Tinubu is actually working, we need to give him 12 years to fix the country, PDP really caused lot of damaged to this country.

Nigerians are lazy, that is why the economy is bad.

Nigerians love luxury, why going for shopping when you can easily take gari and stream water.

That is what some stupid and blind followers will say.
grin No be only stream water, na Kainji dam.

Go to banks and see, banks quiet now like watin. Na everywhere ooo, May God help us
As for banks, technology has taken over a lot of jobs. A.I. will soon do even worse. A.I. is better at teaching, accounting, law, ict and even gaining momentum in medical diagnosis.

So banks can't be full when there are 5 million POS agents and 100 e-channels. The last time I visited a bank was in October2024 to quarrel with my bank. Before then, the last time was a week after 2023 general elections to resolve failed transaction on the election eve.

Nigeria Under Tinubu Economy: Lady Shows What ShopRite Ilorin Looks Like:

This account, Somto Okonkwo, clearly harbors deep resentment towards Nigeria. He hides under the guise of advocating for good governance, but it’s all a smokescreen. His posts are consistently negative—targeting Nigeria and Tinubu’s government—with not a single word of positivity.

He's not interested in building the country. He openly agitates for Biafra and is a hardcore Obidient. I’ve blocked his account on X because, frankly, he can't be trusted. His bitterness over Peter Obi’s loss has turned into a campaign of wishing harm upon Nigeria—and that’s unacceptable.

Location you set up your business matters alot. Besides all business no matter how good they're have both pick and off pick period. You can't expect someone who bought toothpaste yesterday to also come to purchase same items. Besides ShopRite might not be the only mall there and you can't be expecting same 💯 patronage every now and then. Cheers!

Edusouls:

Actually no one believed there could be a worse president than Bubu. I'm still believing that despite the failings of Timbulu, he could still be better than the MACBAN boss. Bubu was the worst nightmare of an ordinary Nigerian. Most of today's mismanagement is a continuation from the Bubu govt. Killer herdsmen, Boko Haram, banditry and kidnapping went on freely in Nigeria. Anti corruption fight became a recruitment drive for Agrieved Politicians Committee and whoever crossed over the Jordan to the committee became a saint. That's where it started.

The insecurity went ahead freely, no security chief was sacked or even changed (where is that one with snakes sef?) and unfortunately our President was not awia. At least we now have a President who said social media and him are not friends, but one can easily send his son a message to tell his papa. Because he can hear. That's a good thing.

But Bubu was one President that no matter what you say and shout he wouldn't be aware (awhia), because he didn't just hear, despite the ear surgery.

Nobody believed we could have life this hard, except me. I had known long ago that going by the way they were running the country, even the Sacred and Holy Son of God, Jesus or the holy Prophet Mohammed, should take over the country in 2023, it was still going to get worse, until it gets better.

But going by what we are seeing, it's going worse and worse, and there's no end in sight.

If you are making excuses and defenses for this present administration (I’m not saying you are doing that, I said “if”) then you are one of the people working against the good of the nation. There are many people on this forum that are defending bad governance for various reasons like tribalism, religious and political affiliation, stipends they get, etc.

Jonathan is past tense. The reason why he is not at the helm now is because Nigerians deemed him unworthy to continue. There is someone on that seat now. We need to judge him objectively and dispassionately - for the future of the country.

The political class are uniting more than ever before because there is more money to share and the man on ground is not shy of spending whenever he needs to. But the people whose livelihood are being taken away are fighting for these men instead of fighting for themeslves.
If you knew anything about good governance, you won't be here castigating any political party.
Also, the past is very important. It's many of the past actions that puts us in the present situation. Mind you, I'm not in support of this current government.
Re: Lady Shows What Shoprite Ilorin Looks Like Now (Video) by oluseg2: 11:45pm On May 22, 2025
My brother. The major truth is that Shoprite is owing so many Suppliers including major manufacturing companies so some have stopped supplying them while others are controlling their risk

aylipple:
Foot falls at shopping malls in some parts of the country are now being used as a benchmark to measure the success or otherwise of the Tinubu admin.
While those who use this indices to measure the admin may not be entirely wrong, it’s also not an accurate reflection of the economic situation in the country; before my position is mistaken as denying the existence of economic hardship realities across the country, what I’m saying is there are other ways to measure than using foot fall in malls
For instance, the video could’ve been made on a slow business day or time also, the fact remains that if any such business owners in the mall aren’t making sales in volumes that cover their running costs and then some little profit, they would’ve closed shop without delay to cut further incurring losses.
Finally, they try to paint the economy as very terrible & unfavorable to businesses yet, their hero who came 3rd in the last presidential elections, has rebuilt his mall (Next Cash & Carry) that was burnt down in a fire accident some few years back; he will restock the business, employ new hands, etc knowing how business owners operate and project, if the economy isn’t viable and doesn’t support businesses to grow and make profit, would he have bothered to reinvest tens of billions to rebuilding? Who rebuilds in a dying or stiffling economy?

A lot of people here aren’t upset because the economy is tough—they’re happy it’s tough. Let’s be honest. Some of you have been waiting for things to go bad just so you can say “I told you so.”

These are emergency lovers of Nigeria. They only show up when there’s a mess, just so they can gloat. And let’s not kid ourselves—their hate for the president is driving half the outrage. The hardship is real, but the excitement to see it fail? That’s even louder.

But here’s the thing: economies don’t reform without short-term pain. China liberalized its economy in the ’80s, and by 1988 inflation was 18.5%. People were panic-buying, savings evaporated overnight, and the streets were tense.

Did they turn back? No. They pushed through and ended up lifting 800 million people out of poverty.

You can hate the government, but don’t lie to yourself about how economic reform works. If we don’t fix the fundamentals now, we’ll be in this same cycle 10 years from today—still subsidizing failure and importing what we should be producing.

Stay mad, but stay honest

You're very correct. I have an old classmate that said after the elections that he will be praying for the president. If you see how happy the guy is now. And this dude works with CBN o...getting paid by the same government he is praying to fail.
