There was a video recently where a journalist went to his hometown in Esanland and noticed not even a single block has been built in his father's village in Esan and all his father's kinsmen were all complaining.
Also, Osimhen despite claiming Edo State has never done anything meaningful to Edo State or her youths. Later in life when maybe he finds himself in politics and wants to contest he will remember that he is from Esan in Edo State. Same thing Ighalo and some others has done. When the time comes in the future, we will play their records for them. Make them continue to the form Omo Lagos
ok.

Most Esan people are like that even those I have seen in lagos they rather claim to be yoruba than edo.

Same thing happened to Asue Ighodalo that oshomhole and apc used against him. He can speak yoruba fluently but can't speak Esan his language and all this while his impact wasn't felt in esan land. Now in 2024 he came wanting to be governor of edo state.

By large education and achievements wise he is miles ahead of Okpebelo but being that the later is a home boy thoroughly bred Esan man that stood also as an advantage for him.

I think the only edos you'll see despite where they're they also identify with home are the Binis, and some tribes from edo north

Notwithstanding I wish oshimen well in neglecting his state and local government of origin

this is one of the problems with a lot of kids born and bred in Lagos. They are almost the same with kids groomed overseas who doesn’t care about their ancestral homes but country/city of birth

Osimhen sees himself more like a lagosian than an Esan boy. He will only remember his roots when he is done with his career and harbour the ambition to venture into politics Na then lagosians/yoruba folks go remind am of where he is from 🤣🤣🤣🤣

it’s very common with people from the old bendel state

Many of those kids doesn’t even know where their ancestral homes are. Go places like Aj, Orile, Mushin dem full there. Year to year their parents don’t take them home

I say we are waiting for them.
When the time comes we will surely play them their own cassette. With all the stars that has come out of Edo State, none of them could open an ordinary football academy in Edo State...rather they will go and be opening such in Lagos State.
It was this same thing that happened to Asue Ighodalo in the last Edo governorship election. He was a good man with a nice CV but he was never seen or known as an EDO BOY. He didn't had a home in Edo State until prior to the election when he came and bought a 3 bedroom apartment. We told and showed him to his face that we do not know him in Edo State. After election he don still japa comot for the state 🤣🤣. If not for Oshiomhole that helped and was kneeling down during campaign begging everyone on behalf of Obaseki in 2016, it was the same treatment we wanted melting to Obaseki. So make them Osimhen and others continue, we are watching them.
About 4 years ago I was at Pastor Chris Oyakhilomen village in Irrua, even his ancestral home was in tattered

Sorry to say, I do not know who would be offended here, it's not intentional. I love my Yoruba people wholeheartedly but Yoruba women are always fond of doing such. Most of these Edo men in Lagos or South west whose children doesn't know or visit Edo were married to Yoruba women. These Yoruba women always derive pleasures in turning their children to look towards where they came from instead of where their fathers comes from.
I have a lot of instances. I schooled and stayed in Lagos, there was an Edo Family then that the children had never been to Edo State. It was when the first soon got admission to uniben that he visited Edo State for the first time, during post UTME

It's basically not all Esans. Uromi where I come from hardly behaves that way. Most Uromi indigenes always think home first before thinking Benin city or any other places. I have Uromi relatives and friends that stays abroad, they have bought houses in Lagos but before then, then made sure they built houses in Uromi. But you see those other Esans? Ekpoma where Ighalo hails from, Irrua where Osimhen and Ighodalo hails from and Igueben, their heads nor correct. Ubiajians are still trying small small

bro I saw the interview at osimhen’s community few days ago on X, baba that community and the people need serious help and attention

I’m not saying that Osimhen should be the one responsible for development in the town but atleast him and others that are well to do need to help the people and the community

Terem Moffi came off the bench and also scored for OGC Nice helping them to a UCL Qualification Spot (not automatic).
Good to see him back. Hopefully he impresses early next season to make it back to the SE.

Dessers, Tolu, Moffi. Good options

Eric Chelle should convince Emeka Emegha of Strasbourg to dorn the green white green jersey.
Both of his parents are Nigerians even though he has played for Netherlands in their youth team.

What of Orban ?

Since Getafe uses 4-4-2, would Chrisantus Uche serve as a striker

Victor Osimhen is now Galatasaray's second highest African top scorer and the first Nigerian top scorer in the history of the club!🔥🇳🇬

He's done this in one season! Shattering records and setting new ones.

1. Shabani Nonda – 37 goals in 93 matches
2. Victor Osimhen – 35 goals in 39 matches (and counting) 🆕
3. Sofiane Feghouli – 34 goals in 162 matches
4. Mbaye Digne – 26 goals
5. Henry Onyekuru – 22 goals in 71 matches
6. Younès Belhanda – 22 goals
7. Didier Drogba – 20 goals in 53 matches
8. Mostafa Mohammed – 17 goals in 57 matches
9. Garry Rodrigues – 16 goals
10. Aurélien Chedjou – 12 goals in 119 matches

Victor Osimhen still has 3 matches to go and 3 more goals to top this chart in a season! On LOAN! 🔥
King of Strikers! 🦁👑🇳🇬
Osimhen needs two more goal right now. This is his true statement call to prove when you are BIG you are BIG

He plays as one of the two forwards for his club
I think he starts front 3 if we play 3-4-3
Lookman- Osimhen- Uche
But I doubt this coach uses this formation

U20 Nig 4 Egy 2
Bronze medal secured
Seem our guys are the best penalty takers in this tournament
2 outstanding penalties from Ayuma and Maigana
Though wasteful in front of goal but they made it to 3rd.
Congratulations to them
Now we come back home and boost that team it's gonna be a lot of work

I must say that Eberechi Eze may not have turned out for Nigeria but I am happy for how his career hss turned out so far. Taking Crystal palace to their first major trophy in their entire history is huge and remarkable and doing it against the biggest clubside of the last decade in England, Man City was even sweeter.

Congrats Eze.

Just too bad this still wont get him Regular England starts. But City or Arsenal needs a player like Eze.

Eze will be a huge upgrade on Odegaard and also a fair KDB replacement with a touch of David Silva (although Wirtz is eyed by City too).
'huge upgrade on Odegaard and also a fair KDB replacement'. I like how you put it
