The FG simply added 40k for all federal workers regardless of grade level. So, while those on the lowest grade got about 90% increase, majority of federal workers got between 7% to 10% increase with some getting as low as 4% increase.

It was this tactic that made state governors quickly agree to pay the so called minimum wage because they know it shortchanged the workers.

Cost of living increased by over 600% on the average, but the government increase its workers salaries by less than 10% in real value and expects praises.

Bat is deceptive and cunning.

I earn more when 40k flat rate was added to our salary between September to December,but,in January,when they finished calculating the newly implemented minimum wage to all salary scale,my salary reduced by 3k... something by boss had told me before.

It is not possible to have earned more than the 40k flat rate, except you are in one of those FG agencies that pay themselves from thier own revenue.

Also, check your taxes and deductions, that might have accounted for the reduced salary...

Nothing was done like NYSC promise, that 4 sets passed without being paid, that has just been fulfilled. I have people in FG parastatals that have not implemented minimum wage. You can debunk my story with facts.

When your other obidient friend was lying through his teeth about consequential adjustment, I posted the circulars to silent him. He got the message and respected himself.

So you see, I don’t have anything to debunk to you as I won’t waste my time beating a dead horse. Sensible people have seen the truth and that’s my mission.

Please stop saying what you don't know. You claimed you work with the state government, and that your brother works with the FG. I think he is in better position to contribute meaningful or better still to refute what OP said. Stop arguing with the federal government workers.

Read what he said and understand better. He said he earned more when FG was adding a flat rate of N40k last year than now when the actual consequential adjustment has been implemented and the 40k flat rate stopped.

For most people including myself, that is the actual situation. The percentage of adjustment was not flat for everyone. Those in the lower cadre got very high percentage, those in the middle level got barely average percentage while those in the directorate cadre got very low percentage like 4% I think.

So, the 40k flat era was way better than the actual adjustment.
