You see, the US understood before MAGATS that subsidising world health allows it to in turn attract the best brains in the world to the country under the H1B visa program. If US did not do this, there will be no world-class research in the US.

The research that Trump thinks the US "owns" is created by the inventiveness mostly of foreignerss and recipients of the H1B program.

Imagine you guys leading the US into future. You guys are clowns surely taking the US on a rapid decline with no help from outside. You have no idea of anything at all.

How can you say you love greed because it fuels the economy & somehow blame the fact that wealthy manufacturers are moving labor abroad to get cheap labor on the opposing political party? No they’re leaving because how dare we tell them to treat their workers like humans? They will outsource labor to aliens in space if it means cheaper costs. And he will be right there cheering on the good old greed.

Labor can be performed in America. You just have pay the workers American wages which will eat into the manufacturers’ profits.
We don’t have universal healthcare. So the employer would have to provide healthcare.
They’d have to be given leave and sick time as needed.
What about maternity leave? We can’t have that because we didn’t force anyone to have babies (insert side eye)
What about safety regulations?

All of these are things he’s against because it “stifles manufacturing”. Yet in the same breath he wants manufacturing to be brought back to the US. How does one reconcile that thought process?

The major way to bring back manufacturing is to reward those who manufacture in America. And provide a way for their products to be similarly priced with the foreign products

End buyers will buy what is cheaper, Chinese goods for example will be cheaper, what internal industrial policy will US create that will compete with 75cents per hour paid in China? What will compete with 8yr olds assembling iPhone in China, what internal policy will make US ignore safety concerns like they do in China to stay competitive?

The only way to help local manufacturers is to ensure that Chinese goods and American goods are similarly priced

By placing those tariff on the imported goods you make American manufactured goods competitive which is why the United Auto leader hailed the move

My understanding of the presidential jet is that Boeing was paid in 2018 to deliver 2 jets ,deliveet for 2024 but will do it on 2027 .
Is he not spiting Boeing ,by giving them the 6th generation fighter jet order but can't deliver a 747 . They are not designing a new aiframe like for the F-47, they have all the details to the diameter of every bolt,nut and bearing.

Ex. How does cutting off funding to Top Research Universities/Institutions help/hurt the US in a decade.
