Hormorlarah:That's not how it works. Anabin is updated by the German government. Forget that thing you saw on ChatGPT. If you course is not stated on Anabin, you'll be asked to go and do ZAB during preliminary review. The only exception is for those that have a close name. E.g. you studied electrical engineering, but it's Electrical/Electronics engineering on Anabin |

bossylingua:The years of experience is needed if you're using a point based system. So look at the anabin database and confirm that your course is there. If it is, just write a solid CV and attach to your profile. They just wanna see a recognised degree. Though you can only get a blue card if you have 3 years of experience in IT if your degree is not IT related. Else, the blue card is offered for a job in your field So what you'll get in Germany is a normal work visa since you don't have the required experience. Fear not, you can get Permanent residence in 33 months if you have B1 German. This will ideally be 21 months if you have a blue card https://www.make-it-in-germany.com/en/visa-residence/types/eu-blue-card |

Haliimmaa:Search for Dr Walter's and use one of the providers. When you get to Germany, please cancel it and join a public insurance if you are below 30. You can read about insurance in Germany to know why |

Hi, @Hannania. I want to ask; I heard that the 1 year validity of the Chancenkarte starts to count exactly when one step foot into Germany. And that when one's visa is approved, there's usually a period of entry, say xx-date to yy-date. Not sure, but apparently, the entry period differs from each applicant's home country. Do you have an idea what that period is for Nigeria; 30, 60, 90 days? And is there a maximum "intended date of travel" for the Chancenkarte visa application? For example, can I start applying for Chancenkarte now, if I plan to travel around mid next year? Thanks for your time! |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Nobody: 8:27pm On May 19, 2025 |
ashraf267:The date does not start counting when you enter Germany. The validity date will be stated on your ticket. It will be exactly 1 year. So if you're approved and decide to wait in Nigeria, just know what's on your passport is the decider. So chose carefully the date you wanna travel |

Hello, I’m new here and I’d like to ask in regards to the opportunity card online application. For the Recognition of a university degree and Recognition of a higher education institution section in the document upload on the online application, am I to upload my university degree or I’m to upload a document that proves that my university is recognized in Germany through Anabin for both section? |

Is there a reason why? Also, will i be refunded? Hannania: |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Haliimmaa: 3:34pm On May 21, 2025 |
I'm not sure I understand this. In my application on the portal, I out my travel date on April 30th hoping I'd get a visa before then. When my visa is approved, will the date be adjusted or will they put my travel date as April 30th? Hannania: |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Nobody: 9:08pm On May 21, 2025 |
Haliimmaa:The date will begin from the very day your visa is stamped at the embassy regardless of what you imputed if the date has passed. If it is ahead, they'll stick to it. |

Hannania:Hello Hannania, For clarity on your last sentence, if the travel date I filled out in the form is October 2025, I interview and my visa is granted in May 2025, what date will the visa commence from? Stamp date or future intended travel date? |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by ZiggyZiggy: 9:03am On May 22, 2025 |
It will be adjusted to the day they stamp it because April 30th has passed Haliimmaa: |

Do you remember the exact date you joined the waitlist? Haliimmaa: |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Nobody: 9:34am On May 22, 2025 |
Sid57:Future date. You only get stamped date if your intended date has passed. They sometimes call or email you to ask for your new preferred date if your chosen date has passed |

chunkuli:Someone wrote to enquire about the 6 months and the feedback from the Lagos Consular said he can go ahead |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Nobody: 9:25pm On May 23, 2025 |
chunkuli:You can't travel with your son. Your wife has to apply for chancenkarte and also meer the block account or sponsorship letter requirements. No one has been approved with 6 months BA yet! The two people I know that tried earlier this year were asked to update it or get their application deleted. You have to try and see. Note: if they don't , you must complete it before 30 days or else they will delete your application and you start all over again |

For those that have submitted their documents and join the waitlist. Please let's state the date we join the waitlist so as to know the date the embassy stopped for the submission for the preliminary review. The embassy last Friday asked those who joined March 5th to submit for preliminary review and March 6th applicants are still on the waitlist, which means they stopped at March 5th. So let's state when we submit to join the waitlist. I joined March 20th, please state yours. |

Hello @Hannania, I tried to reach out to you earlier. Pls I have few questions… My school uniben has the H+ sign and my degree, medical laboratory science is showing correspond but it’s actually under University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Can I use both printout as evidence of recognition? Secondly, I intend to ask my brother in-law for SL though he is the only one responsible for the family bills as my sister has been looking after their 3 kids. Do you think he can afford to send me an SL? I will attach a screenshot of the printout and my pry schl certificate if they will suffice
|
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Nobody: 9:09pm On May 25, 2025 |
Kaigheyisi:Firstly, take that primary certificate, and ask the primary board in your state to issue you a verified one with a stamp and serial number. Secondly, on Anabin it is written as Bachelor of Medical laboratory science. Not Bachelors of Science in Laboratory science. This is a 50/50 shot. So I'll advise you to apply with it while doing ZAB just incase. For SL, ask your in-law to walk into the ausländerbehörde of his city and request for the letter. They alone will confirm that since every city has a minimum requirement. Lastly, there's no more rejection appeal at the German embassy form 1st of July. So be careful in your application. Once you're rejected, you have to start again or possibly wait for one year before joining the queue again. So make sure all your documents are original and do ZAB just incase because Med lab is not there |

Hannania:Thank You very much. Just a quick one, I don’t know if all application is done online because I reside in Abuja and online application is not available in Abuja. Can I apply online to Lagos Consulate even though I stay in Abuja? |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Kaigheyisi: 7:44am On May 26, 2025 |
I search my document archive and I came across this. I don’t know if this is what you’re talking about regarding the pry schl cert.
