Tinubu & Gov Eno For Second Term, Me For Senate, No Party In Akwa Ibom - Akpabio by fergie001(mod): 7:51pm On May 16, 2025
The Senate President, Godwill Akpabio, in Akwa Ibom State on Friday, said that there will be no political party in the state come the 2027 general election.

This is as he stated that the Peoples Democratic Party’s umbrella has been torn into shreds and can no longer protect the people.

Akpabio, who represents Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District at the Red Chamber, said during his midterm empowerment briefing held at Ikot Ekpene township stadium.

A total of 1,690 were empowered with items ranging from minibuses, passenger tricycles, danfo tricycles, cassava processing machines, generating sets and cookers and others.

Akpabio said, “As I speak with you, there is nothing like a political party in 2027 in Akwa Ibom State again. For the Senate of Ikot-Ekpene Senatorial District, all political parties have collapsed to vote for Senator Godswill Akpabio. For the office of the governor in 2027, all political parties have agreed to vote for Governor Umo Eno. Akwa Ibom has moved to vote for President Bola Tinubu, Eno for governor of Akwa Ibom State, and Senator Akpabio for Senate.

“The Peoples Democratic Party is in shreds and the umbrella can no longer protect.”

The Senate President described incumbent governor Umo Eno as a man of peace and one who professes God in his heart, adding that there are people who profess God with their lips and not their hearts.

“Umo Eno is a man of peace. Umo Eno is a man of God. I’m not talking about those who professed God with their lips. I’m talking of those who practice God in their heart. Umo Eno has brought all of us together,” Akpabio said.

The senate president appreciated his wife, Unoma Akpabio, whom he noted has been empowering the people for the sake of recalling that each time he called his wife, she was either doing one empowerment or the other.

“She does it because she knows hunger has no political party. My wife, please feed my people whether I am around or not. Keep on sharing. Akwa Ibom people will show you love soon.” The Senate President further stated.

Items distributed during the empowerment include 30 minibuses,67 passenger tricycles, cassava processing machines 50, 347 Deep Freezers, 247 generating sets, truckloads of 50 kg bags of rice, cash grants, and others.

The Senate President, who proceeded from the empowerment ground to commissioning other life-touching projects in his constituency, said about 68 projects have been lined up for commissioning between Friday, 16 and Thursday, May 17, 2025.

Earlier, in his welcome address, the chairman of Essien Udim Local Government, while welcoming people to the empowerment, commended the Senate president for his commitment towards empowering his people. He said even right from Akpabio’s days as commissioner, governor, and now Senate President, Akpabio has remained committed to his people.

And the so called strong Wike is busy destroying his own state. I keep telling people that Akpabio is 20x wiser than Wike. If you follow the recent happenings, you'd understand why. Akpabio is a wise man despite his short coming.

Our Democracy will get worse without opposition.
Politicians will not longer fear reelection.

PDP is bastardized. We seriously need a coalition to birth another strong opposition Party.

This is saddening

Let's amend the electoral reform Bill, then we will know if how good this your plan will work.
It will get to a stage where Nigerians will sue the senate asking the court to compare them to amend the bills otherwise, no Nigeria will come out to vote
Nigeria go better everly
