Mine is the Uterus exactly where the embryo will be placed.my doctor has placed me on a strong antibiotics after draining it, but the fluid is still there and according to him it would drastically reduce the chances of the embryo to implant since that area isn't supposed to have fluid
Please, how did you solve this problem if you have?

Hello Superwomen

Whew! It's been almost 5 years since I last posted here ..I had to scroll waaaaay back just to catch up (my thumb deserves an award at this point), and I still have lots of updates to read. I’m so overjoyed seeing the miracle babies on my timeline... big congrats to the mamas 👩‍🍼. And to those still on the journey, may your testimonies come soon, amen!

As for me... I’m still TTC. Yup. After 5 failed IVFs and 3 IUIs, I had to take a mental health sabbatical (because girl, this TTC journey can humble even the strongest warriors). I needed time to heal, recalibrate, and remind myself that I’m more than just follicles and two-week waits.

So here I am at 37, returning like a TTC learner (even though I once knew more than my doctor 😂 blame it on Dr. Google). Diagnosed at 30 with low ovarian reserve and blocked tubes, and now I’m here wondering what’s left of the reserve grin. Probably just sipping zobo and refusing to ovulate. grin.

I have a few questions for you amazing people:

1. Can anyone recommend a solid hospital/clinic that handles low ovarian reserve cases really well? I’m ready to do some egg banking if this might take more than one cycle (my ovaries don’t believe in overachieving anymore).

2. Any tips on hospitals that offer affordable surrogacy options? My bank account needs to survive this TTC mission too.

3. I have recently been researching more on OVARIAN PRP apparently, it’s the Beyoncé of fertility treatments now. Lots of women are swearing by it, saying it boosts egg quality and even makes your ovaries do backflips. There is someplace in Lagos that offers it but they are quite expensive...And then there’s Red Light Therapy, not just for your face, but now your womb! Specifically the near-infrared 830–860nm kind (yes, I’ve gone back to Googling....forgive me). I am currently using this and I will encourage you to do so...its so good

Ladies, please let me know what you’ve heard, tried, or seen work. I’m here with an open mind, a hopeful heart, and just enough sarcasm to get through another cycle.

Much love and baby dust!

Hello dear ,

I can't just imagine what you might have gone through.

While seeking possible solutions to the low ovarian reserve , you can consider egg donation too .

I hope and pray you achieve success this time around .

Hello, every one.

Please, does anyone here know about a Dr Edi Osagie? He has a fertility clinic in the UK but does his surgeries/procedures in Lekki, Lagos state. I've searched him online but I'm not getting much info especially the name of the hospital in Lekki, his IVF price list in Naira and the success rate.
The UK price is exorbitant and not really affordable. I'd like to know if it's any better in Naira
I'd really appreciate it if anyone has any information or anything.

Thank you.

Thanks for your kind and thoughtful message

I was actually recommended the option of egg donation during my last IVF cycle, but there’s something deep within me that hasn’t fully embraced that path. I still have hope and a strong belief that my own eggs can make this journey possible. That’s why I’m considering trying multiple IVF cycles before exploring other options.

Sorry I didn't cycle in Nigeria. I took monthly Lupton shots for 3 months prior to my FET and had the endometrial scratch one week after my last Lupton shot. That's Approximately 2 weeks to the start of my medications.
Please can I dm you?

Good morning mummy in waiting.
Before you try ivf, have you been diagnosed with any gynaecological problems that may have resulted in not being successful?.Plus tests carried out on your partner?.
For Abuja there are so many centres and i can recommend;
Dr Onuh-Deda hospital
Dr Ese-Primecare hospital
Dr John-Jece hospital.

Assisted reproduction is never 100% guaranteed but the hospitals above go the extra mile and follow up.I choose them because of;

Their price range is between 800k to 2.5 m all inclusive. Also all three doctors worked in renowned centres before setting up their own practice.

Your treatment plan is clear and there are no hidden cost and they are blunt to the last dust hence better success rates.

My only success after so many trials both home and abroad even with my severe stage 4 endometriosis was the last one and our families have become friends.

You are on the right forum and am glad you have come and would receive lots of support here.Welcome and i pray your stay is not long.

Have a pleasant day.
I just underwent an IVF procedure, in which I did 3months of suppression of the endometriosis (on both ovaries) with zoladex and one month of birth control to trigger the period however no eggs were retrieved on my egg retrieval day. (Although the scan showed 5/6). Please what do you suggest?

The Zoladex must have suppressed your ovaries too much and perhaps you needed to have retrieved the eggs prior to suppressing with Zoladex or a higher dose of stimulation. Consider stimulating, retrieving, fertilising then freezing before down regulating with Zoladex and then transfer. All the best.

Hi mama, I had 2 failed ivf cycle because of this. fluid will need to be drained. Also you need to find out what is causing the excess fluid production and retention. In my case, I had issues caused by scar tissues from previous myomectomy and other procedures + I had polyps. I was also reacting to progynova (causing me to produce excess fluids) and the fluids weren't flowing out properly because of the scar tissues. I have 2 hysteroscopies ( to clear scar tissues and take out polyps) and a catheterization procedure before my last successful ivf.
Please can you PM me? Deborahtoyin@yahoo.com

Pls who has gone through Hysteroscopy?
Someone suggested I do it.

Greetings all.

I am new to this part of the platform and read through as far back as I can .

I am considering IVF and conflicted between Nordica and Bridge Clinic , Lagos.

I know success stories are particular to the each person but services defer.

I look forward to learning any help I can get.

Thank you.

Greetings to everyone
Please who has tried IVF with St Ives Ikoyi.
What’s their success rate and story.
Their Akowonjo branch is very far from me.

I want to try IVF for several reasons which reoccurence of adenomyosis is one of them.

I have read about success stories there. Infact, someone here that lives close to Ikeja branch had to go as far as Ikoyi branch to register for IVF. I can't remember her Monika. But you can search, you'll find her testimony.
All the best to you.

I can imagine what you've been through with those multiples failed cycles. It's well

While on the path to retrieving your eggs and freezing via multiple cycles, please also try to work on its quality also, because it declines with age. You may also want to consider using donor eggs.

Wishing you success in your endeavours, and baby dust to everyone.

BTW, you write so well smiley
