You are still at the realm of consideration. Anyway, make hay while the sun shines. Brazil is a nice and chilled country, I have been enjoying my stay here since I arrived. Their educational standard is very high. Glocal1: |

Hopefully, within this June. Focus more on applying to schools direct, GCUB took less than 40 Nigerians last year, but more people got admission and scholarship through application to schools direct. Dadzynomolara: |

GCUB 4th edition is officially out today. Start applying. Hint: go through the list for the last 2 editions, look at schools that gave scholarships to people that applied to same program as your, use that to select your 5 schools. Unicamp and University of são Paulo are highly competitive, look for other good universities you will stand better chances.

The Truth about the STUDY FREE IN BRAZIL scholarship program : Dear readers ...I understand that your were give the following information : * The Government is responsible for school fees * The Government is responsible for accommodation * The Government gives 300usd monthly for upkeep * A serious student should focus on reading 😁 and make his/her family proud with first class, * If you do not understand what we are discussing since . This can make it easier * Brazil Education Scholarship. Free Education for Nigerians * Students go through a 6 month online Portuguese class course * Names of students who attended the classes are sent to the embassy * The embassy contacts the students directly via the email address provided to continue the process * Scholarship and admission is granted to the student and names published publicly * Student pays N140k to the embassy and submit all documentations * Embassy issues visa * Students travel to Brazil and go through a 1-2 week Portugese refresher course( not always) * Students write Portuguese exams in Brazil and are fully admitted . * Students who fail will remain in Brazil at their own costs and wait till the next exam * Admitted students are given a stipend monthly by the Brazilian Government This is totally false and not the reality....as a victim I will tell you all that happened. 1. The name of the scholarship program is GCUB by the Brazilian government 2. The six months language training is a scam and does not give you an advantage into getting the scholarship 3. The scholarship is open to public and application is done by individuals directly with the Brazilian embassy. 4. Successful candidate are invited directly and not through any affiliate or agency. I urge the public not be scammed into paying for any language training that is designed to extort you without any usefulness. The name of the school that defrauded me by giving me false information to get money from me is cadril travel and tours.. Help spread this so others won't be defrauded because they are moving fast on innocent victims

Under the GCUB,,Are all the masters and Phd programs taught in Portuguese ONLY? |
| Re: Study In Brazil: Admissions And Visa Procedures by MrNovo: 9:49am On Jun 11, 2025 |
Ifenna247:Sorry about this, next time always do some finding on your own before engaging anyone's assistance. If you did you would have realised some mix up in the information the agent was presenting to you. Most of what you wrote up there "sounds like" the PECG scholarship program which is for undergraduate and in line with your mention of first class. It's not the GCUB which you say it is because that's a Masters and PhD scholarship program while it is taught in Portuguese language it is not as strict as PECG in insisting you have Portuguese proficiency at the admission stage. GCUB stipend is 2100 Reis and above. Once you get your award letter you don't need any assistance for your visa which is expedited since the embassy already has your name and expecting your application. I know there is a genuine organisation in Lagos doing Celpibras language training majorly for people intending to pursue undergraduate studies in Brazil. |
| Re: Study In Brazil: Admissions And Visa Procedures by MrNovo: 9:54am On Jun 11, 2025 |
Pesb:Yes, as clearly stated in the GCUB call , you will be expected to proof your Portuguese proficiency before completion of your studies and degree award. But there are some exceptions, which you can spot if you read the spreadsheet for courses and schools. There is a column specifying language requirements. Read and understand what it's saying. |

How much can one budget for everything if one should get the GCUB? |
| Re: Study In Brazil: Admissions And Visa Procedures by MrNovo: 7:01pm On Jun 13, 2025 |
Dadzynomolara:Less than N5m if you are travelling alone. However like they did for the 3rd edition recipients, if they pay for flight that will reimburse more than N2m of your cost. |

People should avoid waiting till July to submit their application. The GCUB platform is already experiencing massive congestion which might lead you to mistakenly submit twice which is an automatic disqualification. In case you click send and the page goes blank so you are not sure if you have submitted, don't hit " reload", give it some time, check your email thoroughly if you received a message from GCUB in which case it means you have successfully submitted and don't need to reload your screen or hit the back button and send again. |
