6 months and counting since I applied for visiting visa, even my pp will expire in 3 month time and I need to renew it, agents are posting visa approval regularly while us that DIY don't know whether we are getting approval or not, I just pray I don't get denied after keeping my pp and documents for ages. I've sent several emails to know the situation of my application but no response. May God help us sha. |

First of all, whenever you see the guy named Emmanuel — the one Tunde Ednut posted a video about — just know that although Emmanuel paid Tunde Ednut for the post, it's not Tunde's fault. Emmanuel made a video about Brazil’s visa process, leaking many sensitive details and also spreading false information. Hold him responsible for all of this. As for the agents advertising visas on social media, most of them are fake. Be warned! |

I want to ask if anybody knows how to make complain against the Brazilian Consulate. Because keeping passport for over 6months for a visiting visa its not fair to us DIY. |
| Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by TadeDetule: 1:53pm On May 13, 2025 |
sadegivens0:I wouldnt see the need. Although I had such plan but I advised myself against doing so. The fact is who will take the action to them if you make it? NIS abi NAPTIP abi Police force? You will be shocked to know that Brazilian consulate could be on this platform. The fact is every applicant is a liar or fraud until proven not so, hence they would want to look out for new clues that people are using for them. So thats why I shake my head for some Youtubers. Content is good and cool but no be every cloth fits the sunrays. |

Why anyone is not talking about family reunion visa, as anyone here applied for family reunion and if got approved |
| Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by TadeDetule: 2:19am On May 19, 2025 |
Its quite slow now. Those that applied since January are still waiting. Someone applied in June, 2024 and got approved in March 2025. Yosfaolu: |

Hello everyone, Just recently, it appears that I submitted my visa application and documents without the manual visa application form and application receipts as instructed before I sent it to the Consular. Upon receiving my visa application and documents, the Consular Section then sent me an email that stating: Your visa application documents were received in our consulate without the mandatory manual visa application form. It is necessary that you fill out the manual visa application form herewith attached to this email for the continuation of your visa application processing. Upon receiving that email from the Consular Section, I wasted no time to fill out the manual visa application form and I also include the application receipts as well. Afterward, I sent it through courier service again and it was received just yesterday. So, my question is: will this oversight by failing to include manual visa application form or even more importantly my failure to include the application receipts will automatically means disadvantage of my application? I will appreciate any suggestions or advice as at this stage. |

How like to add that the first time that I sent my visa application and documents that i did attached this email stating: The Consulate has added the following comment to your service 'VIVIS (Visit Visa) - short term visit (less than 90 days)': To proceed with submitting your application, please send your documents via a courier service. Ensure you include a prepaid return bag, passports, and all other supporting documents. Please print and include this authorization message with your documents. Remember to include proof of payment for the consular fees. I also included the proof of payment for the consular fees that i attached to my initial visa application and documents. |

Hello Guys, I see that visa application fees is now going to be in USD effective 1st June 2025. Is it possible to make payment for family tourist visa right now before we commence the application, to avoid the wahala of dollar payments. What do you think? In addition to the above, I will like to kindly request that anyone who has applied for family reunion or tourist visa should help or chat me on the number in signature below. I will like to get help on step by step process to include my family in the application. Thank you |

There isnt any penalty whatsoever cos of the omission. Once your documents are genuine they have no reason to deny you. They usually send emails and reminders if there is an omitted or expired document. A general info, what they check is the authenticity of both your documents and intention. Thats all. What they apply to either approve or deny is simple psychology. For example, someone that has been working for 10 years in a particular field is planning to go for MSc. in a totally different field will definitely raise a question cos they would want to know about the gap and the field swap. sadegivens0: |

I dont think that would be acceptable. I tried applying for my son's CPF before doing the online application to save time because we were waiting for his passport to be issued. They turned it down. But if you are talking about applying by next week or so, then that is fine cos in the first place, you are expected to pay for ahead of sending in your application. My opinion though. Griot77: |

hello everyone, please those that previously got their visas, where you given one year or 3 months.? |
| Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by TadeDetule: 5:23pm On May 30, 2025 |
Its still one year but you are now expected to get into the country within 3 months of approval. icu4: |
| Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by icu4: 6:09pm On May 30, 2025 |
TadeDetule:Thanks for your response. Does that mean the visa can’t be used if the travel date is more than 3 months from the date of approval. Even though the validity says one year. |
| Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by sadegivens0: 9:36pm On May 30, 2025 |
I hope this answers your question or concern. This is the info from Google: If Brazil issues a one-year visa, you have 12 months to travel and enter Brazil with that visa. Once you enter, your stay is typically limited to 90 days per entry. You can potentially extend your stay beyond 90 days, but this requires applying for an extension with the Federal Police. The total length of stay in Brazil should not exceed 180 days within a 12-month period. Key Points: Visa Validity: The one-year visa allows you to enter Brazil at any time within that 12-month period. Initial Stay: Upon entry, your initial stay is typically limited to 90 days. Extension: You can apply for an extension of your stay, but it's not automatic and requires approval from the Federal Police. Maximum Stay: The total length of your stay in Brazil cannot exceed 180 days within a 12-month period. Visitor Visa (VIVIS): Often valid for one year, allowing multiple entries within that period, but each stay is typically limited to 90 days. Extensions might be possible, but the total stay within any 12-month period cannot exceed 180 days. icu4: |

At least I know this for family reunion that there is a form being filled now that the recipient will travel within 3 months of approving the visa. Plus mind you a new Consular just resumed office recently and things have really changed at the moment. My response was based on the new form. |

Omogbolahandc, it’s there any update from your application that you submitted in March this year? |

Thanking you for sharing your result. How like to ask you how much was in your Proof of Fund? And how long did your visa application took Under Review, before they finally make a decision? Marshlaw: |
| Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by Marshlaw: 3:07pm On Jun 05, 2025 |
sadegivens0:About 15m. Sent documents via DHL on May 9th, under review the next week. |
| Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by sadegivens0: 3:19pm On Jun 05, 2025 |
Wow…..the 15m POF I would have sworn is more than enough to show that you have the fund to embark on your trip. But you should go ahead and reapply again with the fund u have. It also appears that they expedite your case or they are just now moving fast this days which it makes sense in my opinion than to keep people’s passport for 6 months. My God….Brazil visa is not a joke. Thanking you for sharing your experience. |

I am thinking rules are changing. I was informed they got a new Consular earlier this year. If you notice, some additions have been added to the application (new forms). someone also informed me that she was denied even though her POF look fine. |

So sorry about your Visa denial. I will advise you consider study Visa if you really have interest in Brazil. It is easier and surer. Marshlaw: |
