Old age comes with a lot of problems and living with old people is really difficult. Dementia, Alzheimer disease, all kinds of sickness, slowness. Old people are also very troublesome especially to their caregivers. I'm currently dealing with one and it's not easy at all. That's why I wonder how all these Nigerians that are doing care giver work in UK cope? Living with an old person is like having a child. The difference is children grow up and become independent meanwhile, old people get older and become more dependent so you are never free. Old age plus sickness is the worst.

The troublesome own is the worse part of it... Only children or grandchildren can take care of their old ones because they're used to them... Anything external caregiver, na headache

What people dont realize about old age is that it is supposed to be the best time to live life without distractions.

I know of an old woman close to 80 or so, she is fresh and lives healthy, her children are all big men and women. If that lady orders for chicken from austrailia they send to her immediately, i am talking of children working in abroad, mtn and major conglomerates in nigeria. There used to be a driver and car but these days she takes strolls around more.

The woman is well and jealously looked after.

Tell me how that kai woman nor go wake up and want to see the next day.

Pray against bad health choices, financial discomforts and things that will threaten your peace And see your old age as a new age.


Me, I am pwrsonally looking forward to growing 80-90+ I have to disturb my kids too. feel loved and cared for.

Omooo they are seriously lonely, the estate I reside in Nigeria are made up of wealthy individuals... Was friends with 2 different couples and they always wish their kids were around... Cuz they are married, schooling and working abroad.... That's when I started appreciating life more and started spending more time with my wife and kids.

All of our people on that picture are not really old.While aging is inevitable, preventing or even reversing it is within our control.Solution: Do squats,push ups ,pull ups,dead hangs,dead lift ,box jumps etc.Grip strengths has been shown to increase longevity, do it regularly.Walk everyday.Run/jog two to three times per week.Join running events like short or long distance races as this would motivate you more.A body in motion,stays in motion.

To those of you talking of money, money, you don't have to be a millionaire or rich to have a healthy aging.Most of those exercises can be performed at home.If it was all but money that equates to living longer, our people living abroad would have been living longer and healthier as well but studies show they are often overweight and die prematurely.

Exercise has proven to be the single most powerful intervention available for longevity.No other biomarker beats it.Until then,Nigeria would remain a country of the least lived humans.

Old age is brutal to the poor.. It's a judgment of your youth

The most important thing at old age is good health. Plenty of money without good is useless. Some don't recognize their children or aware of their surroundings.
Good health, loving family and small money are all you need to enjoy old age.

I have begged God 70 years old is perfect for me…

70 is still young.Denmark recently signed her retirement age to 70 years because people were living longer.Many countries would follow suit eventually.
The recent London Marathon had 29 persons of 80 years and older that participated.There is nothing to fear.How we age is within our control and this is not necessarily about how rich one is.Exercise is the elixir of life.The less we move,the quicker we age.Personally,l see myself aging to a 100 and that's not by wishing or praying but by putting the work required.
