please how soon can one increase salary and re apply after refusal because the exchange rate has destroyed a previously good salary
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by aragbaboy: 8:35am On May 16, 2025
Thanks, I have more than 3 months payslips for both me and my wife.

giselle237:
Personally I would not do this.
Especially if you are a student or on psw. But this is just me.
If you want to give 1 month bank statement then give minimum of 3 months payslips. Again I won’t personally do this especially if your mom has no travel history. Shows struggle finances for both applicant and sponsor…

Unfortunately, this is why you or them will still be refused.
Your circumstances have not changed + the profile was made up!

A 1 month bank statement from you the sponsor maybe insufficient for her application . In experience, landlords and financial institutions also find it unacceptable, especially if there are large deposits within that month. Try and increase it. While you may hope for luck, it's risky to gamble with her immigration history; a single denial can lead to more downhill.

This has happened to me before with Air France and they boarded me.

My visa start date was the following day, whereas I was to depart at 11pm or thereabout.

Using these your dates for example. My Schengen France visa starts on the 27th, but I booked AF flight scheduled for takeoff around 11pm on the 26th.

Air France boarded me. But I recall I got in touch with them earlier and received confirmation that they'll board me. Some Naija immigration I sought their opinion earlier wanted to use that opportunity to extort me but I later ignored them.

Now, AF may exercise some discretion and flexibility because they are the national carrier of their country,my destination and may be able to easily sort things out.

So you have to ensure you get multiple confirmation from Qatar. Both their customer care and directly from their Airport desk.

All those Emirates, Qatar, Turkish, MAROC... Those guys sometimes do not treat us with respect and dignity. Emirates almost made me miss my connecting flight from Dubai to Paris on one occasion when they were analysing my visa over and over saying it looks fake. I just stood there watching all their antics with amusement wondering if someone who is not the issuing authority can validly declare a visa as fake.
I just left the Qatar Airways office and they called their check-in desk at the airport and they said there wouldn't be any issues boarding me since I will be entering the UK when my visa is valid that's the most important aspect.

Thanks everyone for your help.

They will most likely not let you board. You can depart from 27th and not before.

Cashmadam:
Most likely. Your trip to UK via Doha is based on your valid visa.

Since the visa is not valid till 27th, Qatar Airways might not permit you to travel to Doha.

Best you change your travel date. What were you thinking?

Guys what's your opinion please?
Mattycoke:
Greetings everyone, I'm applying for a 7 day visit visa. I earn 500k monthly and monthly expenses is 50k as my husband fully supports the household expenses.

My question is with the high price of flight tickets can I still be within 2 months salary budget that's 900k for my 7 days trip.

Hostel £105
A week Bus pass £25
Feeding for a week 90

That's £220 excluding flight ticket.

Please everyone advise how I can stay within 2 month budgets.

Hello Gurus,
My UK Visa appointment is next week Thursday, can I print my bank statement with this week date or the date of the appointment?

Also I am salary earner, but I won’t be funding my trip from my salary account as I have funds in my dollars account from other freelance jobs, I stated this one my self cover letter and I will be including the payment invoices for the earnings, does this work?

Thanks

Good day All,
Please if like to know if anyone has been able to book an appointment at the Enugu or Port Harcourt centre since they opened their VFS office. It hasn't been updated on the VFS site and I can't get anymore information regarding these centers.
Thank you

You can print the statement any day before the appointment.

I would strongly advise you to include the statement of your salary account and payslips.

It is likely the visa officer will focus more on your earnings from your 9 to 5 job - rather than your side hustle. So, keep that in mind.

Please, how does someone fill a form for a baby under 2years. Is it the same process as an adult.
I want to apply for a visit visa with my baby and my husband will be the sponsor (he’s not accompanying us).
