A lot has been said about what President Ibrahim Traore of Burkina Faso is doing. So, I decided to travel over 40 hours by road from Nigeria. I documented my trip. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXyor8znQbU For one, the trip was very long and tiring but I persevered and got to Ouagadougou, the capital after two days. I went there because I wanted to see what the hype was about President Ibrahim Traore and Burkin Faso. The first thing I noticed is that the terrain of Burkina Faso is very similar to the terrain of Northern Nigeria. The country did not look that much developed but I noticed that a lot of thinga were been put in place by the Presodent. |

The man springs hope for every African man, woman, and child who have been denied sound leadership under the so called "democratic" rule. It appears to me that we are experts in bastardizing everything the white man handed over to us and democracy seems to be one of them. What I see in this man is rare. A man with such a mind and ideology will always attract stiff opposition and that is why his African counterparts hate him so much. It only goes to show that African leaders are modern day Pharaohs who rule with an iron fist. Such do not command the love and loyalty of their people. They wish they were the ones given the heroic treatment and organic love. Such love cannot be bought with money. That's why many public gatherings organized for the president are filled with hungry sycophants and paid praise singers who will not let Tinubu finish his written speech without interrupting every two minutes with "Na our papa be this o" chants. But a simple survey on the streets of Nigeria proves otherwise. You can't force people to love you. The people of Burkina Faso are currently the luckiest in Africa for having a young, vibrant, energetic, idealistic, intentional, and empathic leader. A type that is born once in every century. Nigerians should wake up and demand good leadership from her leaders both on the national and the local level. We've been taken for a ride for so long. |

The fairest way to judge Traore and Burkina Faso is to compare side by side the country pre 2022 and now. You have to have picture and video evidences, stats and indices for both periods in view. |
