Note: Always check again and again that your documents have been uploaded. I am doing application for someone and I just decided to check what I uploaded so far and I found out payslip was missing. And today is the biometric appointment. I checked the screenshot I made previously of the uploaded documents to be sure the fault is from me. I didn't find payslip in the screenshot I have to upload the payslip immediately and screenshot the uploaded files again. |

Hello everyone. Pls I need some clarity from gurus in the house. I have two accounts. One is my salary account while the other is a saving account which I use for my daily expenses. At the beginning of the month I transfer all my expense for that month from my salary account to my saving account. My question is, should I submit the two account statements (both salary and saving ) or just my salary account. The saving account barely has above 500k while the salary account has the majority of my funds. Thanks Cc Cashmadam davodguy |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Cashmadam: 11:08am On May 20, 2025 |
Manmann:Your salary acount is sufficient since there is no substantial money in your savings account. If you have substantial money in your savings, then you can add it as it shows details of your monthly expenses. |

Pls If one is to build a travel history for UK for a Nigerian with a virgin passport, what are the recognizable countries by UK and Schengen? And how many countries would one have to visit? |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Cashmadam: 2:46pm On May 20, 2025 |

Cashmadam:A quick travel history is needed, like what can be done within 2 months. Can I DM you? |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Ashirioluwa: 6:49pm On May 20, 2025 |
solid3:While previous travel history can be a positive factor, it's not a requirement. The officers consider various factors, including the applicant's employment status, financial situation, social ties, home ties, or intent to return home. If you read through the past comments here on the Nairaland forum, you will see that there are lots of testimonies from first-time applicants who were able to get their visas even though they had no travel history before they submitted their applications. All you need to do is make sure that application is properly packaged and that you meet the requirements. |

As of today, what's the earliest appointment date for either VI or Ikeja? Secondly is there a way to check this without necessarily accessing the portal to book an appointment? |

Good morning, everyone. Please help with affordable flight (round trip) options with no stop overs. Thank you. 🙏 |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 12:33pm On May 21, 2025 |
Eujn:Direct round-trip flights are available with Virgin Atlantic or British Airways, but please be aware that they tend to be quite expensive. If you prefer a direct flight, you need to budget more for that added comfort. I recommend checking for tickets after the summer, as prices may be more favourable then. Go for air peace if you can manage suffering whilst on a direct flight. |

giselle237:Thanks for the response. The suffering can be managed then lol. |

Good afternoon everyone, pls i need your urgent response. I did my biometric on 19th Of May, i am yet to receive a mail from UKVI to confirm my application. I only received a message from vfs global. Is this normal or i need to send a mail regarding this? |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by lekefew: 3:29pm On May 21, 2025 |
@onile1975 The original poster is the one that got their visa approved. I was only asking for other people that had their biometrics on 29th if they have received feedback, because I did mine on 29th. The original poster did theirs on 28th and got a feedback on May 16th, so I was expecting to receive my feedback the following day but I did not. onile1975: |

Thankful I got a notification from vfs that a decision has been made. No rejection email so I'm hoping the visa has been issued. Biometrics was April 29. Application for a family of 3, myself, wife and daughter, purpose is tourism, no invitation letter, I'm the sponsor. Documents submitted => CAC certificate for my business, status report to show the business is active, operating license because my industry is heavily regulated (telecoms), Mermat from CAC to show I'm a director and majority shareholder, recent invoices from other telecoms companies we work with to show the business is very active, flight booking, hotel reservation, 5 months personal bank statement with a balance of 26M, 150M turnover in those 5 months, landed property document, cover letter explaining the large credits and debits in my statement (I told them the large credits are owner's withdrawal from my business and can come at anytime based on my discretion as the owner of the business). I wrote in my cover letter that I obviously have established myself well in Nigeria as evident in my business which I have provided proof for, and my financial situation, and based on this, it will be against my own interest to go and be living an an illegal immigrant in the UK. My wife also submitted her own bank statement even though I am the one sponsoring the trip, letter from her work place and her pay slip. We also have recent travel history to Canada and UAE and we included the scanned copies of the visa and airport stamps. lekefew: |
