mex551:Rates are always higher in an economy plagued with high inflation. An economy with low inflation will have low interest rate. Here in Nigeria, about 4 or 5 years ago rate went down to as low as 4%. The underlying asset of all dollar funds is basically eurobonds. Norrenberger is a SEC regulated firm so everything is controlled and regulated. You can contact me I will send you the factsheet of the fund. |

FRANKLYex:Why send them an email when you could give a Call. Sending an email means it's not urgent to you else you call. And if calling, ensure it's a Business day and between the hours of 8am to 4pm |

Taal17:please make use of blueNet as that's the platform they are swirching to. Few days ago, someone called me complaining something. I opened both sites BUT their dashboards read different values for same account. Love the simplicity of stanbicibtcassetmanagement but it can give wrong values atimes. Just focus on the blueNet version |

mex551:The yield on bond depends on 2 things: 1- Inflation, 2 -Trust. Inflation — When a country inflation skyrocket, the currency of that country has lost value hence the government will need more money now to cater to it's expenses and funds projects. So they issue bond but they are also careful doing this so they don't add to the looming inflation, that's why rates aren't stable, goes up, comes down and back up again. Example of this type of country is our dear Obodo Nigeria. Trust — When you have a type of reserve currency or say your currency is strong enough as a medium of exchange to do bilateral or multelatrial businesses with countries or even other countries using your currency to trade. Your currency will gain trust hence storage value, and most people will naturally buy and keep bond with your currency because of the stability of your currency. When the country issues bond, the yield tends to be low because of all the aforementioned. However; the moment that currency begins to lose trust, "yield on bonds" will begin to spike. This is why Trump's tariff trade war is unsustainable in the long run. At the moment, Japan and china holds most US bonds and they are selling like crazy since the trade war, the U.S Dollar is losing the trust it once had as a reserve currency hence, the US bond yield went up. Stock market crashed. Trump had to quickly pause the tariffs on other countries for 90 days except China. |

Why is stanbic rate still relatively low. I’m just tired….🤦🏽♂️ |
| Re: Mutual Funds by bassdow: 3:54pm On May 06, 2025 |
Neurotika:some times are like that. It's same with other providers. Reason I maintain multiple providers. Rather than put 10-Million naira with a single provider e.g Stanbic, I could split it into 3 or 4 providers |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Neurotika: 6:08pm On May 06, 2025 |
bassdow:But you dilute your earning potentials that way. Putting everything with the highest returning fund maximizes your gains. Except other considerations are at play asides that. |

Good evening house. Please who is using ARM One mutual funds? Please share your experience with them. I sent money to Norrenberger MMF account this morning before 12 pm. They have yet to credit my balance. Please is this normal? |

10m in one asset management firm incures 1 management fee, but in 4 asset management firms of same product, same 10m incures 4 management fees bassdow: |

Batman2412:...but management fee is a percentage of earned interest on invested capital |
| Re: Mutual Funds by bassdow: 8:55pm On May 06, 2025 |
Bossgem:Might happen overNight. Be patient |
| Re: Mutual Funds by bassdow: 8:58pm On May 06, 2025 |
Neurotika:one can't always tell which provider has highest rate at any given time. Today might be Stanbic, tomorrow could be fbnQuest, next might be ARM, could even be Norrenberger. You really can't tell hence why I suggest using multiple providers. Also helps one have a sense of security so should anything ugly happen, at least you don't have all your eggs in one basket |
| Re: Mutual Funds by emmasoft(m): 11:18pm On May 06, 2025 |
Bossgem:If the money hits the account before noon, you will still have today's value and interest irrespective of the time of posting. |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Neurotika: 7:40am On May 07, 2025 |
bassdow:Stanbic has never had the highest rate in recent times tho. You can’t always predict the highest, you’re right, but you can see a pattern based on historical trends. Their rates have been trailing behind competitors by around 1-2%. That might not sound like much, but over 10 years? That tiny 1.4% gap means real money left on the table. And when you’re playing the long game, those ‘small’ differences add up fast. |
| Re: Mutual Funds by 1kinggy(m): 8:42am On May 07, 2025 |
bassdow:At least, maintain 2 managers. 3 is reasonable too. |

How do I know my interest is being re-invested. On my account statement, I have unrealized interest and Total realized interest. What do they mean? |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Care4: 8:27am On May 09, 2025 |
bassdow:For me, whatever investment/services, always maintain a minimum of 2 service providers. Where it is safe and reasonable to do, make it 3. |

| Re: Mutual Funds by Kumaverse: 12:51pm On May 09, 2025 |
Firebox123:Please can you explain more? My total contribution from inception is still the same with my initial investment plus a top-up I did. Although my interest is listed monthly in the app, I want to know if it is added to the initial investment for compounding interest. |
