The duration of Verification and legalization is 7 weeks before embassy will contact you to come and legalize. Same those going for masters with Hnd, Nd and its transcript.
Legalization fee is 20 euros per document (32k)now and you will pay for 2 documents(waec or Neco and it transcript), why Hnd and Nd holders pay for 4 documents(Nd and its transcript, Hnd and its transcript)
Note: you transcript should come from the same school you took your Neco or Waec exam.
It must be from SS1-SS3.

But note if you go for vocational sch no residence for you o, an you getting job may be scarce..so be careful.

What happens if you took private waec (GCE) can’t that be used ? Remember with such private waec, it won’t carry the name of the secondary school had my transcripts

It can be used, but you will get a letter from the sch that issued you the SS1-SS3 transcript.you will also get an affidavit from court.

Sorry I'm just replying since Jan. Actually you don't need legalisation to get your visa. If you can get admission without legalisation, you can get your visa without legalisation. Legalisation is still very important sha.

Yes MOE accept student copy, and Portugal embassy accept that too, we have drop the documents you need to authenticate for your Portugal study visa, check previous posts.
NOTE: For masters your Bsc, transcript and o level,
Your O level and (ss1-ss3) transcript if you are going for Bsc.

If embassy call you to tell you that your documents are ready for legalisation, you will go there with the documents you are to legalize.
Attached is the current price for document legalization.
Note embassy releases new price rate every new month.
