Mine still says 2-8weeks, (as at yesterday when I was prompted to log in and "continue with my application"wink and this is my 8th week. 🤷🏾‍♀️
It means you registered before March

When did you submit your application to join the waitlist?. I mean the date

It's not consistent. The system automatically updates the waiting time based on registrations and how many applications have been processed. This same week, it was showing 2 to 6 months. There was a time last month when it was 6 to 12 months too, but went back to 2 to 6 months
Hey Hannania, I noticed this on my portal, initially it was 2-8 weeks when I joined the waiting list, and now it's 2-6 months. I'm already in my 8th week, isn't the waiting time supposed to be decreasing instead of increasing huh huh

Are you saying that you were on the waitlist and you finally received the email to submit your application?
If this is the case what date did you join the waitlist?

The system automatically adjusts it based on how many applications the embassy has processed, and the number of new allocations made daily.

It's the same thing all round the world

It's 11k euros, you will pay it into a deposit account in Germany. Then when you get into the country, you can withdraw only 900 euros monthly for your upkeep.
They do it to make sure you can fend for your self for one year atleast.
€13k euros bro, not €11k. In fact, 13,092 euros, excluding bank charges.

Also withdrawal amount is a little over 1k euros, not 900 euros.

please is it possible to fund expatrio with dollars. my friend is looking for the option of changing currency to dollar on expatrio so that he can fund his block account but he can't see it
Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by chunkuli: 11:17pm On May 10, 2025
Can the block account be for 6months? that is half of the 13,092 euro. Will this fly?
Also I do not currently have my primary certificate and the block account, can I upload any document just to get on the waiting list while I try to get them ready before I get invitation for preliminary review?

I think this has been the most recent practice. IMO, I can't pass this to be best but sure a smart practice.

Hey guys, I'm currently going through the preliminary review and they keep asking for transcript. I had first submitted a student copy and they asked for my certificate which I submitted. Now, they're asking for academic transcript. Please what exact document are they looking for?

Combine both your transcript and your certificate into a single document and upload that

Do as Ziggy said, combine the academic transcripts and your certificates in a single document.

By the way, did you do ZAB evaluation or is your school and course already recognized on Anabin?

Hello Guys I’ve been researching this chance latte and I want to ask for an opinion on this dilenma I’m in :
I just graduated from university of Lagos with a Bachelor of Arts in English. But since I was in school I decided I wanted to go into tech, I have a 1 year fellowship certificate for learning Ui/ux design as well as another 3 months certificate from an online degree, I can’t really submit proof of work for up to 2 years cause I’ve mainly Done volunteer work(I can decide to turn that into experience tho) but still it’s not up to 2 years. And I know if if use only my degree for this chancenkarte. I’ll probably have to look for a job in the education route, I have obtained b2 certificate in German before, I’ll just need to resit the exam because I think the certificate has been over 2 years. Does anyone have any advice on how I can apply for this chancenkarte to go there and work in tech. I’d deeply appreciate your help and advice.

I think someone mentioned the possibility of this before, although it generated some arguments.

Goethe certificates don't expire, so I doubt the embassy would require you to resit the B2 just for Chancenkarte (kindly correct me if you have contrary or up to date information on this).

My school and course is already recognized on Anabin. Thanks Ziggy. Combining the files worked.

Yes, I got an appointment date for the 28th of this month.

I need help with getting a health insurance policy. Do you have any ideas how I can go about that?

Hi namesake, if you used Expatrio, they have a full package that comes with health insurance.

Okay, I mean for someone who has a BTech in Computer science and a Master of Information Technology, when you search under the 'degree' tab on Anabin, the results are Bsc in Computer science, B.ed in Computer science, no BTech in Computer science but there's a Btech in Microbiology.

If you search under degree type tab, BTech is recognised.

Can Anabin be used? Is there any need to do ZAB again?
Please don't waste money on ZAB. B. Tech is equivalent to a university degree in Germany. And if your university is H+, you are good. Just print those proof. You don't have to see your specific course there.

Read the last part of my screenshot.
