ThothHermes:You're welcome. Yeah, I am, but it has not been easy lately i must say. The soft bookies are slamming their doors brutally against profitable traders. Beating the winners are welcomed sharps and exchanges is not easy, it is like life in the lion's den. |

All these strategies will fail if you are an impulsive person. You will not stick to a strategy and will suddenly and desperately chase your loses while losing more and more. Gambling is not for everyone, know this and know peace. |

oheez:That's an undeniable FACT and one of the reasons I won't recommend sports betting be it value or arbitrage to anyone. I have had unbelievable losing and winning runs. I once had a total loss of over $1k in just 2 days (Sat-Sun). There have been cases of people losing 60% of their bankroll even while value betting. Some were even saying it would have been better if they had bet the opposite of what the value betting scanner was suggesting. Imagine an impulsive person in such a scenario. |

Reneekloe:The main issue is not about the subscription cost, it is about getting betting accounts to place your bets. I don't use local bookies, I use only bet365 due to their generous odds and reliability. With enough Bet365 accounts, I can pay the subscription myself. |

Sapeleboy911:Good day. Please how long does it take you to do a driver's license? When I went to the revenue office,I was told I can only get the plastic in 3-4 months time. Can one use the paper id for bet365 verification. |
| Re: My Journey Into The Cruel And Challenging World Of Sports Betting by Sapeleboy911(op): 2:31pm On May 14, 2025 |
Kayonline007:I don't think you can, many bookies don't accept the paper ID, though you can give it a try. I paid for a driver's license for a friend, around May last year till date, he is yet to get the plastic ID. That's the Nigerian factor for you. |

Sapeleboy911:Thanks for your response. How then do you verify your new bet365 account when your previous one is restricted cos I know the driver's license is very necessary to that end. |

Kayonline007:I used the old national ID cards issued in 2003. I paid others to use theirs. Unfortunately, you are no longer awarded the $30 sing up bonus when you register with these ID cards. Better still, you can use an international passport. The 2 I processed for my friends were ready in 3 months. |

Sapeleboy911:Good day boss, please which site can I see arbitrage opportunities most especially with local bookies? thanks |
| Re: My Journey Into The Cruel And Challenging World Of Sports Betting by Sapeleboy911(op): 8:07pm On Jun 11, 2025 |
Ovii123:For local bookies. sportybet, beking, betano, nairabet: Among these bookies, Sportybet has the best odds, although their accounts don't last long. 1xbet & and her look alike 22bet, konfambet, betwinner, melbet, wazobet, mostbet, msport, etc. There are lots of 1xbet lookalikes and they have lots of arbing opportunities. But be warned withdrawing your funds from these sets of bookies can be very difficult and problematic, they can be very shady most times. They normally restrict your accounts by reducing your odds. For scanners, breaking-bet remains one of the cheapest. |

@sapeleboy911, I just verified my bet365 account, how do I fund it? Can I use Skrill? How do you find yours? |
| Re: My Journey Into The Cruel And Challenging World Of Sports Betting by Sapeleboy911(op): 9:57pm On Jun 12, 2025 |
Ganjafama:Yes, you can fund it with Skrill. Currently, I use Astropay, due to their ease of deposit and withdrawal directly from your Nigeria bank account. Though I'm about to switch to Skrill due to the exorbitant charges, and the low exchange rate of Astropay. On a side note, ensure you have a solid strategy before wasting expensive $$ on a foreign bookie. |

Sapeleboy911:Thanks for your response. Honestly, I have no clear-cut strategy other than trying to play safe by accumulating a maximum of 3 games to get 2 odd on a daily basis. I am open to suggestions from you, though. Btw, you are my fellow saferian o. 😀😀 |

I have a little problem. Just joined the betting industry 4 weeks ago and not a football fan but financial hardship draws me to this money-making avenue. I was told that since I know nothing about betting, I can use a tipster or what do you call those that sell codes. Well, I did a couple of days ago after I realized that the terminologies in and functionalities of a betting app are vague limiting my betting plan and winnings so I bought two coupons. As soon as I entered them and clicked on 'confirm bet', I saw 'auto cash-out'. Even after reading the meaning on the app's 'how to play' prompt page, still I didn't understand until after I tapped on one leaving the other and realized 96% of my stake was returned and an alert that that bet has been settled was sent. I asked "settled?" So I won't receive the high return promised? . I had to read the meaning of all their cash-outs before a match ends, over and over again before I grasped the intent behind it. Okay, I waited for the other coupon I bought to generate the real reward. It contained over 8 matches. 3 won, 4 yet to play, and one showed 'X' meaning 'wrong assumption. Few minutes later, my betting company sent a message that I have lost my stake. This got me confused? Not all the matches have finished so I contacted the coupon seller, he didn't reply me then contacted the customer care team of my betting app and told me I selected too many matches to bet on as a beginner and the rule backing that category is if one match score is assumed wrongly, the whole stake will be lost😲🥴. So my stake + the coupon= 1500 that was what I lost. What if I had paid 15k for the coupon and staked 30k? Imagine such a loss in Nigeria of today. Later, one of the tipsters I contacted replied yesterday that he doesn't collect pre-payment of soccer betting codes but I will pay him 40% of what I win. This sounds too good to be true. Can Nigerians be this charitable? I am not comfortable with this. Will he send a dubious code that will clear my account balance or what is his implicit gain? I want seasoned betters to tell me if such contract is safe to agree on and 2. I think I need someone that will take me on a recorded video training to understand the terminologies of betting, reading statistical FORECASTS and how to navigate my betting app for best wins at an affordable cost. I will like to have a mentor and if his/her service charge is okay, no p. Thanks |

Never pay for a tipster or a so-called prediction expert. And since you are new to gambling I recommend you quit now, because it will only make your financial state worse. You can only make money from betting by one of matched betting, value betting, or arbitrage. Any thing outside this will wreck your finances, believe you me. |
| Re: My Journey Into The Cruel And Challenging World Of Sports Betting by Oluseun234: 12:52am On Jul 01, 2025 |
You are very right. The recommend tipster is a scammer. And I will post his profile here so all can see. Okay I guess this former classmate works for him cos both are now offline. This just happened now. Oh God na financial poverty cause all this. He said he offers fixed match odds for 5k but I told him my earlier ordeal of getting rubbish codes for 1k while another tipster sent me a code for free that got back my staked 100naira and additional 250 but told me that because I staked low that is why I didn't recover the 1000 naira used to buy what he called 'rubbish ticket (the over 8 Matches that the 1st wrong assumed score led to me losing my stake). However he said since I had confirmed his free code which obviously turned in my favour, I should proceed with 15k payment to buy VIP sure bet. But I am a newbie and find this too high to invest with. With no seasoned better in my vicinity or that I really know to confirm whether to actually use his services or not, I decided to rather go for the recommended 'Home Gold' run by a Mr David and his cohort. After sending him how I used the services of an unreliable tipster and asking for a discounted charge to first test his own soccer codes, he said I could pay 3k naira to first build trust and that payment was for an afternoon fixed match odds. Okay, "send your account details". He didn't until 9pm I think; sending the account details of another person, claiming he is one of his admin staff for his WhatsApp group as his own account has issues. I began to feel hesitant but he told me to hasten up so I can get the code for evening session. I sent the 3k through a house relative that uses one of these fast fintech bank accounts and told him the 3k had been sent. He later said via voice note "you sent 3k? No it should be 5k". I told him we both agreed to 3k in the afternoon but he was not available on time to send his account details. He said because I am a newcomer, each charge pasted is for a particular subscription so that one had passed. That he too gets the codes from another agent so he has to realize some profits and that one was a sure bet. Well I didn't mind so far it yields high earnings so I first increased my deposit to 2k then asked this person to send him additional 2k to make up his expected 5k for the evening code to the beneficiary account he sent to me which I will post here so no one else falls victim. Heeeee within a week of joining this betting industry, due to ignorance, I have lost like 8k to these useless tipsters/scammers. This happened not quite long uhmmm.... Okay.... So he called me on Whatsapp after I made the deposit to ask how long ago I subscribed to my betting app. I told him like 4 weeks ago. He said okay, he would like to introduce me to a secret package that only his family members are aware of. That it is called football adder offered by football.com. That he would send me a video of a deal with someone he helped so after listening to the video, I should tell him whether or not to proceed with such getaway gift to boost my account balance. So I received this video between a customer and one Mr Sunday who according to the sample video, is the football manager for winning the adder on football.com. The minimum to send to said football manager is 6k naira to get 400000k naira in your betting app account and 30% of that is to go to this tipster's account details he provides to you. Now I want you all to take note: Having being duped even before I joined the betting industry over something else, I began to suspect this guy is a fraudster which I raised with the following with him: 1) when you have such a robust offer in the first place, having read my previous plight with a tipster, why didn't you throw this offer before suggesting your sure bet code cos he gave that he just felt to help me out after listening about my financial hardship and the plea to slash down his code charge. That betting is a 50:50 chance and this 5k code may not turn in my favour but that the adder package will not only boost my app account balance but I can immediately withdraw 150k and send 30% of the 400k generated from the minimum amount of 6k to the football manager in football.com or if I can't register, he could help me if I could just send the 6k to him with solid trust. *I have not even seen the outcome of the 5k code o* I thanked him for this offer and raised my concerns: I just knew him. I haven't even tested the so-called fixed match odds he claimed were correct scores so let me see how that turns out. He went ahead to send an array of voice notes that I should consider the adder promo. That it has an expiry date and not always available all year round; Just comes once in a blue moon for new subscribers on betting APPS. He only even shared this fabulous offer with only his sister this year and has cashed out so I shouldn't let this opportunity slip my fingers. At this point, I knew I have been scammed so I told him that if he had genuine intentions to help struggling Nigerians why did he first deceive me with "okay, pay 3k" then to "5k now for a bundle of evening matches. The 3k one was only for afternoon matches and that had gone. Now, I want you to pay 6k to get 400k added cos this is the most reliable return on investment?" I told him this is not a charitable offer on his part so he should proceed to send me the sure code he promised me. He instantly sent a voice note that he is regretting suggesting this offer and _what he didn't mention earlier_ that : if this fixed match odds ticket fails me, there is a refund or an extra code for me to recover the loss. I should trust him cos he too has posted a scammer package on his WhatsApp business page. He also posts daily religious quotes for his WhatsApp group members to never give up on betting and put God first (I guess this is for newbies to assume he is a god-fearing tipster😠smhv). He also sent that 'he would have helped me pay for the 6k adder package because he also needed the 30% (is it commission fee cos he sounds quick and dull perhaps so you don't register his real voice) but his bank account has issues but when I told him that the bank USSD code I use only accepts Opay and Palmpay, he was able to send an Opay account 🤨. I told him curtly that I don't do business this way after just deceived earlier on by a tipster. In my mind, I asked "you trust me to send 30%. A Nigerian will trust another Nigerian to send his share of his 'charitable offer? 🤨. Ordinary Jiji that even stated that no buyer should pay for any goods before delivery yet no matter the promises you make and knowing you are the one at a higher risk of not receiving your paid goods, Jiji sellers do not even agree to a down payment while you can pay the rest after delivery so I asked in me "you want to help me win 400k with the trust that I will give you two your 30% share". I just knew I have been scammed already. I told him I need to see the code and sent a screenshot of the free one that successfully returned my initial #100 stake loss and told him that if he sells genuine codes, we should start off with that or to bust his dubious schemes. He then repeatedly sent another 3 voice notes that he is not a scammer; that I am paranoid here. Fixed match odds are not quickly generated so I have to wait for the platform he too gets these codes to generate them and he would send me the one I paid for (giving no specific time). That I should trust him. I can see screenshots of testimonies on his admin account; an account you cannot even drop a message on but can only react with an emoji. And I remembered quite well. He said "quickly pay 5k for the evening bundle (yesterday's own) before it expires". Okay I waited until 11:15pm because 12am starts a new day cos I didn't pay for a new day code and asked angrily "oga, pls what exactly did I pay for? I thought codes are sent instantly? Perhaps you should refund me. I am no longer interested but my messages didn't show the 'double mark'. He has either blocked me or went offline. So another 5k gone!! Then subsequent tipsters from his admin account send me messages asking if I need sure bet codes and I see they are all coming from the same source which I replied that their 'David' has and I have saved his profile to expose them. So Nigerians joining this betting industry, pls beware! Avoid contacting random tipsters on Facebook or YouTube or TIKTOK or here on Nairaland even if they post religious quotes and proof of winnings from their so called 'new clients'. Thanks Screenshots of the fraudster's WhatsApp profile pages.

Hello Guys, I need a seasoned better or a sporty bet user to answer this question or if you have sound knowledge of 2UP payout terms and conditions governing multiple bet system or also known as accumulator system. First I would like to ask if you assign '2UP' OPTION to 'Away' team as well? 2. If you select 9 matches in a multiple bet system/category and 5 of them are programmed '2UP' by you i.e by its meaning, the selected team must lead by 2 goals difference for you to get a pay-out. On the contrary, the remaining 4 matches, you pick under 1.5 or Zero or draw for either four respectively. In short, you didn't choose 2UP for the other four matches (full time, no overtime nor penalty) Let's say you won all the 2UP matches (full time, no over-time/penalty) but failed the picks or guesses for the other non-2UP matches in that multiple bet system, will you still get paid that way for the all the 2UP matches you guessed right only or will still lose all your stake? I will post a screenshot for better understanding but assume all 2UP matches were guessed correctly but the non-2UP selections eventually turned out wrong. Thanks
|
| Re: My Journey Into The Cruel And Challenging World Of Sports Betting by Sapeleboy911(op): 5:10pm On Jul 18, 2025 |
Oluseun234:First yes you can pick the away team in a 2UP offer. As for an accumulator/multiple bet, all your prediction needs to come in for your slip to be settled as WON except you ticked the flexi option which in turn will reduce the overall odds of your accumulator. |

@MR SAPELEBOY 911 Thank you sir for your narrative and speedy response to our enquires. I cannot thank you enough!! You are amazing! This was what I asked SportyBet HelpDesk Lady (a Camilla) but was just beating around the bush for good 20 minutes leaving me confused. I wish to meet someone like you physically that can take me through the basics and intermediate stage of football betting cos its really limiting my progress and losing money due to ignorance. Like I once mentioned, I AM NOT A FOOTBALL LOVER NOR A SEASONED BETTER AND MY ENGAGEMENT IN THIS SIDE-HUSTLE HAS BEEN TURBULENT SINCE LAST MONTH. However I took my time to read Mr. Sapele Boy's Betting Journey and Lessons Learned to proceed with much caution. If not for financial problems, what am I doing with this confusing occupation but I see that if luck is on your side, it can really stand as emergency funds. We all know that due to our current economic recession, nobody is ready to assist you financially for a long time. You mentioned to me that Value & Matched Betting are more reliable and profitable but I have no idea how to win in those categories and the capital to even start not to talk of navigating the system like a pro. So I am learning little by little and so far has had a total of 4 losses 3 winnings from predictions I could get but now luck is not on my side but I am betting with a very small amount of money not up to 3000 naira. If I didn't come across MR SAPELE BOY'S STORY HERE, WHALAI, TRIGGERED BY THESE SPORTYBET TIPSTERS, I WOULD HAVE FOOLISHLY KICKED OFF WITH 20K AND END UP IN A HOSPITAL. MANY THANKS SIR FOR YOUR HONEST REPLIES 🙏❤️🙂 |

@MR SAPELE BOY911 Hello sir, trust your week is going on fine? Sir, can you please explain in lay man's English using illustrative examples the meaning of point spread betting/what is also known as Asian Handicap? Sir, I don't understand the conditions that should be met for favorite vs underdog in a point spread bet or so. For instance, I read that if Favorite is assigned e.g -0.5/_1.5 while underdog is allotted +0.5/+1.5, favorite must score above 0.5 but since there is a minus sign beside 0.5, I thought the format for winning such a bet should be favorite scoring less than 1.5 in point spread betting then state underdog must lose how many points or win outright and yet it is assigned a + sign? This is so confusing. Pls sir I need you to simply this point spread betting using scenarios to determine how this point spread category works in calculating your win or loss As for banker bet, out of 4 selections, I was sure of two that would win so clicked on 'rebet' then turned on the 'banker bet' icon but rather just allow me choose the matches I would like to re-bet on, a drop down page was generated stating singles, doubles and trebles with an entry box beside each of them to enter the amount I wanted to stake but because I don't know SINGLES, DOUBLES & TREBLES I didn't finally activate the banker bet. Sir in your narrative about lay bet vs back bet, you told someone that if a back better staked 100 dollars or so and didn't win his/her assumption, the money goes to you but if the back better gets his/her odds football selection right, the winning would be 110 dollars so are you trying to imply that it pays more to engage in back betting than in lay betting? I will be looking forward to your reply sir. Kind regards |
