Killer beans of the 1990s has morphed into killer rice 30 years later.

Unless the rice was physically poisoned, even if the rice was owned by the devil himself, eating it will do nothing to you.

It's sad that Africa has still not progressed from it's primordial ways and prehistoric mindsets despite the times that we are in.

Really sad.

Be like someone wants to artificially crash the price of rice.... grin

it cannot work.... Nigerians wey dey chop rice wey get sand, stones,
Rather than crash the price, I CAN confirm to you that the panic has led to hoarding and prices have gone up astronomically.

Market update.

This is a very serious matter.
It was stated that the owner of the bags of rice, a woman, contacted some Ogun worshipers in Ghana to lay curses on whoever buys or consumes the alleged stolen rice.

Is this what is scaring you?

Did anybody mention the rice brand?
Did anyone mention the name of the so called woman?
How will Ogun start killing every rice eater?

Buy your rice and eat jore! Just make use you don't steal the rice.

If true that she lay curses on the rice, it is only the person that stole the rice from her directly that can be affected..

I thought I'm the only one seeing that.

Why should FG completely shut the import market thereby forcing us to eat substandard rice.? Very funny these rice farmers are catching cruise but a time will come when their Shakara will end.

Wicked farmers!

A bloody and poorly organized lie.

So two trucks of rice, with each truck loading 300 bags totalling 600 bags that passed the porous borders, have become enough to kill millions of people. Illiteracy should not be as bad as this. Why not share the pictures of the bodies all over the border area. Why not show the pictures of the Ghana woman? Nonsense people.

Sadly, some people have been circulating such wrong information. Those who do not have enough to eat will not have anymore. Rice is the biggest meal for all Nigerians.

Well we have Abakaliki rice. We have rice in Imota. We have rice in Kebbi. We also have imported rice from all over Asia. Eat as you like and forget the yeye people circulating wrong information. This definitely must be a calculated move by some rice sellers to force the price up.
the rumor is definitely going to be sponsored by those rice farmers to discourage people from buying foreign rice and also push federal govt to ban rice importation

What sort of camera is your friend using abi poverty don pai your friend.

Killermamba:
One of my friend just sent me this like 1 hour ago, she bought the rice to cook for her kids to take to school this morning only to discover the rice has turned blue. The rumour may be true but it's nothing spiritual, the discolouration is as a result of a chemical reaction. My conclusion is that the rice has been preserved with a deadly pesticides or it was deliberately laced to kill people.

For a commodity like rice..that's exactly what will happen...sellers will hoard their goods till the noise goes down, creating artificial scarcity

Help me reason .... two trucks of rice were stolen from this nameless woman. Does it make sense for her to put a curse on who eat the rice? .....or to who stole the rice? And why is Customs making statement on this? ... shouldn't it come from the health department?....or is it they stole the rice?

So why then did you say they wanted to crash the price.?

Truth is, commodities like rice have a way of rubbishing economic theories especially in Nigeria.
