Even when tinubu was not yet president and still had the aura of mystery, atiku got most of the northern votes.

Why do you think tinubu would do better now in the polls after already shitting the bed?

Many of you just open your mouths and spew emotional nonsense. When we talk we talk with facts and logic.

1: no northern politician who intends to be president (and there are many delusional as some may be) is going to sacrifice his presidential ambition for Atiku with the possibility of Obi succeeding him and serving 8 years. For instance, I can guarantee you as much as one human can predict the actions of another that Bala Mohammed will on the down low sabotage Atiku!

2: northern politicians are strategic unlike you emotional dim…wits! They know at this stage it is better to let the south finish their 2 terms because:
a) there will be no contention with the south and southern votes and if they support Tinubu, they can count on the block SW vote.
b) allowing Atiku to serve one term and handover to Obi means they will have to shelve their presidential ambitions for 14 years. Atiku cannot handover to another Northerner!
c)if they wait till 2031, Atiku will be out of the picture, they don’t have to contend with a SW candidate and it’s block votes are up for grabs.
d) 2031 is the turn of the North, if you as a Northerner miss your chance and allow another northerner to take it, it is gone! Same reason the likes of Osinbajo, Bakare, Fayemi contestested against Tinubu….they knew it was now or never. If they did t get it that’s the end because the next SW slot was in 40yrs.

The North understand politics, you don’t!

Finally see results below. Tinubu defeated Atiku in the north by overall votes and by zones. Perhaps you are t good at math, so I have provided the figures below and you can make use of a calculator! I assume you know how to use one? Tinubu won 2 out of 3 zones and the overall Northern vote. Atiku has never won the Northern vote in all his attempts at the presidency….in the words of your master “go and verify”


You post with with emotion not facts and good reasoning. You post to make your narrative fit your destination and ignore the facts aand realities on the ground. Sensible people look at the facts and draw a conclusion from there not the other way round!

The north will vote whom their leaders tell them to vote. I always make the point that all you people speaking English are less than 10% of the population. The 90% who determine who wins elections at national and state level don’t think like you. This is the biggest mistake educated Nigerians make!


Finally, Atiku is not getting the PDP ticket. Which opens the door to another strategic 3 way vote split this time engineered to dent the Atiku/obi ticket. If he does Southern PDP will revolt.

To me, I think this is a welcome idea.
ATIKU, after Buhari, is the most popular politician in the entire North and he's sellable. While OBI is also well loved and popular among Nigerians. Their synergy and collaboration will undoubtedly dethrone the incumbent just like what happened in 2015.

What is wrong in Atiku using his structure to support PO?
This is greed and desperation on the part of AA the loophole to floor the ticket by APC.
Tinubu collapsed his structure to support Buhari then, he was consolidating on that gains to project himself and he became unstoppable despite all. Why can't AA learn from that and do the same for Obi if he really loves Nigeria and not the personal grandstanding!

I need to know the party platform they are using, but if it's PDP it's already a loss ticket.

Running with atiku should be the best option for obi if he decides to run alone again in 2027 it's guaranteed tinibu will definitely use his rigging machinery to make obi not to even see the third position he took in 2023 but with atiku the rigging can be contained significantly in the north.
