me just risk it here, maybe something good might come out of it. Let's dive in; It is in the oil sector but not directly. It is a process called 'pyrolysis', which is the thermal decomposition of biomass in a reactor in the absence of oxygen to produce volatile organic compounds (VOCs) which are condensed to form a complex mixture of hydrocarbons which is known as crude oil, pyrolysis oil or bio oil. This oil is further processed to produce usable fuels such as petrol/gasoline, kerosene, diesel, LPG etc. Some of the raw materials used for the production of the crude oil is scrap tyres, elephant grass and a whole list of other biomasses. Having gotten the idea, and now diving into business. You have 150 million naira fine and good, but all you need for this investment is 20million naira. With a 20million naira investment you will be able to have a setup that can produce nothing short of 1million naira on daily basis as profit and not total revenue. Now if you got that right it means you will be making a total of 365 million naira as net profit in a single year. Imagine investing up to 100million naira, but that is by the way. Now let's talk about the 20million naira investment. The following will be purchased and constructed; 1. Pyrolysis reactor. 2. Hydro treating reactor. 3. Catalytic cracking reactor. 4. Reformer. 5. Condensation unit. 6. Distillation column. 7. Fractionation column. 8. Storage tanks and a list of other equipments. Now after the setup of this pyrolysis plant I can beat my chest to tell you that you can be sure of a 1million naira daily profit, that is net not gross. I would like to end it here. Please whatever you want to ask you can chat me up on WhatsApp, reasons being that this is a very broad subject of discuss and so it is not very easy to keep typing. At least WhatsApp offers a range of options such as video call, voice note, pictures and videos upload so it is easier to communicate and explain things. Secondly I am willing to explain things to you in detail to make sure you understand what you may want to undertake and I don't intend to do that publicly as I wouldn't want to pass very vital information to the public about the business. This is because it is not a regular buying and selling business model. Talking on WhatsApp doesn't mean anything have happened, it's just going to be talk until when maybe we need to meet one on one and maybe a production process needs to be done in front of you just for you to be sure. If you are interested in the idea and wants to know more you can chat me up on WhatsApp via this number: 09168420949. Wish you the best. |

DrDoc:Good morning Thank you so much for taking the time to explain everything to me and for answering all my questions. I really appreciate how patient and detailed you’ve been. Honestly, from the way you talk about farming, it’s clear this thing no be joke for you… you really love it, and you’re clearly putting in serious work. I actually took time to go through your profile, check the active farms you posted, and scroll through your page. I won’t lie, I was impressed. Everything about your farming is there.. very organized, and you clearly know what you’re doing. I can even feel the passion from the way you present it. That’s a very good thing. Now, let me just talk straight.. the only thing that’s making me a bit worried is the matter of trust. It’s not that I don’t want to trust you o, it’s just that this kind of business is very different from what I’m used to. For example, someone once brought me a business idea about buying and selling lights. Even if I had put money there, I would still be involved.. I could look for suppliers, compare prices, and even handle things myself if wahala come. It’s like giving me money to buy toys.. I go to the market, pick what I want, and sell them. I dey control everything from start to finish. But with this farming matter, it’s not the same at all. I no be farmer. I won’t be there to plant, apply or to check how things are going. Everything is in your hands. It’s like giving money to someone to buy toys for me, but I no fit follow them go market, I no dey see wetin dem dey do, I just dey pray say dem go come back with wetin dem promise. And That kind of setup extremely risky … I mean doing business in that way or form is like playing sportybet.. don’t get wrong . everything could most probably go well, which is simply amazing… but if anything goes wrong, I won’t have the ability to step in or fix it. And worst-case scenario, if the person I trusted chose to take advantage of that trust… like Judas betraying Jesus na that one dey worry me pass. If trust break for this kind thing, the loss fit pain well well. And that would be a really hard hit for me emotionally and financially. In very way possible Is not like I don’t want this partnership to work. I really do. But because I’d be putting my full trust in you and wouldn’t have any direct control, I just need to be 100% sure that you’re someone I can rely on completely. |
| Re: I Recently Received An Inheritance And Now Have Over ₦150-million Just Sitting T by DrDoc: 7:58am On May 08, 2025 |
AmgAmg:You need to start to train yourself to work remotely in business. In the next future, remote farms will be the future. While i'm on my missionary adventures, i profram a schedule to be followed while i use Google earth, GIS, CCTV to do followup. You seem as though you're new to establishing businesses from your statement. Because qhen it comes to real business of recent times. It is rhe ability to be productive while absent. I will explain A client of mine setup a one Billion Naira poultry in ogun state. I can take you there on a tour. The guy is in Europe, but invested trust and good will in its operations Not forxing you though. But if you want to partner in people's businesses, you are not to seek to own and gain control of its day to day running but to review the risk management, operational protocols and these variables are the guiding factors that guide the biz executions. Dangote isnt in his factory to monitor day to day. Elon Musk too. The central idea is that systems are setup rhat guide amd dorect productivity. If we all do businesses that are only within our knowledge base or control, then we would also invariably be denying ourselves the prospects of disxovering opportunities rhat would be far bigger and better than ideas we function with. Here are some pics from farm visit yesterday

More pics These are large farms setup with 10-20-50M. Thats why i said earlier when you visit and see the productivity and seriousness around, you would almost mock me for having like the smallest farm around and be encouraged by the macro.productivity in the settlement. Also, saying to an investor come invest 1.5 M is not just about the money, but as a tool to say come discover a whole new goldmine you were not previously exposed to. That has the immense potential of blessing you in future... In the sense that you are using the seed funds to discover thee profitability on larger investment and larger yields, to follow the process, learn from it and then be an earner through it in what can be a lifetime. Do not take the beginning phases of projects trivial please. Farms are also not entirely to be unsupervised. You can setup once a month meeting, that is like five/six times the entire tenure once in a month say last weekend of each month. Rhis shiuldnt be too much time for a venture capitalist to invest to gain knowledge of what would bring enormous future benefits A venture capitalist should be open to discovery. And about funds safety, my current production capacity has an estimated annual flow of 25-30M without new investments and thus figure gros exponentially as new partners invest in the project. This insures your investment seed. The guy in the image is a sharp guy from the forum that visited me yesterday I am not forcing you. Whatever your decsion is,.please money is not easy to get. I am perfectly fine with your decision. Thanks

DrDoc:Thanks again for your message. I just want to clarify a few things so we’re on the same page. If you’re based in Lagos, then there’s still a possibility that we can work together. But for me to go ahead with any form of investment, two things are very important: 1. My lawyer must be involved …. from reviewing terms to preparing proper legal agreements. Everything has to be done with full documentation and transparency. 2. You have to be Lagos-based …. that’s non-negotiable for me. I don’t do long-distance business unless it’s with companies that are already well-established or properly regulated. So, if these two conditions are in place, then when I am back from my Dubai vacation in about three to four months time, then we can set a date to meet in person. That meeting would be for us to go over the structure, operations, and day-to-day plan together with my lawyer and other professionals. I believe that’s the best way to move forward in a serious and well structured way. Let me know your thoughts. |

AmgAmg:I am open to business. Why would i reject business offers ? I have an alternative idea. Lawyers need time to draft business agreements and crop farming is time sensitive, would not wait for agreements to be finalized. Why dont we do it this way. Why dont you debrief your lawyer about the inititative, then we use the three months of your break to prepare and review the documentation ahead of your arrival. Then when you arrive, we know its only putting pen to paper thats left ? |

DrDoc:Good evening First thing first So I spent the whole day doing absolutely nothing, so I decided to go through your proposal yet again. This time, I read everything very slowly, like I was decoding Da Vinci’s code. But one line nearly made me drop my phone…. the part where you said 240% return per cycle. Omo! So, if I understand correctly… you’re saying if I invest ₦1.5M, by the end of two cycles (aka one year), we will be looking at ₦8M profit? Bros, abeg be calming down. That kind ROI fit raise my ancestors from their grave… even Ponzi people go dey take notes 😆 See ehn, if maize dey pay like this, forget oil, even CBN go start farming. But for real sha… help me understand; I like the confidence and the structure and ambition sha… no lie … but make we balance am with small reality check. If na so e easy, banks go dey beg farmers with loan. So, talk to me like a partner & brother . Let be 100 percent real with ourselves.. |

DrDoc:Just to clear the air …. my message wasn’t to shut things down. I was simply being honest with you, and with myself. Like Warren Buffett once said, “Low expectations are the key to staying cautious and avoiding unrealistic desires in business.” That quote couldn’t be more relevant to this situation. I’m only trying to make sure that excitement doesn’t cloud my judgment or blind me to reality. If things truly play out exactly as you’ve planned, I’ll be the first to give you your flowers … But as someone who is seriously considering putting in money, it’s my duty to ask the right questions and ensure that the numbers hold up in the real world. So there are no hard feelings brother . just believe in doing things the right way …. with clear agreements, realistic expectations, and complete transparency on both ends . If we’re aligned on that, I’m definitely open to further discussions . That being said, I was genuinely just about to send your proposal to my lawyer. But on second thought, I chose to sit with it again and go through the details more carefully myself. You know how they say, “The man who wants to cross a river must first check the depth with both feet.” In matters like this… especially when money is involved… it’s wisdom to pause and look closely. Because, “Not all that glitters is gold” I believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt, but I also believe in due diligence. As much as I admire your drive and ambition, I still have to proceed with sense and caution. So I took my time, did the maths again, and tried to imagine how I’d even present this to my lawyer … that someone I came across on Nairaland is offering to turn ₦1.5 million into ₦8 million in one year. Let’s be honest …. put yourself in my shoes and think about how that sounds. It’s the kind of offer that will make anyone want to pause and ask questions . Again, I truly respect your vision, your confidence, and the groundwork you’ve laid out so far. But I also have a responsibility to be realistic and fully accountable for any decision I make on my end . |
