With Bitcoin making a new All Time High of almost $112k, I decided to scroll through my previous posts and I came across this post from 11yrs ago when I tried to sell bitcoins on Nairaland. Extremely sad to see how devalued our currency has become since then. The best advice I can give anyone is to convert a majority of your savings into Bitcoin. All fiat currencies, from Naira to dollar will continue to lose value due to hyper inflation and unaccountable over printing of worthless paper money. Keep stacking, keep DCA, your future self and children will be proud and happy you did something at this pivotal moment in human history. As funny as it sounds, we are still very early on this journey. Where we are now, pales in comparison to where we are going.

Omo, I was trading yesterday on my Quidax account when I wanted to convert my Bitcoin to naira and then boom, I saw this bullish trend break out on my, the first time such will be happening and then I had to sit patiently and settle for this.

This is my first experience of market volatility and I now understand what it means to use a stop loss but I think a psychological stop loss is the best because what if I am too greedy at the time and I didn't use my stop-loss properly, that is how I will get cut.

I close my XCN position in loss…

BTC was created to only go up and it doesn't need a reason to do that (just as humans are born to grow whether we like it or not), but to go down, it needs a reason like

1. Bear market or
2. Bad news or
3. Overwhelmingly greedy long positions that is 80% more than short so they can be liquidated for exchanges to make money or
4. A giant whale who's tired of enduring sells billions at market order.

Also, for a human to go down, we need reasons like

1. Poor health or
2. Old age or
3. Lack of energy or
4. Spiritual battles

BTC is just like a human, but replenishes after weeks, months or years.

So, we need one of the above to make decisions on a dump.

Currently, there is no strong bad news except weekly and monthly volume being low.

Even though BTC was built to only go up, the market still goes down in a bull market more than it goes up, but when it does go up, it's unexpected parabolic pumps to liquidate all shorts.

Since approximately 112k has been achieved, which is +7k, we're left with +12k which will take us to 114k.

Now, the problem is, are we going to go for it or attempt to go for it to trigger more FOMO, then dump on them and reset the market?

This, I don't know since I can't control the market, but I'm prepared for it.

I really want the market to go up for everyone to be happy, but I pity alts. If BTC dumps to 90-80k, alts will be in trouble.

In summary, I'm waiting for my usual 10% in a day to take real action. The other actions I took are just for adrenaline rush, not my main positions. It's been a month since we had 10% daily volatility.

Being in a short positions and still praying for a pump (for a better short entry) is the best form of I-don't-care. It makes me to be neutral with the direction of the market. This takes away emotional attachment to your bias.

Nice, though some altcoins haven't risen above previous Sunday high. I don't trust the major players. I don't mind if btc goes down again to create another buying opportunities.
