Hello House! Anyone figured this out please? I'd like to schedule my appointment via Enugu but I can't find it on the VFS page. Is there a number I can reach out to for VFS enquiries? Zeni06: |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 4:06pm On May 18, 2025 |
Zeni06:Since transition from TLS to VFS— no additional centres outside Lagos and Abuja. Maybe it will come onboard later. |

Good morning everyone. Thanks for all the inputs here, they’ve been truly helpful. Please I’m applying for a visa and I need help filling out some sections online. 1. The part for any other income/ savings- I have savings but it’s TBILLs… do I include it as savings and also submit the certificate in my application as proof? 2. The monthly expenditure part… how do I calculate please? Do I add up expenditure for the period under review and just take the average? 3. How much is okay for me to put if I’m going to spend a week in the UK. I have accommodation and feeding sorted by my host, just flight fare and small money to shop or move around. I’d appreciate your responses please. Thank you. |

Good morning everyone. Please help me check the following refusal. I invite my friend but she was denied on baseless reasons. Please help us out on what to do because she stated in her personal letter she wrote it was stated that N130,000 is hermonthly expenditure but didn't spend up to that as her monthly expenses is dependent on her need need in a particular month. It was clearly stated there. Will she say because she is working she won't spend her money again because they said she has a low opening balance. Her opening balance was N889,000. She also make N720,000 from her rent annually which was paid into her account on September 2, 2024. Please help us on what to do. Giselle and others please help. Thank you.

Hi everyone, please does anyone know if priority services are still available the 24 hours one and 5 working days? I didn't the see option, I sent an email to VFS no response. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 3:40pm On May 19, 2025*. Modified: 4:40pm On May 19, 2025 |
lawrins8:You were denied in April, just this April. Instead of correcting mistakes and waiting till circumstances changed— you reapplied in May. Why? Opening balance of 889k, closing balance 5million plus… but your disposable income is about 400k, they can not understand how you accumulated 5m. The visit is to see a friend according to your refusal letter- It is not that deep and they will not be bothered to grant such a visa as its not compulsory. Your friend can travel to meet you. After 2 refusals— do not add more to your immigration history. Please wait a while your profile will not get a UK visa now. |

Aurallure:Happy for you , please i want to ask, did your husband write a letter as sponsor to the funds he credited in your account or he submitted his account statement as ? also please how much did you say the kids would be spending each ?? |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Aurallure: 4:12pm On May 19, 2025 |
saint4belles:He wrote a sponsorship letter and also attached his bank statement to show where the money came from and also explained with evidence how he was able to accumulate such funds. I didn’t separate the funds. I did this: Return flight for I and my kids: 1300 pounds Living expenses for 10 days for I and my kids: 250pounds Sighting seeing and fun activities: 200pounds Miscellaneous: 100 pounds. Total expenses: 1,850 pounds. Total budgeted: 2,100 pounds My sister advised me not to spend all the money budgeted so the visa officer could see that even after my expenses I still have some portion of my budgeted funds left. Don’t know if this in anyway helped my application too |

lawrins8:openining Balance 889k 6 month salary 525k times 6 3m150k rental 720k everything is still not up to 5m and your monthly expenditure has not been deducted. The statement is not well explained |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by lawrins8: 5:02pm On May 19, 2025 |
giselle237:Thanks for your response. Please note that the bank statement submitted was about nine months from last year July till April 2025. She also received rent of her twin flat in September 2024 which was 720k. All these added up. The reason for first refusal in March was because they said they couldn't find the evidence that she truly got rent from her tenants which were submitted and still submitted again this time and they acknowledged it now. Are they saying she shouldn't spend money on other things since she started working apart from her monthly expenses? Please when can she reapply and what do you think can be done in this situation incase of next application? Thank you. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by lawrins8: 5:10pm On May 19, 2025 |
saint4belles:Please note that she submitted Nine Month statement of account from July 2024 to April 2025. Also she had rent paid into her account on September 2, 2024. The account statement also shows monthly withdrawals before paying next salary. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 5:49pm On May 19, 2025 |
lawrins8:They mentioned that the £5.6 million you reported doesn’t seem to match your salary. They calculated that with your disposable income of £396,000, it wouldn’t be possible to save £5.6 million in just 8 months. They think it would be closer to around £3 million, but you presented £5 million. It feels like as soon as you returned without any change in your circumstances as is usually advised, they decided to deny your application right away. They think your financial situation is NOT GENUINE and to me it looks like you’re just trying to visit a friend without a solid reason. I also think they didn’t spend much time reviewing your application and felt it was easier to just refuse you. Worst case- send a complaint email. This way, you might get a more detailed explanation for the refusal from another ECO. |
